Birth

Croix sighed as he got up and did his daily routine. Woke, showered, got dressed, ate breakfast, moped around. He didn't have a job that day, and he had all the day to himself. Not what he wanted. He pulled on his coat and boots deciding to go for a walk. It was pretty early, only six, so he was pretty sure he wouldn't run into anyone. While he walked, he passed by a Hybrid Shop. He paused slowing slightly. What would it hurt? He opened the door and walked in, a little bell dinging. A tall slim black-haired woman looked up from her book and smiled setting it down. He walked up to the counter and shifted nervously.

"Can I help you?" asked the lady.

"Sure." he replied awkwardly.

"Do you have any specifications for the hybrid you want?"

"No, I was just looking I guess."

The lady beamed, and gestured over towards a row of tubes filled with green-blue liquid. They each had a small ball in them. Each ball was two different colors and had a tag with writing on it, and some of them were a little bigger than the others.

"These balls once taken from the tubes will turn into pods, and then when broken open will reveal the hybrid specified. The two colors represent what breed and what characteristic it is. The bigger ones are males, the smaller ones are females. The tag indicates what color their eyes are, what color their hair is, what skin color, what attitude and so forth." she explained.

"I see."

"For example," she barreled on. "This one here has orange and silver. That's a little odd, but what it means is it's a tiger/human hybrid, and was made solely for pleasure. It's a bigger one which means it is a male. The tag says that it has black hair, green eyes, pale skin -striped of course- and has an exceptionally talented mouth. It also states that this hybrid can't stand water and has a deathly fear of car horns."

She smiled and looked at him, her eyes sparkling. Croix blinked in confusion, and tried to understand. He nodded as if he knew what she was talking about and she moved away saying she'd be there if he needed help or wanted to purchase one. Croix nodded again. She handed him a booklet and left him to look at the countless number of tubes. The booklet was a guide to tell what the colors meant and what characteristics meant. It also specified directions on how to take care of it, and in the back was a list of possible names.

He looked back at the tubes. He picked one after another up and read the descriptions and matched the colors to the booklet. He had enough money to buy three of them if he wanted, but he was sure he wouldn't get one. And if he did he would only get one. He picked up one from the way back and felt his fingers tingle. He looked at the colors. Violet and green. He matched the colors.

Violet Breed: Dragon/Tiger

Type: RARE- Only six were ever created.

Information: Scientists concluded it to be too dangerous and condemned the making of any more though six slipped by. Master Chiave Sleutel of Italy owns five of the six and claims the scientists mistook sending out six and only sent out five. She refuses to sell any of them, hers consisting of four females and one male, all pleasure slaves.

Croix flipped pages with one hand, his other holding the tube tightly.

Green Type: Pleasure/Warrior

Croix closed the booklet and stuffed it in his back pocket though it fell out. He let it stay there while he looked at the writing.

Appearance: Silver hair, golden eyes, pale skin, male, seventeen. Striped skin with alternating black and silver. Tiger tail with fur, fur silky soft and all black. Ears with fur, black velvety, pink inside. Tiger claws on hands (not on feet) and tiger fangs and teeth. Slitted dragon eyes. Ten foot golden/black dragon wings, two. Human body shape, legs, arms, chest, head, other.

Croix felt shivers go through his body. He wasn't sure if it was anticipation or fear. He quickly made his way to the counter, and set it carefully down.

"This one please."

The lady smiled, and took it from him ringing it up and telling him the price. It was seven-thousand dollars. Quite a high price for a hybrid. Croix slid his ID card and his money card through the slot that took the amount of money from it and took the tube before she could look at what it was. She managed to hand him another booklet since she noticed he had dropped his first and he raced out the door, booklet and tube in hand. He ran all the way home and unlocked the door almost falling right through it as he slammed it shut. He slipped out of his shoes and ran into the living room sitting on the floor. He opened the booklet and read the instructions.

As the book said, he first opened the bottle and dumped it on the floor. The liquid splashed his legs and it was very cold. He winced but watched the ball curiously. It cracked and split in two. There in front of him was a pod. It was big and heavy, all black with veins of some sort poking out at strange spots. He put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife. He touched the pod expecting it to be hard, but it wasn't.

In fact, it cracked right there almost exploding. The pod slumped to the floor revealing in all his glory, the new pet. And he was totally naked as well. Croix blushed furiously, pretty sure he needed a cold shower now that his pants felt three sizes too tight. He quickly thought of his next case he would be working on and soon he felt comfortable again.

