"Mitsukai," Amy whispered tenderly into the dark room.
The moon shone brightly through the window, but didn't supply sufficient light to see anything in the room except shadowy forms. She looked around once more, stepping into the room and waiting for a reply on baited breath.
"Mitsukai, are you awake," she tried again.
This time the form lying on the ground stirred and turned over. Suddenly the eerie silver of Mitsukai's eyes lit up, focusing on her, unmoving.
"I am now," she heard his deep voice rumble quietly through the room. He sat up, propping himself up on an elbow. "Did you need something," he asked with a yawn.
Amy moved quickly to the side of his futon, kneeling in front of him to get to eye-level. "It's Senpai; he's just sitting in my room while I sleep, and it's really unnerving," she whispered hurriedly.
Mitsukai growled but didn't move. "What would you have me do about it," he asked softly, never taking his gaze from her eyes.
"I-I don't know, but," she hesitated a moment, looking back at the door before turning to face him once more, "but I was wondering if I could stay in here tonight?"
For an instant he didn't move, but nodded sharply and scooted backward to allow her space to crawl onto the futon. She hurriedly scurried under the covers, turning around and relaxing as Mitsukai settled in behind her. He rested his chin on the crown of her head and wrapped his arms around her waist, spreading his wing over both of them under the blankets.
Amy sighed in contentment and whispered, "thank you, Mitsukai."
He nuzzled his face into her neck before returning his chin to the top of her head and whispering back, "anytime, dove, anytime."
In a few moments they both fell into a deep, dreamless slumber.
"What a lovely couple," Senpai suddenly whispered from the corner, jolting Mitsukai from his sleep while Amy slept on.
Mitsukai sat up, glaring in the direction of Senpai, but couldn't pinpoint him. (A/N: Woah! I've not used one of these in a while! ^^ Oh, right, anyways, I just wanted to remind you that Mitsukai is blind… so, he can't see Senpai, okay? Okay… just wanted to make sure you knew that…)
"Get out, Senpai," he hissed menacingly.
There was a rustle of clothing as Senpai stood up and walked over to the side of the bed. Mitsukai could feel his hot breath on his face for a moment before something hit his head, knocking him to his side and off the end of the futon. He heard Amy stir and gasp.
Groggily, Mitsukai propped himself up on his elbow, head bent low, blood streaming over his eyes, mind fogged and swirling from the blow to his head. He saw Amy's form quickly rush over, but couldn't comprehend anything she was saying. She grabbed his shoulders to steady him, looking directly into his eyes. He swayed a moment in her arms then fell limp.
"Mitsukai," she yelled, trying to rouse him, "Mitsukai, wake up! Please, wake up!"
Tears began to stream down her face as Senpai made his way over to her. He crouched down, grabbing Mitsukai by the shoulder and picking him off the ground. (A/N: I know, I know… I'm using a lot of these lately, but remember Mitsukai may be muscular *drool…* …but he's still not huge… And Senpai is strong… I mean he must be, right? He works for Ragnarok! ^^ Anyways, just wanted to make sure you knew that Senpai wouldn't have much trouble picking Mitsukai up off the ground… or what he's about to do… *snicker* Being evil to your own characters is fun…) With a disappointed sigh, Senpai quickly drew back his arm and tossed Mitsukai into the door that led to the basement library. The door quickly splintered under the force and his weight, sending him sprawling down the stairs.
"Guess he's not going to," Senpai said with slight amusement coloring his voice, "at least…not now."
"Shut up," Amy yelled, running as quickly down the stairs as she could with out falling. "Just shut up!"
When she reached the library, she hastily ran over to Mitsukai's lifeless body. He was curled halfway into a ball, lying on his side; his breaths came ragged and labored; blood poured from the cut on his head and various wounds all over his body. She quickly turned him onto his back, finding his right arm to fall at an unnatural position and several of his feathers began falling out. She lifted his right arm and felt around. His forearm was broken in at least three different places. Amy gently lay his arm back down beside him and moved to look at his injured wing. Lifting it up, she found the main bone that ran along the top of the wing to be broken from base to tip, completely shattered and possibly destroyed for good. (A/N: I told you it's fun to be evil to your own characters! ^^)
Senpai lazily sauntered into the room, a wide grin plastered across his face, a slight bounce in his step. Once he reached the couple, he let out a short chuckle as he gave a swift kick to Mitsukai's rib cage, sending him rolling across the floor and into a book case, covering him in an avalanche of thick, heavy books.
"Stop it; you're killing him," Amy screamed out, running over to him once more and beginning to dig through the large pile of books. "Please, be alive, Mitsukai. Please still be alive…"
Mitsukai's hand suddenly shot upward through the books, clawing and scraping his way upward. Amy grabbed onto his arm and began to tug as hard as she could. Eventually, he was unburied and lying back on his side to prevent injuring his arm or wing further. (A/N: you didn't think I would kill him yet, now did you?! Ha! Ha! Ha!)
"Bravo," Senpai laughed from the center of the room, clapping his hands. "You'll have to teach me how to survive such abuse," he continued, making his way slowly toward them. "Master Ragnarok told me of your endurance, but I didn't believe it was this grand," he laughed again, stopping not a few feet from them. "Ready yourself, Hotogoroshi…"
With that, he quickly leapt to Mitsukai's other side, crouching to the ground and sending his left leg forth to give a quick and painful jab to his chest, sending him sprawling to the other side of the library again. Amy scrambled backward into the book shelf as she watched Mitsukai try to at least sit up and Senpai begin to charge him again.
He managed the sitting position just as Senpai was upon him, giving another swift blow, but this time to the side of his head again.
Amy cried out as Mitsukai lay there motionless and possibly bleeding to death and Senpai stood there laughing like a madman.

You know, you guys scare me on the review boards sometimes… *cringe* Anyways, I know this took a long time, but here it is! And I tried to make it longer, but I couldn't think of how to end this scene… That's about all the abuse Senpai will dish out for now… Remember, he's mainly there as a spy…
Happy Haunting,
Chisai Oni
