Fan Fiction ❯ Catalyst ❯ A Day. Like Any Other ( Chapter 1 )
AN: I kinda own these characters. Of course then again I kinda don't because they're based off people I know - in fact they ARE people I know. Yay…

`Cold. It's cold. Do you feel it? I do… Hold me… please… I'm so cold…'

The day was cold; the night was going to be too. Ana shuffled through the snow past all the upperclassmen and some of the same grade, freshmen, too. Hoping to catch her every-so-often glimpse of Kyle as she walked past everyone. He wasn't walking to his bus; she glanced to the window where he usually sat. Not there. Missed him, damn.
There was one thing to go home to, every day that, was Lucas. Yes. Lucas. Of course no one else seemed to care about Lucas, only about her. The only place where she felt love. Yes. Ignore everything else and say later to Jerry when you get off the bus. But you're really going home to talk to Mirz, Darren and to tease JM. Yes. Like any other typical day.
Ana lifted her eyes, staring at her jaded reflection in the bus mirror. `Why am I like this? What point do I have? This is so stupid. Why do I have to be here? Why can't I be with Cassie, or Tim, or Jessi, or Heather… or Lucas? So stupid. This is stupid, something real exciting needs to happen or I'm going to freak out… Hah. Exciting. That's a good one Ana, lets make the day exciting by talking to yourself! You do it all the time! Why don't you just verbally answer yourself so everyone can dub you insane and the men in white coats can come to get you all ready? Cause I need to talk to Lucas… we're fighting again - I think… He's probably so mad at me… Lu-Chan…'
Yes, off the bus now. "Later Jerry. See ya tomorrow," came her muttered reply. And as always.
"Later, later, later, later…" to everyone. Wow. At least *he's* nice… Unlike everyone else.
As she walked to her house, rather apartment - should it be referred to as `home'? - She stopped to get the mail. Bills, bills, junk, bills. `Stupid mailman…'
"Roses are red, violets are black. Why is your chest as flat as your back?" Ana stifled a chuckle as she looked to Bobby - or was his name Robby? Oh hell! Whatever!
`Lamar. Laughing. Dumbass, I wish he'd fall into hell. Hah! That'd be nice…'
"Hey! You! He was talking about you!"
"Whatever!"
`Jennifer. Sure, she smokes. Whatever… she's nice. She sticks up for me… why? Am I considered her `friend' or am I just weak?'
"Shut up Lamar!"
"He was talking about you too."
`Dumbass, fuck off…'
"I've got some. You just can't see them. I can look down my shirt and see two small… uh… considerably nice… er… lumps," Ana laughed. Sure. So she was small. She didn't care. They were hand sized - for her at least… God knows what it'd be like with a guy's hand.
Ana took the cement stairs down. She usually got the mail and took the rubble drive way to the `parking lot' it was like their own personal little road, since the office was right across the street.
Getting to her door, which was past the hill - where the snow was melting - and over the `street'. She took out her key and unlocked the door, moving inward and throwing her stuff down in it's usual spot, and taking off her jacket and moving to the computer… like always. Stopping at the bathroom first, of course.
Ana brushed her fingers through the thin strands of thick brown hair. Staring at herself in the mirror. "I'm beautiful… I guess. But why, why must I be who I am?"
Why do you question who you are? Don't you like being that, who you are? I thought you wanted to be… Original?
`Yes. But…'
"I'm talking to myself again…" she sighed, shaking her head and draping her school jacket on the chair she sat on, smiling slightly at the red and grey jacket. Her name printed in grey lettering with 06 after it. Thusly she moved to the refrigerator.
Staring vaguely for a second over the contents she growled. "We don't have *anything* to eat! Nyao!!! Time to pull out a can of god." She chuckled at herself and rolled her eyes, grabbing a vanilla coke. Checking the cabinet where they kept cereal and other miscellaneous items before moving back to the computer with her coke. "Yay! Time for roleplay!"

AN: I know it's boring… I wanted to fall asleep writing it! Anywho… I'm going to put some semi-serious - actually I find it humorous myself… But I'm the screwed up brains behind the operation! - Stuff in next chapter. Little more plot, hah, and then some. I might throw in a lemon or two if I can fit it in. *evil grin* Since I am deprived of being laid, and all.