The hybrid was gorgeous. Anyone would have reacted the same way. He had long silver hair that pooled out beneath him like a blanket and his legs and arms were long and slim but showed signs of great power underneath. His tail was gorgeous and sleek, all black and it twitched. The wings were folded beneath him but were rimmed golden around the bones within them and black between the bones. He had long sharp claws on each of his fingers, and his ears were black and velvety with a soft pink on the inside. His pale skin was lined with black and silver. His chest moved up and down as he breathed, rippling muscle underneath. His stomach was taut and smooth. His skin unmarred.

Without warning, the eyes opened revealing gold and it was slitted down the middle and over the sides. He leapt to his feet and wobbled slightly as if just gaining his balance. His eyes darted around finally landing on Croix. He was very tall, maybe seven feet. Croix gasped in surprise and stepped back, but the creature didn't attack him. Instead, the hybrid went to his knees and bowed his head. Croix stepped forward cautiously and laid his hands on the creatures trembling shoulders.

"My name is Croix, do you have a name?"

The creature didn't speak but shook his head. Silver locks flew back and forth whipping Croix' arms. It felt like pure silk. Croix shuddered and knelt down. Thoughts raced through his mind. He wasn't expecting such a beautiful creature. The creature didn't look up and kept his head bowed in submission.

"You need a name... but first I think you need clothes. Follow me please."

He stood and the hybrid stood up after he did. Croix walked out from the living room and down a hall. The hybrid followed his eyes taking in everything as if calculating and memorizing. Croix went into his bedroom and to the dresser. He looked through his clothes trying to think of what would fit this monstrous creature. He finally pulled out a plain black t-shirt... XXL. He handed it to the hybrid. Then he pulled out some boxers that he hoped would fit his new pet. He then found a pair of jeans he was sure were too big for him. He handed them to his hybrid.

"Put those on."

The creature oblidged. He stared at the shirt in his hands, then carefully brought his claws up and then with a quick slice made two slits for his wings. He pulled the shirt over his head, and folded his wings back as he slid them through the slits. He shook his hair after getting it on and his ears flicked back and forth. The shirt was big enough... barely. The muscles strained against it showing every curve and dip. Croix felt himself growing red and knew he would not get rid of his problem so soon. While his creature finished getting dressed, Croix went over figures for his next case desperate to relieve his problem. It worked.

Croix led his creature out of that room and back into the living room. He sat down on the couch expecting his creature to do the same. The hybrid looked at him then crouched by Croix' legs, and sat there looking up at him. Croix looked confused but didn't ask.

"So do you talk?"

"With permission master." came the reply.

The voice was silky and smooth and sent shivers up Croix' back. The voice was like pure velvet and silk, and was deep and rumbling. Croix knew he wouldn't ever forget it.

"You have permission to speak. Tell me about yourself."

"I live to serve you master. Everything you need I shall do, and everything you want I shall give you master."

Croix shivered, thoughts running through his mind. He never questioned his sexuality before, but he wasn't sure now if he was gay, bisexual, or straight. He had kissed girls, but never had sex or anything too intimate. He always told himself he was saving it for someone special.

"What languages do you speak? What can you do?"

A flicker of a smile appeared on his pets' face. And right there, he listed off a number of languages. English, spanish, japanese, chinese, korean, german, french, dutch, portugese, norwegian, italian... Croix felt his eyes growing bigger.

"I do what you tell me to master. I protect you. I pleasure you. I live to serve you master."

"So... what weapons do you use?"

"Anything you give me permission to use master."

Croix decided this was enough. He still hadn't thought of a name and was pretty sure it would come in handy.

"You need a name. Do you already have one or do I have to give you one?"

"I have one master. I am not allowed to tell you it master, because it is sacred to every hybrid. You must name me, master."

Croix sighed, and picked up the booklet and flipped through it to the names. He listed them off, but none of them seemed to fit. Croix threw the book down in some kind of disgust and stood quickly. His creature looked up at him confused.

"Let's take a walk."

His creature nodded. Croix walked towards the door. He noticed with surprise that his hybrid crawled on hands and knees after him.

"You can stand up and walk."

