Home at Last! The Training Continues!

"We're almost there Hiryu," Mishi's mom said. She was breathing hard. Hiryu was skipping ahead of her as though the two day hike were nothing. "How do you have so much energy?" Mishi's mom asked irritably. "Don't know, don't care, but I do!" Hiryu chirped.

"MOM! I'M HOME!" Hiryu yelled. "Hiryu? Oh my God! HIRYU! Teian, Hiryu's home!" Renita cried. She ran and picked Hiryu up, hugging him tighter and tighter until he was gasping for air. "Wet me go!" he gasped. Renita put him down reluctantly and eyed Mishi's mom. "And who might you be?" she asked. The two stared each other down, reading the intensity and feroicty in each other's eyes. The will to live, their abilities... "You helped Hiryu here," Renita finally said, "Thank you so much!"

"I made a new friend!" Hiryu said. Renita looked down at him. "Really? Where?" she asked. "Her village, her name is Mishi and she's pretty. When we first met this gold thingy surrounded us!" Hiryu said. Mishi's mom made symbols with her hands and showed them to Renita, who gasped. "What's wrong?" Hiryu asked. "N-nothing dear, go see your father and brother while I talk with this lady," Renita said. Hiryu ran off and the two women were left in the room. Renita offered Mishi's mom a seat. She gladly accepted after the long hike. Renita grabbed two glasses and filled them with water from a spell.

"So you know magic," Mishi's mom said, interested. "Yes, I'm a special agent for the Chifuka," Renita explained, "Where do you come from?" "I'm from Sho-Yosei Village. It's an elf village, committed to magic." Mishi's mom said. "Interesting," Renita said. The two women stared each other down again for a few minutes

"What was that about Suki Bond?" Renita asked, shattering the dead silence that had filled the room. "Hiryu told me about it, I'm almost positive that it was a Suki Bond, those two are connected forever," Mishi's mom said. Renita pondered on this for a moment. "A Suki Bond must be good, but those two will barely see each other, the bond won't be able to strengthen," Renita said. "Don't worry about that, I've already started making preperations," Mishi's mom said. "Oh?" Renita asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yes, when's Hiryu's birthday?" Mishi's mom asked. "January 27," Renita said. "Perfect, he'll get the best present ever," Mishi's mom said.

"Hiryu," Biru said, "Are you ready to continue your training?" "Yeah! Lets do it!" Hiryu cried. He ran around the dojo. Biru sighed and took an Aspirin. 'The things I do,' he thought. Hiryu came to stop in front of him and looked up into his tired face. "We'll review what we did last time, and then if we have time we'll start you on some Water Spells," Biru said. He walked over to a candle, it was set on a stand about a foot lower than Hiryu's head. "We'll start warming up by flowing your ki, no meditation tonight," Biru said. He lit the candle and motioned for Hiryu to stand in front of it. Hiryu did so and stepped into a fighting stance. "Now," Biru said, "punch at the flame, concentrate totally and completely on the flame, concentrate on putting it out with your energy. Don't actually touch the flame though, if you're having trouble then snap your arm back as soon as you reach the striking point. That will create a sort of whirlwind of ki.

Hiryu looked at the flame, he concentrated harder and harder until he was cross-eyed, completely focused on the flame. The world around him didn't seem to exist. Biru watched him with great interest, he was intrigued by the focus the young boy contained.

"HYAH!" Hiryu yelled suddenly. Biru jumped in surprise. Hiryu's fist shot out quicker than Biru's eyes could see. Hiryu snapped his fist back a few inches from the flame and a bright gold swirl appeared around it. The swirl spun around the flame for a few seconds before the flame and swirl disappeared. The room was filled with a nearly unbreakable silence. "G-good job Hiryu. That was pretty good for your first try," Biru said. He walked over to Hiryu stifly and lit the candle again.

"Now," Biru said, "Try putting out the flame with a Flame Spell." Hiryu did so, but nothing happened to the flame. "Why didn't it work?" Hiryu asked. "Because fire is not weak against itself. Fire is weak against water and earth," Biru said, "It's actually quite easy to understand what all of the elements are weak and strong against. Water puts out fire, so does earth, that's why fire is weak against it," Biru said. After a few moments Hiryu's face lit up. "I think I get it! Like Earth spells would be strong against fire and wind, but weak against water and grass, right?" "Exactly, I'm glad I won't have to explain that to you," Biru said, "Now lets get going with some water spells..."

