****Chapter Four****

Sunlight streamed through the windows, landing on Robin's sprawled out figure. The light was bright against his closed eyes, causing the boy to roll over. When his arm hit the empty pillow next to him, he opened a sleepy eye. He was alone.

Robin frowned. He felt a little silly for sleeping with someone he hardly knew, but Skye had made him feel so comfortable. He had felt like he could tell her anything. He wished he could have at least seen her sleeping there next to him.

A noise on the other side of the room startled him, making him sit bolt upright, ready for anything.

There she was. Skye was standing there, looking at a picture of Beast Boy spitting non-soy milk all over Raven. The blonde had on her shirt form the night before, and his silky black boxers.

Robin smiled, his joy almost overpowering; partly from the fact that she was still here, and from knowing that he hadn't been used.

“Are you aware,” she said, not looking at him, “that you snore?” She turned to a few papers about Slade that were lying on Robin's cabinet and began reading one of the articles.

“No” Robin replied, a little surprised at that bit of information. “Sorry” he added, smiling a bit more. A small silence passed between them, in which the Boy Wonder stared at the girl in his room lovingly.

“You really want to catch this guy, don't you?” The blonde turned away from the articles and finally looked at the black-haired teen. Her ice blue eyes held a penetrating look which sent a shiver up Robin's spine. She was all business.

“Yeah…” Robin's eyes narrowed. The way she had said that….

“He wants you too.” She stated simply, turning away and picking up one of the articles, looking at it closely. The Boy Wonder stared in shock. He couldn't have heard her right.

“What did you say?” He asked slowly, hoping she hadn't said what he had so clearly heard. She turned toward him again, walking slowly in his direction. Her eyes never left his.

Robin tensed up, feeling extremely venerable in his birthday suit. She reached his bed and climbed on all fours toward him. Robin backed up, not knowing what else to do. He was almost frozen by her stare. Skye crawled between his legs, put her cheek against his, and whispered in his ear, “If you want the perfect opportunity for a one-on-one with Slade, you will be at the docks two days from now at three A.M.”

Then, like nothing had happened, she turned around and scooted off of the bed, whipping off Robin's underwear and putting on her own.

Robin stared, his mouth hanging wide open for the second time. He could not believe what had just come out of her mouth. It was like a nasty swear word. He wanted to throw up.

“Wha…what…?” Robin felt like someone had kicked him in the stomach and every breath of air had been knocked out of his lungs. Completely dressed, she turned to him.

“And you will come alone or the opportunity will be lost.” She seemed like a completely different person from last night, like her icy powers were ruling her personality.

“Skye, what are you talking about?” The spiky-haired teen asked weakly. The blonde ignored him, however, and walked over to his window. She pushed it open, stepped onto the sill, turned and blew him a kiss, and was gone in the blink of an eye.

And all Robin could do was stare.

In his dark lair, Slade was becoming impatient. He wanted Skye to take her time, but he hadn't expected her to stay the whole night. He wanted to know what had happened.

He was being foolish, he knew, but he didn't want another Terra, no matter how different Skye was.

Just then, as if Skye knew exactly what he was thinking, the door swung open. Slade eased up out of his chair, not wanting to seem too eager. He quickly became nervous however. Skye wasn't smiling.

“Well?” He asked, keeping all emotion from his voice.

“He'll come.” She replied, a huge smile appearing on her face.

“You don't sound pleased” said Slade sarcastically, relieved and annoyed at the same time. There had been no need to scare him like that.

“What do you mean?” The blonde asked innocently, batting her eyelashes. She began fixing her hair, using the reflection of one of Slade's many computer screens. The man walked toward her and stood behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. He buried his masked face into her neck, inhaling.

“You smell like him” he stated.

“Is that a good thing?” She asked, a sly grin creeping across her face. Slade chuckled slightly and whispered in her ear, “Did you make him scream?”

Her grin became a wicked smile, but she didn't say anything. Instead she dislodged herself from his arms, sauntering over to her little room he had given her. She gave him one last smirk before closing the door.

Slade laughed quietly again to himself and began his planning for the upcoming rendezvous with the Boy Wonder.

Robin wouldn't know what hit him.

Hmmm, the plot thickens. To be continued….
