Fan Fiction ❯ Hybrid Genesis -God Legacy Saga- ❯ Grudges ( Chapter 9 )
Grudges
Busy day for me? Busy day for me. Tired? Yes, I am. Going to cry? ... Maybe...
This is a confusing chapter. I am confused. I don't understand it, but maybe you can. Hopefully my temporary muse can get things back on track, or at least try to explain to me what the hell is going on in this chapter.
------------------
Chaos: I sent my muses away. They were really annoying me after... A few minutes.
Dorothy: That's okay, we missed being here.
Yumy: *snickers* Yes, of course...

Seks opened his eyes. The sun was shining brightly down on him, burning his eyes. He winced and covered his eyes with his hands. He felt strangely warm, and not from the sun. He squinted as he looked around himself. He wasn't where he figured he'd be. The last thing he remembered was pulling himself onto the small island and passing out on the red carpet.
The carpet beneath him was softer and a dark navy. He ran his fingers over it lazily, smiling as it seemed to massage the palms of his hands. He wiggled his tail and wings, feeling the softness seem to shape around him and keep him comfortable. Two boots appeared in front of his face, and he looked up. Looming over him was a huge dark shadow.
He was immediately on guard, leaping to his feet and crouching in a defensive posture. His ears flattened against his head and he hissed threateningly. The figure laughed and held up his hands in a passive gesture. "It's okay, I'm a friend."
Seks hissed again, louder this time. Angry blood rushed through his veins and he felt like leaping forward and tearing this persons' throat out. Something felt extremely off, and he didn't like it. The person stepped forward, and on instinct, Seks stepped backwards. This animalistic behavior was like a second nature to the hybrid. He felt just as comfortable being like this as well as when he was an obedient slave.
"Who are you?" Seks asked in a deep and threatening voice.
"I'm the person who saved you." the man said with a friendly smile.
"I don't like you." Seks snarled. He seemed like he wasn't aware that that was a rude thing to say.
The man just laughed. "I'm sorry about that. Maybe we'll become friends though if you give me a chance."
"I don't---" Seks started, but the man interrupted him.
"I let you sleep out here, but I don't think it's a good place to be. Why don't you come with me?"
"No!" Seks shouted, swiping his claws at the man. The man was incredibly fast and dodged the angry hybrids' attack. "Stay away...!"
The man didn't seem very happy now. He seemed irritated, but still slightly amused. "It's okay now. Come on."
He walked forward again, the sparkling white mask glittering in the sunlight. Seks leaped backwards, feeling frightened. He lost his footing and almost fell right into the water. The man grabbed his arm just in time, and pulled him back upright. Seks felt the muscles in his arm protesting against the mans' grip.
Seks acted again on instinct, his other arm attacking. The man lazily leaned back slightly to avoid the claws, and grabbed the arm. Seks struggled to free his arms, amazed that a mere human could manage to restrain him... And so easily too! He yanked on his arms, growling and thrashing like a wild animal.
The stranger seemed very amused now. Seks couldn't free his arms from this amazing strength. "Just come with me hybrid, I'm very interested in you." the man said softly.
Seks' eyes widened. "What did you just call me?!"
The man leaned forward, until their faces were mere inches from each other. "Hybrid..." he whispered with a cruel grin.
Seks found himself staring at the bright blue rose that was over the left eye. It didn't seem like it was painted on. It didn't even seem to be a part of the mask... It was very alluring. The dark hair that floated around the man seemed to come alive, and it wrapped around Seks' legs and arms, wrists and ankles... His waist and neck... Seks felt his eyes start to close, and he fought to keep them open.
All his strength seemed to be drained right out of him and he fought to regain control of his muscles. He wanted to keep fighting to be free, but his body did not listen. He closed his eyes and then hung limply in the mans' grasp. The man smiled and made a sound of approval.
"I believe you would do well with Stixx." he said with a little chuckle. "Both of you are so stubborn..."
//And now...//
Madi opened his eyes sleepily. His arms were tangled in his long dark blonde hair and the sheets were wrapped about his stomach and legs. He sighed sleepily and untangled his arms and legs. He blinked a few times and yawned. It seemed that lately, everything was slow. Slow and boring. He wasn't doing much anymore. It seemed they always said they'd need him later, but not now.
"Never now, right?" he murmured to himself.
A rustle came from the corner and Stixx emerged from the darkness. Madi narrowed his eyes, and Stixx smiled cruelly. "Actually, yes right now. I need your services."
"My services?" Madi asked with a little smile. "The master then becomes the slave?"
"You never were my master." Stixx growled.
"I created you Stixx, don't forget that."
Stixx growled louder, the lights flickering. "Shut up... I need your help right now."
"Now is that any way to talk to your master?" Madi asked sarcastically.
"SHUT UP!" Stixx shouted, slamming his fist into the wall beside him. It crumbled pitifully and pieces of the stones fell to the ground.
"God, you were a mistake..." Madi whispered sadly.
Stixx narrowed his eyes and walked towards Madi. Madi felt fear, but the insane calmness was stronger. He stared into the maroon eyes that were darkening into a deep red as Stixx narrowed his eyes. He smiled wistfully and looked away finally, his heart trying to pound its way out of his chest.
"What do you need me to do?" he asked in a voice barely louder than a whisper. Stixx smiled triumphantly.
