Sorry this chapter took so long. I was having a few…issues, but I'm okay now. Hopefully, I'll get the next chapter up soon. Meanwhile, keep the reviews coming guys, I'm loving it.
*A little OOC-ness for Robin in this chapter. Not much, but still enough to note.
Disclaimer: Not mine. Don't sue.
*****Chapter Five*****
“Hey, guys, where's Robin?” Cyborg asked suddenly. The team was currently lounging on the couch watching their favorite show.
“I don't know.” Beast Boy replied, noticing for the first time that the Boy Wonder wasn't present.
“He's probably in his room, working obsessively and won't be down for the rest of the night.” Raven's explanation was enough for all of them—except Starfire. She wasn't satisfied. The alien frowned and made her way to Robin's closed door as the rest of the Titans fell back into their vegetable-like state.
Meanwhile, behind Robin's closed door, the black-haired teen was pacing back and forth across his room. His mind was going at a mile-a-minuet.
Should he go to the pier tomorrow? Should he go alone? Was Slade really going to be there? And how the hell did Skye know about it?
“Does she know him?” He asked aloud. “Forget it, no, it's impossible.”
`But is it?' His nasty conscience replied. `How else would she know to be at the docks?'
“Is this a joke?” The Boy Wonder kept this up for hours, pacing, wondering, and hoping to any god out there that Skye wasn't in league with that loathsome man. Then, he was rudely jerked back to reality with a knock on his door.
“Robin?” Starfire's timid voice asked, muffled slightly by the door between them.
“Yeah?” Robin replied. He made no move to open his door. He didn't really want to talk with anyone right now.
“Um…would you wish to come out and watch the television with us? We have many bags of unhealthy foods to eat.” She added hopefully.
“Not right now, Star.” Robin said feeling a little guilty. “I'm…I'm busy.”
“Oh.” The alien girl sounded horribly put out. “Will you be down later?”
“Maybe—yes, I will.” He hated hearing the girl sound so sad.
Starfire brightened on the other side of the door. “Hooray! I will go and make more of the popped corn!” With that, she floated off to the kitchen, leaving Robin to his thoughts.
`I suppose I could use a break.' The teen thought to himself. His mind then trailed back to the question of whether or not he should tell his friends about his encounter with Skye. If he did, he would have to explain to them what she had been doing in his room all night….
The Boy Wonder blushed when he thought of that night. Skye was—amazing. He simply couldn't get over how wonderful she was. Then, like someone had hit him with a sledgehammer, a thought struck him. Was he…in love?
The more he thought about it, the more he realized that he could be. He had never been in love before, so he didn't know what it felt like. This could be the real thing, for all he knew.
This new thought gave the spiky-haired teen renewed strength and hope. There was no possible way that the blonde girl has helping Slade. It was out of the question. Slade had to be forcing her to do this. Yes, that was it.
Tomorrow, he would show up at the pier, kick Slade's ass, rescue Skye, recruit her as a Teen Titan, and they would live happily ever after.
Okay, he had to admit that it sounded completely retarded, but it made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside. So, with a new hope, the Boy Wonder left his room to spend some time with his friends.
However, little did he know, this could have been the last time he would ever spend with them.

Quietly shutting the door to her little room, Skye flopped down on her bed, utterly exhausted. She had just gone through one of Slade's rigorous training sessions. He had totally dominated. It had been a long time since she had gotten her butt kicked this badly.
The blonde reached up and dabbed at her lip. When she drew back her hand, her fingers were bloody. She sighed and looked around the little chamber she now called home. She had a bed, a dresser, and a bathroom complete with working facilities, including a shower, which sounded pretty inviting right about now.
The rest of her room, however, was white and bare. She hadn't brought much with her, and she doubted that Slade had any posters she could borrow. But, hey, she wasn't complaining. It could have been a lot worse.
She closed her eyes and began humming the tune to some random song, absentmindedly twisting her hair around her finger. Her thoughts soon began to wander. She thought of a concert she had gone to when she was twelve. She thought of her favorite café where you could get the best cup of coffee in the whole world. She thought of that one pair of jeans that made her feel like a super model and wondered where they were.
She also thought of her fight with Terra.
**Flashback**
Terra was walking down the sidewalk, heading back to the Tower. Her meeting with Slade had gone well. Soon, she would unveil her true intentions. She didn't know, however, that someone else had plans of their own.
Terra suddenly realized that she was alone. The heels of her shoes were echoing eerily off of the buildings with each step. She looked nervously around. The city was really creepy at night. There were clouds veiling the sky, letting no starlight through.
Terra shivered and looked forward, nearly running into someone standing on the sidewalk. It was a girl, about the same age as herself, with white- blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. She was standing with her hands on her hips, and fixing Terra with her icy stare.
“Sorry” Terra said quietly, walking around the girl. She was nearly past her, when:
“It's good to finally meet you...Terra.” Terra stopped dead in her tracks. She turned to look at the other blonde. The girl was smirking.
“Who are you?” Terra asked, backing away slightly, falling into a fighting stance. The strange girl turned as well, crossing her arms.
“Call me Skye.”
**End Flashback**
It had taken Skye not more than five minutes to defeat Terra. Their fight had taken them up to the rooftops of the city, where Skye had pounded the information she had needed out of the girl.
`What an insult' she thought with a smirk. She almost hadn't delivered the final blow, however. Terra had been cute. Very cute.
With the mention of cute, the blonde's thoughts turned to Robin. She thought about the first time she had seen him, and how funny he had looked stuck in the creatures nasty slime trail. Her smirk turned into a smile when Skye remembered the night she had shown up in his room. The look on his face had been priceless.
The smile disappeared when she thought of the morning to come. The blonde had no idea what was gong to happen. She wondered how Robin would react when he saw Slade's new apprentice.
`I can't wait' she thought as she sat up and made her way to the bathroom. Whatever did happen, she knew it would definitely be worth her while.
Skye was glad that she had stumbled upon this city and all of its interesting inhabitants.

End of chapter five!! I didn't describe the fight scene between Terra and Skye because I wanted you guys to use your imaginations. I like knowing that you'll all come up with something unique. I also want to make it a little bit of a mystery. What did happen on the rooftops between Skye and Terra? Maybe you'll find out later, in another story, perhaps?
Until next time….
