A New Journey

Chapter 2: Reunion

Link entered the market. Epona gracefully walked by all the people.

Link couldn't help but wonder if anyone even recognized him. He had been gone for a few months after all.

He left the market. The castle stood in front of him now. Link remembered the first time he came there. How he had to climb of the vines and crawl through the waterway.

"Stop," a voice said interrupting Link's thoughts. Link looked at the guard. The guard did not look happy. "Only those with official business may enter the castle," the guard said sternly.

Link got off Epona and walked up to the guard. "Don't tell me you don't know who I am?" Link said.

The guard studied Link for a moment. "Oh my! Sir Link! I am so sorry! I didn't recognize you! Of course you may continue to the castle," the guard exclaimed.

"Thank you," Link said remounting Epona. Then, he proceeded toward the castle.

"Where are you? I know you said that you'd be back tomorrow but I just know

that you're already back. Why do you always avoid me?" The beautiful princess said staring out her bedroom window. "Oh, Link. Why do you have to be this way? Why do you always have to be the hero?"

"Because it's my destiny," a voice said from behind her.

Zelda turned around. "Link!" she yelled running to him and giving him a big hug. "I missed you."

"I missed you, too," Link said.

Zelda released him and looked at him. "How long have you been back?" she asked.

"I got back this morning."

Zelda frowned. "Why do you always see me last?"

"Because your annoying," Link said smiling.

Zelda laughed. "I know that's not the real reason."

"But you know the real reason."

"I was hoping it had changed while you were gone."

"Well, it hasn't."