"H-home, at, last," Hiryu said. He was standing in front of his house, covered with bruises and using his bo staff as a walking stick. "Ouchies, that was a tough wesson," he said. He went to open the door but fell down and immediatly went to sleep.

"Hiryu, Hiryu, HIRYU!" Kris screamed. "Huh?" Hiryu opened his eyes found himself looking at a huge spider. "AH!" He yelped and and jumped up. "What do you want?" Hiryu asked the spider. "Hiryu," Kris said, "The spider didn't say your name." Hiryu turned around and found Kris, he was carrying a bag with his sparring gear in it. "Wanna go spar?" he asked. "NO WAY!" Hiryu yelled with such force that Kris was knocked down. "Eh, okay, okay, if you're scared of losing then ok," Kris said. He stood up and dusted himself off. "SHUT UP! You know I could beat YOU!" Hiryu yelled. Kris was knocked down again. "Stop that!" Kris said. He stood up. "NO!" Hiryu yelled. Kris fell down. "STOP IT!" Kris yelled. He kicked up and punched at Hiryu, who weakly blocked the attack. "Go away, I'm not fewing good!" Hiryu said. Kris punched again, hitting Hiryu in the face. Hiryu growled and raised his arms above his head.

"Burning inferno in which we live, aid me now, BURNING STRIKE!" he yelled. His fist ignited in flames and he hit Kris in the soloarplexes. Kris doubled over and gasped for air. "NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!" Hiryu yelled. He stomped his foot and went inside.

"Hi mommy! Did Hiryu get home okay?" Mishi asked. "Yes dear," her mom said. "Good, I was worried about him," Mishi said. "You act so grown up sometimes," her mom said. "Guess what! Tsukai said that I'm doing really good and that pretty soon I'll be able to start learning higher level spells and then I can go and save little bunnies and deers and stuff and he, he!" Mishi started laughing. "And sometimes you don't," her mom said with a sigh.

"Tsukai, when do you think Mishi's training will be complete?" Mishi's mom asked. The two woman were facing each other. Tsukai looked tired and the deep wrinkles in her face stood out more than usual. "Probably by the beginning of January, I may not even last that long though. When Mishi is done training under me she must seek out someone to continue her training. I can see her as a carrier of Holy Spells," Tsukai said. Mishi's mom smiled slightly, "Who will she have to seek out?" she asked. "She'll have to find that person for herself," Tsukai said. Mishi's mother nodded and left.

"Mishi, I'm raising your training hours a day to ten hours. You'll now have ten hours of studying magic, eight hours of sleep, and six hours of school work on weekdays. On weekends you'll have ten hours of studying magic, two hours for homework, nine for sleep, and the rest will be free time," Mishi's mom said when she arrived home. Mishi, upon hearing this, dropped her doll and looked at her mother in shock. Her right eye started twitching. "What? I'm not going to have any free time?" Mishi asked. "Not much, but only for five months," Mishi's mom said. "And will all that magic training pay off?" Mishi asked. "You can never be sure," her mom said. "But," Mishi started. "End of discussion," her mother said. She turned and strode off, leaving Mishi and her eye, which was still twitching...

"YOU KNOW THAT I'M A BETTER GRAPPLER THAN YOU!" Hiryu yelled at Kris. Hiryu, Kris, and Andirei had gone to the park to play and Kris had made some snide remarks as usualy. "OH! IN YOUR DREAMS! YOUR HOLDS ARE SO WEAK!" Kris yelld. "AT LEAST I GET HOLDS!" Hiryu yelled. Andirei was rolling on the floor, laughing. "ANDIREI! THIS IS SUPER SEWIOUS!" Hiryu yelled. "WHY DON'T YOU LEARN TO TALK?" Kris yelled at Hiryu. Hiryu turned to face him and in a swift motion threw him to the edge of the sandbox. "You're, a, better grappler, by far," Andirei said through giggles. "Thank you," Hiryu said. He crossed his arms in front of his chest and watched Kris walk up to him.

