Fan Fiction ❯ A New Destiny ❯ Gathering the things we needed and having a good laugh ( Chapter 3 )

That night Kairi and me talked for hours. About boys, our past. What ever you could think of we talked about. She let me borrow some of her clothes until we could get me my own.

The next day we met up with the guys in the " secret place."

" Hey guys," Kairi said running up to them.

They turned to us and raised their eyebrows at my new attire. I wore the things that were not pink in Kairi's closet. Instead I wore black bellbottoms with chains. I also wore a red turtleneck with a black stripe going across my chest. On top of that I wore a black coat with no sleeves and buttoned just down to the end of my chest. That also had silver chains on it. I had my hair in a half ponytail with chains holding my hair up and going through out my hair.

" What," I asked looking as innocent at possible.

" Nothing," both of the guys muttered looking away.

" Alright, we need rope, logs, and cloth," Kairi stated," two logs from all of you, one cloth from Sora, and rope for Megan."

We all went our separate ways to grab what we needed. I found the rope by Tidus and two logs on the island we were on last night. I walked back and gave them to Kairi. When that was done I got back on the island and sat on the tree. I recited a small poem I learned from my mom when I was young

I had thought we would be together forever
I had thought we were one
But now this heart is broken
I guess fate has finally won

You were everything I ever wanted
But I just let you slip away
I should have tried a little harder
Just to make you stay

And now my dreams are broken
Shattered and torn in two
But I will always remember
The love that I shared with you

" Nice poem," a voice said behind me.

I whirled around to find Riku standing behind me.

" How long have you been there," I replied giving a slight glare.

" Long enough to hear your poem. Where did you learn it," he asked coming up and sitting next to me.

" From my mom when I was young," I replied looking ahead into the long plains of the sea.

" Do you know any others," Riku asked looking ahead also, following my gaze.

Even though I had my ups and downs
You were there for me all the time
Words cannot express how happy I am
To be able to look up and smile again
I thank God for answering my prayers
By sending me an angel
An angel that would guide my through my journey
A journey to my dreams
My dreams that I will fulfill
Because there is nothing that can stop me
As long as I have my loving angel with me

I recited that poem softly to him with a single tear sliding down my cheek. I felt a hand in my cheek getting rid of the tear going down my face. I leaned into the hand. Finally letting out all the pain that I was going through. The hand moved and my head found Riku's shoulder. Sighing I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around his waist. We stayed like that for who knows how long. But it didn't last as Sora and Kairi just had to show up.

" Guys," Sora yelled to us running across the bridge.

Both Riku and I stiffened and let go of each other faster then you could say snicker doodle. The sudden movement caused me to lose balance. I fell off but in the process grabbed Riku's arm. Causing both of us to fall off the tree.

" You guys ok," Kairi asked coming up to us also.

" Yeah, just peachy," I replied getting up and brushing myself off.

After getting myself brushed off I helped Riku up.

" What is it," Riku asked brushing himself off also and standing next to me.

" We've been looking for you guys all day," Sora said crossing his arms.

" Well we have been here all day," I replied looking at them like I didn't believe them.

" Well tomorrow we need to get the rations for the raft," Kairi explained.

" Fine by me," I stated.

" Ok," Sora said right after.

" … Fine," Riku replied lastly.

" Then the day after that, we leave," Kairi said happily and skipped off, " oh by the way which house are you staying at tonight?"

" Um…" I said blankly.

I hadn't thought about it all day.

" She is coming home with me," Sora demanded pulling me across the bridge.

" Fine just let go of me now," I replied my eyes flashing dangerously.

" Hehehe, sorry," Sora replied blushing and letting me go.

Suddenly a fruit passed through my line of vision.

" Huh," Sora asked dumbly.

" You wanted one didn't you," Riku asked walking past us.

" Wha…" Sora still said idiotically.

I sighed and smirked," if two people share one. Their destinies intertwine. They'll be apart of each others lives no matter what."

Riku and me started to walk off when Sora yelled, " Hey!"

We both started to laugh as Sora blushed and got mad. The four of us got into the boats and rowed home.
