Diablos fell asleep on her windowsill that night, not purposely though. Saria woke up first sink she fell asleep earlier than he did and was quite suprised he had stayed through the night. Funny.....she only knew him for what was it now...2 or 3 days..and she felt as if she was with him for years with what they had gone through. Her thoughts stired as she looked at him sitting on the windowsill. The right collar flap of his jacket still open to see the bandage. She sat on a open area on the windowsill and gently took off the bandage to replace it, because the old bandage was almost all a odd and extremely dark red.

'It looks almost...so dark as if to be black if any darker....'

She thought. It was only when she look at where than bandage had been was she truly shocked. There was any mark whatsoever. She look back down at the bloody bandage itself.

"H.....how?"

She looked at him now knowing he was awake the whole time.

"I'm not exactly human"

There were many races on the planet Artemicon. Faries, *Faelves,Wizards,Witches,Gnomes,Vampires, and many others..but one stuck in her mind...a dunpeal (half vampire, half human).

"Are you a.......dunpeal..?"

"Something to that relation, but more human than vampire, and now, I am.. partly..forget it.."

"Tell me"

"No"

Saria understood why he wouldn't tell her. But she did want to know why.She stood up walking to her vanity on again. She picked up the watch and looked at the time. It was 5:30 am. She brushed her hair still thinking about him. She started braided 2 long strands of her hair out of boredom. And placed a pearl circlet on her head. He glanced over at her, she really looked like a princess now. Except for her clothes, her dress was stained and somewhat torn.

"Let me see your wrists"

She gave him an odd look.

"Why"

"Just do it"

"Yes you magesty!"

He gave one of his lopsided smiles and she undid the bandages on her wrists and showed them to him. But all that was left were scars. She looked up at him still with his lopsided smile hung on his face.

"How?!"

"Don't ask questions that shouldn't be answer right now."

She smiled and sat on the windowsill too. The window was open and she looked out and over. She felt as if she were going to fall.

"Woah....."

She leaned back in and looked at him.

"How do you stand doing that?"

"Doing what?"

"Jumping like som acrobatic into my windowsill so high up? Doesn't the fact you could fall bother you?"

"No because I would save myself"

"Oh really?"

"Really"

Soon a low sounding bellow from a woman could be heard.

"Pwincess Saria! Bweakfast!"

Diablos looked at her.

"'Bweakfast' in bed. That my que."

Saria laughed and looked at him and got off the windowsill.

"Don't say maybe about coming tonight, or I'll runaway get sick and blame it on you!"

Diablos laughed and leaned to his left making him fall out of the window but purposely.

"Maybe!"

She rushed to look out the window to watch him the he actually fell out of the window but not on purpose. But.....he was gone.

"Pwincess Saria puhlese or you'll fall out ze window!"

The short fat woman with black hair pulled back into a short braid pulled her back in and closed the window. She was a dwarf with a very odd accent.

"Puhlese Pwincess, be more carefull will ye?"

"Alright Alright"

Saria replied laughing slightly and smiling.

"You should change first m'lady!"

Saria wandered to her closet and pulled out a dress much similar to was she was wearing except it was black and red. the sleeves that started on the elbow of this one was see through black fabric with velvet stichings in it. She changed into it and walked out of her room. She sat down in a large velvet chair as the tiny woman handed her a cup of tea.

"Ya seem ta be in a good mood. What tis' the occasion?"

"Nothing"

"Pwincess, I 've got some purty grave news fer ya. Pwince Tillan was killed las' night"

"He was?"

She acted though she hadn't already known.

"Yes ma'am. They don't know who did it either."

"Oh my..."

"S'alright I suppose, never really fond of him. And the way he treated' ya"

"I know, but it's not really reason enough to kill him."

She sipped her tea. She knew it was enough to kill him.More than enough to have reason to kill him. And that she wished she was the one to do it.

"Are ye attened the dance later' on Pwincess?"

"I believe I will"

The little woman nudged Saria with her elbow.

"I bet ye be dancin' with zat man again eh? eh?"

"Hey how did you-!"

"Hehehe, Dwarves see everytin' mah dear, I tink you two a purfect couple"

The last sentence the dwarf woman said put her in a state of thinking.

"No...thats not right...royalty doesn't mix with what they call 'normal' people.....father's rules..."

"Sayz who? Dear Froto eh?"

"Saria!"

Cried an old wispy voice. She knew that voice, It was her father. She was a short not too thin not too pudgy man. He walked around with an oak wood staff with a large jade jewel at the top. His beard reached him feet. He was a very cute man.

"There you are Saria!"

"Yes Father?"

"Granted you heard the news of Tillan....you...still may not choose...your own husband...but I want you to be careful, we're trying our best to find out who killed Tillan and the guard, when we find out. The criminal with be hung.."

He looked as if he had to think about it alot. The Great King Froto.. wasn't so great anymore. He got old and feeble. And with not much time left that decision had to be made.

"Father......."

"But remember, Im not gonna live forever you know!"

"Yes ya will Froto! Now c'mon! Spunge Bath now!"

The dwarf intvened into the conversation and she dragged King Froto, who was her size out by the ear.

"Not the Sponge Bath! Saria!"

Saria laughed and thought about what to do. She glanced out a window. Her sister was coming home tonight. Her very short light brown hair curled in so much you could have sworn she was still wearing those curlers, pushed back with a crown she treasured. Everything that her sister had to be better than hers.Alita has the freedom to do what she wanted, but Father is always much more sticter with me than Alita, maybe because she always had a temper. All the think got her mad and decided to go into town until the party started.

She took her hair out of braids and her jewelery off. and put on a large hood cloak ,so she didn't look too much like a princess. She walked down near the main gates of the castle protect by guards.

'What I supposed to do?'

She though then she looked at a window. She smirked opened the window and hopped out. She walked into town looking at people buying, selling, talking, laughing, and playing. Looking around she noticed a a shop at the very corner of the village. She walked up to the shop gate and dustsed off an old sign.

"Ye Olde Shop of Magic"

Intruiged by this she dared step inside this old shop. Everything inside was as dusty and crummy as the outside looked.

"A customer?!"

A woman voice yelled running out of a room behind the counter.

"Forgive me. May I help you?"

Saria gave her a confused look.

"I was just looking....exactly what do you sell?"

"We sell weaponry, accessories, and items than enable one to use magic."

"Wow..I always wondered what it would like to use magic!"

"Well when you use the items, you can only use the magic when you have the item, the only set back is, if you want a variety of magic, you couldn't carry alot of the items."

Saria looked down. Look at all the things inside the glass display case.

"I've heard stories of Sorcercers, Warlocks, Witches, and such. Though I've never seen someone."

"That's not true, I'll let you in on a secret. Im a sorceress"

"What?!"

"Yes. You don't neccesarrily need to be evil to be one who weilds magic"

She looked down on her, her eyes locked on the pocket watch used in the most peculiar way and chuckled sosoftly that Saria couldn't hear. Saria had fixed the pocket watch to use it as a necklace.

"My that is very pretty may I see it?"

Saria unclapsed the watch and place in the hand of the shopkeeper. The shop keeper ran her ran on the cover and sais a few things in a different language while doing so.

"What are you..."

"Blessing it, for luck"

"Im sorry I never introducd myself. Im Saria"

"Saria?! oh..um ...where are my manners? I'm Sabeth"

"Nice to meet you"

Sabether gave back the watch and Saria opened it up as the tune played.

"oh no...it's almost 5:30...it was a pleasure Sabeth!"

Saria ran out the door leaving the Sabeth with a shocked look.

"A Tale's Last Requiem.."...