His hybrid nodded again and stood. Croix pulled on a coat and put on his boots and walked outside. His creature followed. Croix shut the door and it automatically locked, setting the alarm and the laser locks. Croix walked to the sidewalk and started walking absently. His pet followed him. Croix looked up and saw a sign that said Pleasure Toys. He blinked, and walked inside. His pet followed ducking his head to fit throught the door.

Rows upon rows of chains and collars and strange things Croix was sure he didn't want to know what they were. There were whips and paddles and leashes and leather outfits. There were spiky things, god knows what that was, and strange things that looked like they were weapons, not toys. He felt a little embarrased to be in here, but he found a pretty leather collar with amethysts in it. He picked it up and showed it to his pet.

His pet bent down, and Croix put it on him. It looked beautiful. Croix smiled and took it back off, pretty sure he wanted it. His pet pointed to a leather leash that matched the collar, and Croix picked it up. He decided he wouldn't even touch some of the other stuff and just buy the two items. He went to the counter and paid for them. He turned to leave, but the lady behind the counter told him to wait a second.

"Is that a violet type?"

Croix nodded, and the lady got excited. She told him to wait a second, and picked up the phone dialing numbers crazily. Croix waited impatiently, hoping that no one he recognized came in. While he waited he pulled the price laser off his purchased items and put them on his creature. He clipped the leash on, and it melded to the collar. The lady seemed to have gotten through, and started talking animatedly in italian.

"What is she saying?" Croix whispered to his pet.

His creature translated. "I found him, he's beautiful, he's right here. How can you get here fast? I will ask him."

The lady hung up, and turned to Croix. "Can you give me your name, address, and phone number? Someone wants to meet you very badly."

Croix nodded warily, and wrote his name, address, and phone number on a slip of paper she handed him. She clutched it to her chest and thanked him. Croix quickly exited the shop with his pet close behind him. They walked along until Croix found a weapon shop. He looked at his hybrid. His hybrid was flapping his wings excitedly, so Croix went in. Immediately, his creatures ears went up and back and forth as his eyes looked around curiously.

"Pick some stuff, I'll buy it for you. And you don't have to hold back okay?"

His pet nodded, and immediately picked up a sword, fingering the blade. Croix wondered if he was crazy letting this creature have a weapon, but he was sure he couldn't say no to him if he wanted. At last his creature picked three items out. A thin, long bladed sword with amethysts in the golden hilt, and a sheath for the sword that was black with golden edges and silver designs winding up it. The second item was a wicked looking silver bladed dagger with a dark grey handle, and the third a small handgun with a silver lightning bolt on the sides. Croix purchased the items, and left the store with his pet in tow.

They spent the rest of the day walking along the park looking at the trees and the small lake. His creature was quite interested in the ducks, and asked if he could eat one to which Croix immediately said no. It was almost pitch dark by the time they got back home, and Croix unlocked the door walking inside. He dropped the stuff on the table and unhooked the leash from the collar.

"I want you to keep that collar on at all times okay?"

His pet nodded. Croix smiled and yawned. He shrugged his coat off and put it away. He left the stuff on the table and went into his room. He pulled off his shirt and started to unbutton his pants when his pet walked in and did it for him. Croix felt his eyes go wide and he pushed the creature away.

"Don't do that!" he yelled.

His hybrid whimpered and crawled back nuzzling his leg. Croix pried him off his leg and buttoned his pants back up. He was going to sleep in them tonight. His pet had the saddest look on his face, and Croix immediately felt bad.

"I don't want you to do that okay? I'm not mad at you. I don't know where you want to sleep, but I need to go to bed now okay?"

His creature nodded and slinked into a corner curling up in a ball. He kept his eyes on Croix. Croix warily went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth. When he finished he splashed water on his face and dried off. He stared at his reflection and sighed.

"What am I going to do?" he asked his reflection. It didn't answer.

He flicked off the bathroom light and made his way to the bed. He yawned and fell back into it, pulling the blankets over him. His pet watched him all night, not shutting his eyes once. That night, Croix tossed and turned.

He was running along an endless path. It went on and on. Monsters lunged at him from every direction bellowing horribly. He whimpered and ran faster. Someone was chasing him. He glanced behind him and saw red eyes and huge fangs. He screamed and fell into a black abyss of absolute nothingness. He flailed wildly feeling his arms being bound and constricted to shadows he couldn't see. He then plunged into ice water, he was held under, he couldn't breath...

"Master, wake up!"

