This is my second attempt at a Zoids lemon so please don't flame me. I don't own Zoids: Chaotic Century, the characters belong to their respective companies to which I have no clue as to who they are but I give them recognition anyway.

Aftermath Romances: Discoveries Part 2

The yawning sound of a young man broke the serene silence near an old laboratory as a teenage boy of about 17 or 18 years old opened his eyes to greet the new day. He heard the metallic clanking of footsteps and saw a black cybernetic lizard with a piece of paper in its mouth. "Hey Shadow, what's this?"

/All right, that would explain the sounds of Zoids walking near here. / Raven thought as he watched the girl sleep by his side with a look of content and A warm feeling spreads across him as he listened to her breathing. Raven gave a slight nudge to wake the female up only to have her snuggle even closer to his body as if it was her only source of warmth. The former Maverick sighed as he resigned himself to watching his lover sleep. /I must really love her to just let her do whatever she wants while she sleeps. I can just stay here all day. / As soon as he thought that, Raven's stomach gave out a loud rumble, waking the blue-haired beauty up.

"Nice shade of red you've got their, lover boy," Reese commented on the deep crimson that painted Raven's cheeks. You couldn't even tell that he has that red mark on his face. "Well, as comfortable of a pillow as you are, I guess, I better make breakfast." The Zoidian girl stood up, leaving the embarrassed ex-soldier to his own devices.

"Man, of all things that I go through in the name of love," Raven said to the black Organoid. They looked at each other for a few seconds before the maverick responded, "But it is worth it." Raven and Shadow walked off a bit before they returned to what they were doing before Van and Co. visited them yesterday.

Two weeks have passed and the two have just arrived in a hidden underground arena with an elevated platform in the middle. The platform is full of fighters from all over the planet Zi. Raven took notice of an insanely muscular man with shades that everyone seems to be avoiding. (a/n: I just had to put in someone that looks like Toguro Otouto from YYH.) /That must be the defending champion. The resident badass of this tournament, this guy will be my only competition. / Raven thought with little concern about the rest of the competition in the tournament and he noticed that Reese had a look of worry on her usually calm face. "What's wrong Reese?"

"That guy is so much bigger than anyone else. I'm worried if you have to fight him," Reese replied. "One hit and you might be dead." Raven grinned a little.

"That is always the big risk in full-contact fighting," Raven assured her. "It will be much harder for him to hide any deaths because of his sheer strength if he can hit as hard as it looks." Raven walked up to three elderly guys and handed them a piece of paper. After a few steps of deliberation, one of the guys spoke.

"Well given your background and training in Kempo and Jujitsu, we will give you a different challenge to qualify. Follow me." The middle guy motioned for Raven to follow him to a table near the platform. On the table, were three stacks of five bricks? "All right, this is your challenge. For the first stack, destroy all five bricks." All the fighters on the platform stopped what they were doing to watch what Raven was doing. With one punch, the maverick destroyed all five bricks. "Next, the bottom brick on the middle stack." Raven took a moment to focus and destroyed the targeted brick without breaking the others. "Good," the guy replied, "now the middle brick." This time, Raven took five minutes to concentrate, and succeeded in reducing the required brick to dust. "Good, you show power and control. You definitely earned a spot in the tournament." All the fighters clapped their hands to applaud his accomplishments.

"You are really something. How did you manage to destroy those isolated bricks after all five," Reese asked. The sun was setting and tomorrow marked the beginning of the tournament. 256 fighters from all backgrounds have gather in this one tournament to that occurs once every three years to determined the best.

"I didn't receive normal military training in the martial arts," Raven replied. "Everything that is associated with military is usually a mass production system and quality takes a hit. That's mainly why officers make custom order for their Zoids. More care is taken into building them and better quality materials are used in the production. The lower ranks are given the mass produced ones because they are cheaper to make. How I did what I did is very hard to explain and requires years of training and you don't really think that I could knock four armed Republican guards out by myself with normal military martial arts training. Two, maybe, three, pushing it, four, snowball's chance in hell."

