Angelina took a step into the room and looked up to see bookshelves lining the room with a desk which had two leather chairs on either side of it, in the middle of the room. She raised an eyebrow, “A library…” she whispered to herself, getting slightly side tracked that it was the wrong room. She took another step into the room looking at the two story height room in amazement. How someone could acquire books to line the bookshelves on the three walls of the room puzzled Angelina. “I wonder how many are fake books…” she said to herself with a slight smile appearing at the corners of her mouth.
“None of them are fake books,” a voice said behind Angelina.
Angelina spun around and jumped slightly when she saw how close Jonathan was standing next to her with a smile. Her hand automatically went up to her chest from surprise, “I'm sorry,” she said looking apologetic, “I was looking for the bathroom and I accidentally got side tracked because of how many books are in the library...”
“It's not a problem,” said Jonathan with another charming smile, “Just don't assume some are fake, because they're all real. I've collected them over the years.” His eyes glittered for a second and Angelina could only guess that he was remembering how he received some of the books.
Angelina smiled sheepishly at him, “Well, again, I'm sorry. Dan might wonder what's taking so long, so I'll just be going then…” and when she tried to exit, Jonathan blocked her way.
“Why don't you stay?” Jonathan asked while he closed the door to the library.
Angelina frowned, “Um… I have to go to the bathroom…” she said reaching for the door handle.
“I don't believe you,” Jonathan said with a tilt of his head as he grabbed Angelina's wrist and he turned her to face him.
Angelina looked up to meet Jonathan's gaze, “What do you think you're doing?” she asked as she tried to pull her arm away from him. “Damn it… He's stronger than I thought he'd be… And he's not loosening his grip,” she thought to herself. When he wouldn't let go or answer her, she decided to try and make an escape by trying to kick him with her right leg. Jonathan caught her leg and when her left leg gave out, Jonathan held her up. Her eyes met his, “What the hell do you think you're doing?” she asked, totally confused as to why he would act this way. Then, she felt it, that stupid pain in her back, and a small noise escaped her from the sudden pain.
Jonathan smiled, and his normal blue eyes blackened, “Dan hasn't told you, has he?” he asked as he slowly lowered Angelina's left leg to the ground so that she stood normally again.
“Wh-what?” Angelina asked still frowning, Jonathan's grip never loosed on her wrist and was starting to hurt. “Let go,” she demanded and tried pulling back again. She mumbled a few things and paused, “Wait, he's not talking about the band, is he?” she thought to herself. “Cause… I already know about that… It's no secret…” she was still gazing at Jonathan for an answer.
“You're right, I'm not talking about the band…” Jonathan said, and then after glancing from her wrist to Angelina's eyes he asked, “Which hurts more? Your wrist or where it is?”
“How'd he know what I was thinking?” Angelina asked herself. “Uh… What do you mean, it?” she asked out loud, totally confused by this whole thing going on with Jonathan. “He's acting really weird…” she thought to herself right before she felt the red hot pain in her back again and tried not to make another noise but a small gasp escaped her.
Jonathan smiled knowingly, “It does hurt more, doesn't it?” he whispered into her ear. “Where is it?” he gazed into Angelina's eyes.
Angelina blinked, “Where's what? What the hell are you talking about?” she asked, her frown growing. “God, he's lucky he's Dan's superior, otherwise I'd curse his ass off for treating me this way…” she thought bitterly to herself, her hear rate went up as the pain increased in that spot in her back. She was starting to breath hard and felt uncomfortable, she swallowed hard and blinked trying to concentrate on something other than the pain she felt. “God… My back hurts… Remember to breathe…” she thought to herself and closed her eyes before taking a deep breath in and let it out in a small sigh.
“Your back huh?” Jonathan asked and he yanked Angelina around and lifted up her shirt to expose the crescent moon on her back with the infinity symbol in the middle. “So… the legend's true then…” he whispered under his breath.
Angelina let out a noise from Jonathan's sudden yanking of her, “Damn it… Fucking bastard!” she thought to herself. “LET GO OF ME!” she screamed as she kicked back at his leg, not caring where she hit as long as it hurt, she aimed high.
Jonathan let out a grunt of pain and let go of Angelina's wrist.
Angelina quickly turned around to leave and she tried to kick at him again but he was gone. “What the-?” she said slightly startled at his disappearance and she glanced around the room and slowly backed up against the only wall in the library. “Where the fuck did he go?” she asked herself and screamed when he appeared in a blink.
“You little…” Jonathan started then did as Angelina had done earlier and closed his eyes and took a deep breathe. “So… Dan hasn't told you…” Jonathan said now looking at Angelina, “So, you want to know why I was able to tell what you were thinking?”
“Um, no, not really,” Angelina said as she tried to take another step back from him but bumped into the wall, “Shit…” she thought to herself.
Jonathan smiled, “Ever wondered how Dan could tell what you wanted at times and you never told him?” he leaned in closer, “For instance when you're in bed together,” a sick smile appeared on his face as he spoke those words.
Angelina narrowed her eyes at Jonathan, “Pervert,” she thought and shrugged slightly, “He just knows… We have this sort of connection…” she offered with a shrug.
Jonathan raised an eyebrow, “That usually doesn't happen unless a couple is bound together…”
“What like marriage?” Angelina asked with a frown, “This guy is a total nut…” she thought to herself.
“So you really are his Beloved…” Jonathan said as he shook his head in disbelief, “How the hell does such a young one get the Eternal Goddess to be his Beloved and not me?” he asked, his voice raising from rage and he punched the wall, leaving an indentation on the wall.
Angelina jumped and ducked Jonathan's punch and shouted, “What the fuck do you think you're doing??? What the-? Eternal goddess? “ she looked utterly confused. “I asked this before and I'll ask it again, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!” she screamed, ignoring the pain in her back, her pulse still quickening.
Jonathan flinched from Angelina's scream, “You have quite a pair of lungs on you m'dear…” and he held Angelina against the wall, both her wrists held back against it. “If he hasn't turned you than I will,” Jonathan said and his incisors grew.
Angelina's eyes widened “Dude… What the-?” her shoulders went up from begin uncomfortable and when she saw those fangs, she also felt a sudden need to protect her neck. “Oh my fucking god… No fucking way…” was all she could think. She wanted to scream so badly, but couldn't, the fear froze her.
Jonathan tilted his head, “Hmm… I suppose the neck is a typical place for a bite,” he looked at Angelina for a moment then felt her pulse in her right wrist. He moved his hand up from her wrist to keep her hand against the wall and he looked at the veins in her wrist. He let out a soft sigh, “I suppose this will have to do…” he said as he kept her wrist in place as she struggled to try and break free and leaned in sinking his teeth into her wrist.
Angelina screamed, mainly from shock and struggled even more to try and break free. The fangs didn't hurt too much, it was more the feeling of the blood being drained from her body that worried her. “Oh God… How the hell am I going to get out of this one…? What if I die from this?!! I won't be able to say goodbye to Dan… DAN!” she thought feeling as if she was about to pass out. “DAN!” she screamed out, trying with all her strength to stay awake, but her strength was quickly fading as her blood left her body.
