The glowing orb began to throb as it slowly, painstakingly grew. Sharp, golden eyes furrowed into a frown of concentration as it worked slowly to get the small, miniscule marble of an orb bigger. The orb was weak and pathetic, barely alive. But it was an improvement. If it could grow just a little more… the little orb pulsed as it was fed small amounts of energy. Suddenly the orb faltered, and burst into thousands of shards of energy. Cyrinth swore frustration. He had been working to create a sufficient orb for the past 6 weeks and yet he still couldn't get it right. His tutor had given him up as hopeless telling Cyrinth that he had absolutely no talent in the magic of sorcery except for lighting candles.

Cyrinth gritted his teeth and pounded the ground with his staff in anger. The noise echoed throughout the whole valley in which he had retreated to in hopes of accomplishing more in a far less, stressful atmosphere. That stupid old geyser! Cyrinth thought angrily. He's always insulting me! Immediately where Cyrinth's staff had been, a small marigold sprouted. Cyrinth's angry face softened at the sight of the small flower.

This talent to grow plants had showed up near the beginning of Cyrinth's training. His tutor had been interested at first with this power for a while. But then his tutor had gotten exasperated due to Cyrinth's inability to harness this talent. Many of his friends had made fun of him calling him the "Garden Sorcerer"

Cyrinth's face darkened. Everyone made fun of him, even his family. Normally Cyrinth would just smile and ignore it, but no longer. Cyrinth was sick of being oppressed and humiliated. But all that was going to change. This time, it would be them who will be humiliated and oppressed. And it would be he who would laugh. He would show them, He would show them all.
