Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Here's the 411 on our situation:

Mitsukai and Amy are stuck in Mit's Dojo with a giant scary monster that's leering evilly at them. Okay? Okay.

Here's the chapter, and, Steve, I'm sorry! Damn you and the emotions you cause! You're, like, the only one that can get me to apologize. It angers me. But I'm over it now! :D

So, read up! This chapter is for Steve, though, it isn't an apologetic one. I'm just typing it up to make it up to Steve…

Mitsukai stood up, quickly dashing to the wall for one of the many swords.

"Stay down," he yelled back at her as he charged the monster head-on.

Amy sat there, too shocked and scared to move or comprehend what was going on around her. She sat watching as Mitsukai slashed at the various tentacles, slowly making his way toward the body of the beast.

He brought the large sword down on what she assumed what the creature's head, spewing the practice field and everything in it with pitch black, sticky blood.

Mitsukai soon landed beside her, grabbing her hand and pulling her to a standing position. "Are you alright," he asked cautiously. He studied her face, making sure she was unharmed. Other than being covered in the monster's thick blood and all the blood being drained out of her face to make her ghostly white, she was perfectly fine.

He let go of her hand to make sure the monster was dead, but quickly reconsidered when her knees gave out and she fell to her knees. He walked back to her side, helping her inside, giving one last glance behind him at the creature before continuing inside.

Amy sat in one of the chairs, trembling, staring straight forward, not seeing what was in front of her.

Mitsukai went into the kitchen, coming back a moment later with a glass of water that he handed to her.

"Are you alright, now," he asked as he crouched on the floor in front of her.

She shook her head then looked at her, fear evident in her eyes. "What was that thing," she croaked out.

Mitsukai slowly shook his head as Amy took a sip of water, wetting down her dried throat. "Go take a shower, Amy. I'll try to explain as much as I can when you come out," he said, leading her down the hallway and to the bathroom.

About half an hour later, Amy walked into the kitchen, finding Mitsukai at the small island bar in the center. He was looking down at a large sheet of parchment that looked like an antique.

When the door closed, his head jerked up to look at her, rolling up the scroll of paper and setting it to the side. She walked over and sat across from him, watching him closely as he stood and got them both cups of water.

"So, you wish to know what the creature was," he started off.

Amy brought her cup to her lips, nodding with her nose in the glass.

"Very well," he stated, taking off his sunglasses and setting them to the side. "What would you like to know about it first?"

Amy placed her glass down, looking into Mitsukai's metallic silver eyes. "What was it," she said softly.

Mitsukai seemed to tense at the question, but nodded as he said, "it is, or was, a creature of hell - a demon, if you will."

Amy glanced at him, expecting more but asked another question when she realized he was only going to give direct answers, not elaborate. "Why was it here?"

He sighed, hoping she wouldn't ask. "It was after something that I currently hold in my possession."

She was getting a little frustrated now. "What's the item and what does it do?!"

"She," he said, leaning back in his seat, "is you. And I'm afraid that I can't tell you what you are wanted for."

"What I was wanted for," she corrected.

Mitsukai gave a short laugh. "Oh, yes," he said, "what you were wanted for by that demonic creature."

"That one," she asked suspiciously. "As in, there are….more," she squeaked out.

He leaned forward, placing his elbows on the counter, putting his fingertips together and glaring at her from behind his hands. "Do you wish to know all that I can tell you," he asked softly.

"Of course I do," she practically yelled. "Don't you think that I have a right to know?!"

Mitsukai made no move to stop her screaming fit, but simply said, "yes, I do. So, here is all that I am allowed to tell you." Amy glanced at him curiously, thinking, `what does he mean, allowed to tell me?' "I am a defender for a destined one - you. I have been searching for you for decades. Once I found you, my orders were clear. I was to protect you at any cost, even if that meant sacrificing my own life to save yours."

She looked at him, clearly astonished. "But I'm only 24! How could you be searching for decades?!"

"Simple," he replied, "I was ordered on this search long before you were even born."

"Then, what did you mean earlier when you said, `looks can be deceiving'?"

"I am afraid that I cannot tell you that as of yet."

"Why have you been searching for me?"

"Again, I cannot tell you as of yet," he replied reluctantly. "I do not wish to keep you in the dark, but my orders inform me that it is necessary."

Amy glared daggers at him for that. "Then, whom, might I ask, is giving you these orders?"

Mitsukai simply shook his head and stood. "You will learn that soon enough, dove. But right now," he pulled the curtains away from the window, revealing the sky to be darkening as the sun set, "I wish to bath. This blood is not the most merciful of the demons still to come. You may stay here tonight if you wish, but if I were you, it would not be wise to leave this house without me. The demons are still after you."

She huffed, but made no sign of protest.

Walking out the door, leaving Amy in the kitchen, Mitsukai began grumbling something about `stupid tar-blood' and `wish I could just kill them all'.

After she could hear the water in the bathroom turn on, Amy made a quick swipe for the scroll that Mitsukai was looking at earlier. She unrolled it, quickly skimming over the contents.

She gasped, and then thought aloud, "this scroll is entirely about me."

She read over it again. `…find her…protect…world is endangered…do not tell her…kill all attacking demons…My god, he should have just told me…I'm destined to stop all demons from destroyed our world…this is a mind-blower…' She smirked, `…wait `til brother hears about this one…'

Okay, I updated. At least the story line is finally getting on. It was sitting there, doing nothing for two chapters and a prologue!

I wish that everyone would just admit that this story sucks and no one really wants to read it! I bet all of your friends blackmailed you into reading this just to torture you! You all need to just say it! I'm not sensitive! Tell it to me straight; I'm a terrible author!

Happy Haunting,

Chisai Oni