"You know," Kris said, raising a finger, "that I could beat you in a free-for-all sparring match ANY day!" "I challenge you," Hiryu said, "Two weeks from now. I challenge you to a free-for-all sparring match." "NO, I challenge you," Kris said. "You can't do that Kris," Andiriei said, "Hiryu already challenged you." "Wha-" Kris stared. He was met with two evil glares. "Fine, fine," Kris said, "I accept your challenge." "Two weeks from now," Hiryu said. The two shook hands and went their seperate ways, leaving Andirei in a fit of laughter.

"HO! HYA!" Hiryu yelled. He was preparing for his sparring match with Kris. He kicked so quickly that his leg was only a blur. He was perfecting his attacks. The Wing Flap Kick and Running Wall Kick among others. He'd been training nearly non-stop for two days. "Hiryu, dear," Renita said as she entered the room Hiryu was training in. "What?" Hiryu asked, not stopping his attack. "Why don't you take a break," Renita said. "NO!" Hiryu said. Renita sighed and left the room. 'I have a way to get him to stop training,' Renita thought evily.

A man was sitting in a hard chair. His many layers of black and gray clothing rested on the ground, creating a wave-like image. "And then," he said, his voice seeming to turn the air in front of him to ice. The paper he was writing on contained many symbols and formulas. Years of research sat in front of him on one paper. "It was so simple," the man said, "I can't believe it took me this long to find the formula..."

"What are you doing?" a feminine voice asked. It seemd to lick the man's face. "Ah, Kirei," the man said. "All you do these days is sit around in your lab," Kirei complained, "Why can't we go shopping? I wanna see some doggies." The man sighed and stood up. He faced Kirei. She was as tall as Renita. Her silky hair was a platinum blonde and she had it up in two small buns on the top of her head, locks of it running down to her calfs. She was anirexant, though it was hard to tell. She had enchanting pink eyes that had a red glare to them.

"You can be such a burondo sometimes," the man said. "Like, shut yo' mouth!" Kirei said. "Please be quiet, I was just about finished with my calculations," the man said. "TAKE ME TO THE MALL!" Kirei yelled, "I NEED A MANICURE!" The man raised an eyebrow and walked off towards the exit, his clothes flowing around him. Kirei gave a small cheer and skipped along behind him. 'How did I get stuck with her?' the man asked himself.

"STAY WHERE YOU ARE!" a loud voice yelled. "Wha-" the man said. "Chifuka," Kirei hissed. "Are you sure?" the man asked. "Yes, trust me Nioiga," Kirei said. She turned around and looked towards the roof. "Grav-loss!" she yelled. Nioiga was about to hold onto her, but he remembered his papers. "I've got to get my papers!" he cried. "NO! We have to go now!" Kirei pleaded. "Those papers are everything to us!" Nioiga said sternly. He turned and hurried back to his chair.

He clutched his papers and started back towards Kiriei, but several figures appeared around him. "It seems the Chifuka have learnt some new tricks from our last meeting," Nioiga said. He sneered and dropped to one knee, slamming his fist into the ground. "FLAME WALL!" he yelled. There was less than a second of sparks flying before a wall of fire slowly moved out from all around his body. The Chifuta agents all created barriers, but the strength of the attack was overwhelming and the fire engulfed the agents.

Nioiga smiled and began walking back toward Kirei. "Foolish mortals," he said. "What are you talking about?" a strong voice asked. Nioiga stopped dead in his stride and looked around. A gust of wind blew around the room and Nioiga's garments created a small rustling. "Who are you?" Nioiga asked. He looked around the room once more and started walking. A sharp pain suddenly ran down his spine. He sneered and turned his head to the side to see the agent from the previous week standing behind him. Her brown curly hair was gently blowing in an invisible wind. "You're a foolish mortal too," she said. Nioiga sighed. "You're more foolish than I," he said, and flipped her over his head onto the ground. She flipped up and spun around with her strong leg outstretched, tripping Nioiga. "KIREI!" he yelled. Kirei appeared in front of him. "Take her," he said.

The two women faced each other and stepped into fighting stances...