"Okay, I know that you managed to tick off that big guy." Reese said in concern.

"Very good, but brick not hit back," the very tall guy said in an attempt to mock Raven.

-End Flashback-

"That doesn't concern me with the least bit," Raven said as he lies down on the inn's bed. "Don't worry about fights. Just make sure to bet on that guy or me with the remaining 10,000 from my last tournament. When it comes to the finals, bet on me."

"You know I will. I'm only betting on your fights anyway," Reese snuggled up to her lover. The two fell asleep in preparation of the next day's events. The next day arrives and Raven and Reese arrive at the fighting arena for the tournament's opening event. Raven was involved in the first fight against a guy he beat in the previous tournament. The ref gave the green light and Raven landed a fast side kick to the guys jaw. Raven broke two world records. One for the fastest K.O. (one second) and the other for the fastest kick (85 mph.)

/All right, at this rate, we make more than enough money to live on that for more than a few years. / Reese thought as the defending champ, Drago (a/n: okay so I like Rocky IV, I'm not good with names,) takes his turn at fighting. The match was almost as short as Drago didn't feel any of the attacks and won with one punch. The first day of the tournament went by with Raven setting one more record of the fastest punch (.05 seconds) and Reese making near 80K.

The second day went by pretty uneventful. Raven set the pace by winning his matches in less than ten seconds. Drago hospitalized his three opponents with various broken bones. The fighting had gone by so quickly; Raven and Reese enjoyed some time at the beach. "What a tournament. It looks like this year's tournament is going to be the fastest ever in terms of average time of fight." Raven commented one his record pace in fighting. He looked to see Reese shifting around trying to be comfortable.

"I don't see what the deal is with these swimsuits," Reese complained as she kept adjusting the top to her blue two-piece bathing suit. "Why do you humans make such a big issue about these?"

Raven answered, "We humans have almost always had a concern with decency. I will admit that it does seem silly."

"Us Zodians have never seen a use for the things you consider important. I- Hey what are you doing," Reese almost shouted as the dark-haired boy lifted her up in his arms and carried her to the ocean. "Oh no, don't you DAAAARRRREEEE!!!!" Raven dropped the blue-hair girl into the water, submerging Reese underwater. When Reese got back up above water, she couldn't find Raven anywhere. A pair of arms wrapped around her slim waist as Raven emerged from underwater behind her.

"Not quite Irvine. Van, Fiona, Colonel Schubalz, and Emperor Rudolph found him a couple weeks ago at an old research facility," the girl said as she watched the seen. "What kind of business does Raven have with Drago?"

"You know that guy in the shades Moonbay," Irvine asked with a surprised tone.

"Yeah, he quite known in the underworld as a bodyguard for those who pay for his services," Moonbay answered. "He is very vicious in a fight. I've heard he's never lost a fight and is a champion in some kind of full contact fighting tournament." The two just watched Raven and Reese leave the beach.

The third day of the tournament has arrived and Raven and Reese leave the inn to make it to the semifinals. Reese was dressed in a dark blue two-piece dress (think of Subaru's dress in .hack//SIGN, just dark blue,) and Raven wore casual black shirt with black jean pants. Irvine and Moonbay took notice of the two walking into an alleyway and decided to follow them to the fighting arena. When they got there, they saw Reese take a seat in the stands while Raven went to a different area. The two walked up to Reese. "Hey Reese, what are you doing in a place like this?" Moonbay asked while Irvine eyed the Zoidian suspiciously.

"Oh, Raven wanted to compete in this tournament," Reese answered. "Me, I'm watching and supporting him in these fights and using what is left of some prize money from a previous tournament to bet and make a lot of money. We started with 10,000, now we're up to 640,000. If Raven wins the finals, we'll be at 12.8 mil. His odds are ten to one against Drago, but I am worried."

"Yeah, I saw him yesterday," Irvine said. "If I were you, I'd pull my bet out before the final." Moonbay punched the mercenary for his comments. Just then, two signs popped up signaling the first semifinal match. Raven v. Bear. "He's here. Should be an interesting fight."