Croix' eyes flew open. He sat up quickly. He was breathing heavily and sweat dripped down his face. His pet was straddling his legs looking into his eyes worriedly. Croix gasped and saw his arms were tangled in blankets. He freed his arms and pushed his pet off the bed. His creature landed in a pile on the floor. He whimpered and crawled back to his corner. Croix looked around. He was in his room. He was fine.

He finally got control of his breath and fell back against his pillows. What was going on? He finally again fell asleep and stayed asleep the rest of the night. When he woke, sunlight was streaming in his window. He yawned and looked over at his clock. Nine o' clock! He sat up quickly almost falling out of bed. Why were his window curtains open?! What was that smell? Bacon? He made his way down the hall and into the kitchen. There on the table was a plate with steaming bacon and eggs. Toast with butter, a glass of orange juice. He blinked.

"What...?"

From a corner of the room sat a figure. As light flicked off the creature, he saw a sparkle of amethyst. Croix slowly remembered. His pet. He sat down and started to eat. It was very good.

"Are you hungry?"

The creature shook his head, and stayed curled on the floor. Croix finished and put the plate in the shelf where it was immediately cleaned and shined. Croix walked into the hall, and picked up the leash. He went back to his pet and clipped it onto the collar. It melded. Croix stepped away, and his creature slowly stood. Croix blushed. His pet was gorgeous in the new sunlight. Croix looked away.

"Are... you not pleased by my looks master?"

Croix blinked and looked at his pet. "No! I mean, no, you're very beautiful."

His pet beamed and Croix blushed again. He decided they would go on a walk since he didn't have much work to do. He would do the paperwork later. He almost ran right into a lady. He started to apoligize but blinked. The lady had five creatures behind her.

The five creatures looked like his. They had tiger stripes and dragon wings and all that stuff. But they were different. Three of them had short black hair with green streaks in it. They were female. They had deep golden skin. The other female had long golden hair with streaks of white in it. She had dark dark skin. The last one was a male, and he had short silver hair and pale skin.

They each had huge golden collars with diamonds encrusted in them. Attatched to the collars were chains made of rubies and sapphires. She held them loosely as if she wasn't scared of them doing anything. They were fawning over eachother. The lady had started to apologize too, but stopped just as he did.

"Croix?" asked the lady.

"Yes, that's me... do I know you?"

She shook her head, and extended her hand. "Master Chiave Sleutel."

That name sounded familiar, but Croix couldn't place it. Until of course, she continued her introduction.

"Owner of five of the violet breeds. These are my treasures. "Unk, Deuce, Troix, Catte, and Sinqo. Deuce is the male."

Croix' eyes widened. "Oh! Wow, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"You own a violet breed too..." Chiave said, she walked around Croix' pet admiring it. "A very beautiful specimen. I would love to add him to my collection."

Croix felt his gut tighten. "Yes, he is very beautiful, but I'm afraid I'm not interested in selling him."

Chiave stood in front of him again, her five pleasure slaves behind her, heads bowed. "I will give you all the money you need. Five-thousand, seven-thousand, two-million. Just name a price, I will meet it."

Croix' hand tightened around the leash. "I'm very well off financial-"

"Anything, a house in the bahamas, a house in switzerland, a mansion in france, anything you want!"

"I have a very good hou-"

"Gods, you can have my house, my estate, my land, you can own your own island! A chain of islands! I must have your violet breed!"

Croix was getting a little angry. "I will consider your offer, but for now I will keep him. He is very special to me as you probably can understand."

The lady nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, my slaves are very important to me, they mean the world to me. I couldn't live without them."

`Without their pleasure and the money they make for you' thought Croix, but he just nodded. And the lady started talking about her five and how special they were and what they did.

"Yes, that's fascinating." Croix said. "Alas, I must go. Pressing matters to attend to."

Chiave nodded and Croix quickly walked past her, practically dragging his pet along. Unfortunately, they weren't out of the situation just yet. Her five slaves started fawning over his pet. Croix growled, and yanked the chain and pulled his pet away. He practically ran away. They walked very fast until Croix couldn't see Chiave or her slaves anymore.

"That was disturbing." Croix muttered.

His pet cocked his head. "What did she mean by violet breed?"

"Violet breeds are the rarest kind of hybrid. There are only six in the whole world. You are one of them. Those five creatures that were around her are her five."

His pet nodded. They walked along the park silently.