//I need you to save me, because I can't save myself//
Dorothy blinked her eyes open. They felt like they had been shut for ages. They took a while to adjust to the darkness around her. She was in a cell. A well built one. She stood up slowly, her head aching. Her mind was scrambled and she couldn't think all that well. She leaned against the wall once she managed to stand. Everything seemed to be spinning.
"Awake... Finally." a voice said.
She looked around for the source of the voice but saw nobody. Then a dark shape materialized at the door of her cell. He was tall and had a powerful aura that made her frightened. He had long dark hair and a white mask over his face. The mask had a strange blue rose over the left eye that seemed to be glowing.
"Who are you?" she demanded, trying her best not to let him see that she was scared to death.
The man chuckled, and stepped forward. "Oh Lady Dorothy, it has been such a long time."
"W-What are you talking about?!" Dorothy almost shouted.
"Do you truly not remember me Dorothy? I am so hurt." the man said, sounding sincerely wounded.
"I am sorry, I do not." Dorothy said as politely as she could manage in her situation.
"Dory-bear I miss you..." the man said in a mocking tone.
Dorothy's eyes widened and she backed away. "No way!" she shook her head fiercely.
The man pretended to pout before smiling viciously. "Oh yes. But it does not matter."
"..." Dorothy remained silent.
"Just think. A game. We're in a game. What are the odds of this? But then again, I never really did like games... And I never did want to play them..."
"Oh you liar." Dorothy whispered. Her voice rose until she almost shouted, "You always liked to play games. With people's minds and hearts...!"
"Dear, lovely Dorothy, you know I'd never do that to you..." the man said, walking towards her.
"Get away from me!" Dorothy hissed.
"Believe me, I would want nothing more than to get away from you. Because of the stupidity and sick twisted humor that this so-called god creates for us... I am forced to be with you... And it is all your fault."
"No! I changed my mind!" Dorothy wailed. "Leave me alone!"
"Oh you loved me, didn't you Dorothy? And then... Then you decide with all your `power', perhaps you could make someone do something they did not want to do. And when you do it, you change your mind! And hurt everyone that you dragged into this in the first place..."
"I didn't know..." Dorothy cried. "I wanted... I wanted..."
"You wanted someone else. Now you do at least. I saw it, I know of it. You're hunting something else that you can't have. And when you force him to do it, will you change your mind again?"
Dorothy huddled in the corner as far away from the man as she could possibly get. "Please..." she begged. "Leave me alone..."
"Oh, don't turn me away now Dorothy." the man cooed. "You know I only have to pretend to love you for a little..."
//... no... I'm... innocent... now...//
A door slammed and keys jingled. The man spat a few times on the ground and wiped his mouth with the back of his gloved hand. "Disgusting."
A young hybrid appeared with his tail curled around his legs. He looked very innocent. He smiled. "Are you ready sir?"
The masked figure sighed and nodded. "Yes..."
"Okay, sir." the young hybrid said, and snapped his fingers.
The man closed his eyes and waited until he heard the hybrid shifting uncomfortably. He opened his eyes and waved a hand. The hybrid scampered off. He walked stiffly down the dark hallway, his cape billowing out behind him. He removed his gloves and tossed them lazily across the desk.
Stixx was sitting comfortably in a chair, his legs up on the desk and his gaze to the ceiling. When the gloves hit his boots, he let his gaze drop to the stranger. "What kept you?" he asked almost sarcastically.
The man sighed and sat down in his chair. Tenris appeared behind him and stood still as if awaiting instructions. The man ignored him and stared right at Stixx. Stixx felt a little uncomfortable, and avoided meeting the fierce gaze. The man stared at Stixx a few more minutes, enjoying the hybrids' unease.
"I had to take care of a little business."
"More important than me?" Stixx teased, still feeling very wary. Something was wrong.
The man smiled. "Is anything more important than you?"
Stixx snarled and let his feet drop to the floor. The chair made a banging noise as it came back on four legs. Stixx met the man's entertained gaze. "What do you want with me? What are you going to fuck me up with now?!"
"A new partner."
Stixx let out an infuriated growl. "No!"
The man looked surprised, but Tenris didn't. "Oh, and why not?"
"Because, at least Tenris is quiet and doesn't bug me."
Tenris smirked. "That is only if I cannot find you, Stixx."
Stixx narrowed his eyes. "What are you trying to do to me, `master'?"
The man threw back his head and laughed. "Stixx... That does not suit you at all. Don't call me that please."
"Who is it?" Stixx managed to say through clenched teeth.
"I think you have already met, though previously on opposite sides." the man said, enjoying Stixx's frustration.
"ENOUGH TEASING, WHO IS IT?!" Stixx roared, leaping onto the desk and sending papers flying everywhere. His fingers grabbed his `masters' shirt collar and lifted him up out of the seat. "TELL ME, NOW!"
The man remained calm. "Of course Stixx. Whatever you say. Bring him in please."
The door to the room opened. A few seconds passed and no one entered the room. Stixx released the man and watched the darkness carefully. He could tell that someone was standing there, but whoever it was, wasn't moving. "Well?" Stixx asked impatiently.
The person walked forward into the dim light. Silver hair glistened over pale striped skin. Golden eyes glittered dangerously as they studied Stixx. A small pink tongue traced over fangs and a black velvet tail flicked back and forth as did matching ears. Huge dragon wings fluttered in the small room. The person, no, hybrid, held out a clawed hand to Stixx.
"Hello... Partner..." a sultry voice said.