"You know this guy," Moonbay asked in confusion.

"Yes, remember the mercenary in the Rev Raptor that I beat four months ago," Irvine replied. Moonbay nodded remember that night or more rather the next day.

"Looks like you two are, how do you call it, an item," Reese commented reading Moonbay's mind. The two almost glared at her for sneaking into their thoughts.

"I wouldn't talk if I were you," Moonbay retorted. "We saw you two in the water at the beach yesterday." The ref signaled for the fight to start. The former Imperial soldier blocked or dodged what ever attacks came his way. After sidestepping a punch, Raven hit Bear in the stomach with a punch and followed with a vicious kick to the head that knocked Bear out cold. This was Raven's longest match in the whole tournament at 30 seconds in length.

"Now, we're at 1.28 mil in terms of money," Reese said as she applauds Raven's fight. Now Drago took to the stage. Once the fight started, Drago was ruthless with his attacks. Three punches to the ribs and head, and his opponent was out cold, but still on his feet.

"Oh, look he is still on his feet, I think he wants more," Drago said as he continued his assault with vicious punches. The ref tried to stop him from connecting with the last punch, but was powerless. The victim fell down, barely alive. Raven step onto the platform ready for the next fight. "Are you really that eager to die?" Raven just looked straight ahead.

One of the lead judges stood up. "Well normally we would take the time to prepare for the final match, but we'll wait till the fallen fighter has been taken to the hospital."

"Drago," Raven said coolly. "You went too far this time. It is one thing to hospitalize someone who could fight back, but to beat an unconscious person to death is completely ridiculous. I'll tell you this, it will be the shortest final match ever."

"So, you know what that guy's fate will be eventually," Drago commented. "This wouldn't have happened if you left my records alone. Now you will suffer that fate." The fighter was carried off and the ref got ready to start the fight. With the go ahead, Drago brought his right hand down in an axe-like chop. The attack almost hits Raven's skull before it is suddenly forced back up. The crowd is completely silent in shock. "But, I'm destined to win this fight."

"I'm sorry, there must be a misunderstanding," Raven said calmly. "This fight belongs to me." Raven punches the right shoulder. "I think that tore a few ligaments and a bunch of tendons." Raven jumped up in a spin and landed a power kick to the other shoulder. "So did that." A kick to each of the knees left Drago crippled and it wasn't even 15 seconds in the fight. Drago tried to get back up, but a kick to the face knocked him out on his back. Raven was awarded the title of champion as everyone watched in stunned silence. When the award ceremony was finished, word came of the fighter's death.

Night came by and Raven and Reese returned to their room a little worse for wear. Irvine and Moonbay treated the two to drinks at a local bar. They had a little too much to drink and they stumbled their way back to the room. "Well, this has been one hell of a weekend," Raven stated. "We've made enough money to live comfortably for the rest of our lives. I crushed everyone's expectations in the tournament. I just have one more thing to do."

"I was wondering what you meant by what you said yesterday at the beach," Reese commented.

"Yes," Raven said. "Well it has almost been a year since we've defeated the Death Saurer. During this year, I've been happier then I have ever been in my life. It has been because you've been with me this whole time and I thank you for it. What I've been trying to say is," Raven pulled a small box, "will you spend the rest of your days with me and be my wife."

Tears fell from Reese's eyes as she replied, "Yes Raven, I will. This year has been the happiest of my life as well and it was because you were with me. Raven took the ring from the box and placed it on Reese's finger while Reese undid the belt around the skirt of her dress and let it fall to the ground, revealing a blue thong. Raven undid the hook on the top leaving Reese in nothing but her underwear. Raven removes his clothes, leaving only his boxers. Raven carried Reese in his arms to the bed. The next chapter will be the very last chapter and takes place on the one year anniversary of the victory over the Death Saurer which is approximately one and a half months later. To be honest, I didn't think that this chapter would be this long. 14 pages on Microsoft Works.
