Shastania Falls From The Land Of The Stars

Wait...a hand? Emerald eyes? Whu?
The god-child blinked against the harshness of the sun, rubbing her newborn eyes as she took in her new surroundings. A vison of pure gold sand stretched on from here to eternity, aglow with morning sunlight as the majestic orange sphere rose from its watery slumber. It was a beach cove, enclosed all around by high rock faces save for the gentle slope leading towards the oppal blue waves.
Where am I? she thought, sitting upright and trying to comprehend her thoughts. She could'nt remember a single thing from before she woke up. No dreams, no memories..nothing. Just a blank, empthy void where her thoughts should be. Fear gripped her tiny frame, eyes widdening as she felt a sudden rush of cold wind on her naked skin. Goosebumps rose up on the softly tanned flesh, causing her to shiver as she hugged her knees to her chest, her mind clouded with confusion.
She had no memories....no fragments of dreams to cling to.. nothing...
"Oh my! Are you alright, child?"
A woman's voice from somewhere nearby caused the young god-child to jump. Turning, she was met with the figure of a lithe woman in her early thirties, hair a rich lavender, cascading down her shoulders in tantalizing ringlets that bounced in the wind, framing a pretty, heart-shaped face from which a pair of dazzling blueish-grey years gazed out with concern.
"Where...where am I?" the god-child whispered questionably, brows furrowed as she struggled fruitlessly to drag the answers from her mind. She recieved none...
"This is Emerald Cove, honey...are you lost? I-oh! " the woman jumped, realising the young girl was naked as a babe in the sand, her long, magenta pink hair only just covering her shoulders and chest. Wasting no time, the lavender haired woman removed her long dress coat and draped it over her.
The soft blue fabrics hung like a tent on her tiny frame, swamping her like some strange blue monster of the deep.
"I-I don't know..I don't know anything anymore...I remember nothing from before I awakened.." the god-child whispered softly, hugging the coat around her body in the feeble hope it would offer some comfort to her bewildered soul. The elder woman sighed gently and crouched down low, seeing her eye to eye.
"You don't remember a thing?"
"No...nothing. all I know.. all I've EVER known is waking up on the shore.." the god-child felt cold and alone. Nothing made sense... had she just dropped into existence only seconds before? Everything was so blurry...so surreal..
"What's your name, dear? I'll help you find your parents.." the lavender haired woman said gently, seeing the ghosts of tears form in the young girl's haunting green eyes. she gasped inwardly as her eyes fell upon those two saprkling emeralds.. so unnaturally green that they could only have been contacts...yet, they held an emptiness behind them, a swirling grey mist of confusion inside a jade void of nothingness.
Ayumi longed to discover the secrets hidden deep behind those piercing green eyes, but she knew better than herself. This girl was obviously lost and alone, her parents probably worried out of their minds..yet, as she continued to watch the young girl as she sat collecting her thoughts in the golden sand, the lavender haired woman could'nt help feel a sense of familiarity about her.
Something told her this child camei nto her life for a reason....she could'nt explain it, but it was there....an unnamed feeling..
"I...I don't know my name...I don't know anything...help me..." the god-child whimpered, the cold becoming too much to bare as she bowed her head low, concealing whimpering tears in the sleeve of the elder woman's dress-coat.
Ayumi felt her heart lurge inside her chest as she watched the young girl cry.. she looked so fragile, like a porcelean doll that cried crystal tears. With a sigh, she pulled the young god-child into her arms in a comforting hug, stroking her deep magenta hair as she whispered soothing words.
"Shhh... don't cry...I'm here to help you.."

Sirens and sounds of mayhem rang out amongst the walls of the Counsill hall as all around, gods, goddesses, demons, nymphs, sirens and all manner of mythological creatures raced about the great marble building, confusion casting a dark cloud overhead as they all struggled to comprehend the atrocity commited...the first of it's kind to be commited in 500 millenia.Within the cordened-off walls of the research facility, a fushia haired goddess lay motionless, eternally still as her face forever kissed the cold, blood-drenched wood floor. Arailani, goddess of the Sun and queen of the Fire Spirits, had been cut down by the cold steel of a kitana.
Never again would she smile the smile that lit up even the darkest rooms...never again would her laughter bring joy to the ears of her devoted followers....never again would she sing a happy song, a lullaby from the stars.
Tanaka felt the knife in his heart twist a little tighter. He'd barely gotten over the death of his beloved Lady Shimagami..but this...this sent him over the edge. Clutching her body close to him, he let a fierce, grief-striken wail escape his throat in a snarl, eyes blazing crimson with a potent mixture of grief and rage. The planet itself seemed to shake with the intensity of his emotions, as though it too cried out in mourning....
From the shadows of the Netherworld, Panodra watched the scene unfold within her crystal sphere, her icy blue eyes narrowed to near slits and blackened lips curled into a fierce snarl. Arailani had seen to it that the god-child be spared, sending her away to protect her whilst the goddess gave her own life to ensure the child' survival. The raven haired Dark Lady had suspected something like this would happen, but still, she felt aggitation.
The raw power from that little blob of life was unlike anything she'd ever known....an intense wave of uphoria that washed through the very darkness of her soul when her fingers touched the crystal...but alas, she had not fully drained the child. Some of its power still lingered and she knew it would only be a matter of time before the god-child came of age.
A meer blip in her plan, she knew, but nothing she could'nt handle. Turning away from the static crystal ball, she strided across the black marbled floors of the imperial throne room and seated herself utop her throne of crimson thorns, the shiny red appendages winding themselves around her legs and ankles, tickling her in affection.
"Hmmm....the plot thickens....the god-child has escaped to Planet Earth and I am forever bond by divine law never to set food upon it's lush greenery..." she thought, practically spitting the last words. With a click of her fingers, she summoned one of her Kurai servants. A dark figure appeared before the throne, bowing low in the presence of the Netherworld's dark queen.
"I am honoured to ssssserve you, Misssstressss.." the Kurai hissed, a forked red tongue flickering wildly behind a mouth full of long, needle-sharp teeth as it bowed down on one knee, a spindly clawed hand over a heart as black as coal.
"Rally the troops, Abunai...the siege is about to commence." Pandora smirked as she spoke, her devious mind already visualising the carnage that was to ensure the unleashing of her undead warriors upon the Divine Counsill. She knew the gods would be ready for an ambush, ready to avenge the death of Lady Arailani and to defend their proud honour...
Fools... Pandora thought with relish; ...They will never suspect the use of the Dubya Elixer! That thought made her chuckle, her lace-covered hands moving to rub together with antisapation as she awaited Cerberus' return. It would'nt belong now before the Elixer was located, the great devil dog's three noses honing in on the foul stench of corruption like a beacon.
Her mouth watered at the thought of all that power.. the Elixir would drain all but the tiniest shred of life from the immortals, bringing them within an inch of death as immortality became all but a fleeting dream. To think, a tiny vial of translucent yellow goo had enough power to bring about the fall of the gods...was it any wonder it had been sealed away to all but those who knew how to find it?
Cerberus knew. How could he not, him being the the king of the Undead Beasts? The sworn guardian to the gates of the Netherworld..?
"Leave us." came a rattling, raspy voice from the enterence to the great marble throne room. The booming thud of dark paws reverberated through the floor, signalling the devil dog's return. Abunai, being the mindless puppet he was, obeyed and bowed low to the Dark Beast King.
"I live only to ssserve in the darknesss."he hissed low, before taking his leave in a cloud of red smoke.
Hulking into the throne room, his huge, Rottweiler paws pounding powerully against the smooth black marble, Cerberus bowed low to his queen, his middle head depositing a small glass vial of elixer at her feet.
"I have obtained that of which you seek, mistress....but I must beg the question....why must you resort to such drastic-"
"You ask too much of me, Cerberus." Pandora said in a bored tone of voice, rising from her thorny throne as the spiked vines shredded her powerful legs to ribbons.
Still, she ignored the pain and joined her henchman's side, running her long fingers through the silky black locks of the third head. To her left, an amber-eyed second head panted eagerly, forked tongue flicking globs of saliva in over-entusiasm.
To her right, the third head snoozed eternally, the occasional bubble of viscous fluid popping from one large nostril.
"Be patient, my love...the dark hour will soon be at hand."
"My liege, may I at least enquire about the god-child?"
A snort escaped the raven haired Dark Lady's nose.
"She has fallen from the land of the stars into a hell of lush green. You need not worry. Let Taigoshin deal with her."
