Chapter 3

(cut to an apartment hallway where George is leaning up against the wall while Sierra is trying to unlock the door to apartment 8A,the apartment Lauren left her.)

George: Can't you just use lock picks?

Sierra: Please. The last time I used lock picks was 9 years ago. I tried getting into some guys apartment and one of their neighbors called the cops on me. I got arrested for breaking and entering and spent the night in jail. Yuki had to come and bail me out. Luckily, The case was dropped. I haven't used them since.

George:(VO)How does she do all this stuff? I've never met a reaper who spent a night in jail in there afterlife, let alone a Japanese one.

(the door finally unlocks and Sierra opens it.)
Sierra: Finally!
(She walks in with George behind her and stops about 5 feet in)
Sierra: Whoa...
(The floor is covered in clothes, shoes, video games, and dvds. The walls are covered in wall scrolls from animes like Witch Hunter Robin, Kiddy Grade, Kiki's Delivery Service, Trigun, Inu-Yasha, Kenshin, Tenchi Muyo!, .hack, FLCL and Cowboy Bebop. There is a computer on one side under a window, a bed in the middle of the room and a TV is in front of it. A PS2 is plugged into the TV and a wood cabinet is next to the TV. The only place that doesn't seem to have clothes on it is the top of the dresser, which has a lot of anime figurines on it)

George:(VO)'Don't Crap up my apartment' my ass. Lauren already did it.

Sierra:(Falls to her knees and throws her hands up)Thank you Lauren Bailey!(kisses the floor)It could use some cleaning though.

George:(VO)Understatement of the century.

George: Let me help you.
(George starts picking up Dvds)
George: (looking at one)Excel Saga?

Sierra:(raises her hand)Hail IlPalazzo!

George: Holy Shit, what was that?

Sierra:(giggles)Sorry, I couldn't resist.

George: Whatever.(sees the cabinet)I think the Dvds go here.
(Sierra walks over to the cabinet and opens it. She gasps.)
George: What?

Sierra: Lauren had the Cowboy Bebop perfect sessions! I never got that!(pulls out the box and looks at it. She starts crying.)

George: Are you crying?

Sierra: I'm sorry, but its just so beautiful.

(cut to the Lass House where Reggie is laying in her bed. She has a notebook in one hand and a pen in the other)

George:(VO)While I was dealing with Sierra finding happiness, Reggie was trying to find her own.
(Joy walks in)
Joy: Hey Reggie. What are you doing?

Reggie: Trying to come up with a name for a band.

Joy: A what?

Reggie: A band. You got a problem with that?

Joy: Yes! You don't need a band!

Reggie: Mom, I feel like my drum playing skills are going to waste!

Joy:(mumbles)You call those skills?

Reggie:(sits up)I'm getting better for you information. I wish you would put some confidence in me. Now, Get out of my room.

Joy: Reggie...

Reggie: Please get out?(she starts pushing her out, but Joy finds her way out and almost slams the door.)

Joy:(on the other side of the door. whispers)Why did she have to be so weird?
(Reggie puts her drumsticks, her notebook, and the book Guardians of Ga'hoole: The Capture in her bag and escapes out the window. She jumps from the roof and makes her way to the toilet seat tree and plops down under it. She takes out her drumsticks and twirls them. Meanwhile, we see Charlie the kid reaper come out of the woods. He sees Reggie with her drumsticks)
Charlie: You play?

Reggie:(looks up at him)Huh?

Charlie: Do you play the drums?

Reggie: Oh. Yeah, I do. My parents hate it though.

Charlie:(lying)I know how that goes. My rents hate my Guitar.

Reggie: I want to start a band but my mom thinks its a waste of time. She thinks I'm some sort of Circus freak.

Charlie:(lying)My parent do too. Maybe because I skateboard.

Reggie: What's your name?

Charlie: It's Charlie. You?

Reggie: Reggie Lass.

Charlie: Well, Nice to meet you Reggie.(shakes her hand and looks up)What's with the tree?

Reggie: It's a monument to my dead sister. She was killed when a toilet seat from MIR crashed on her.

(Charlie almost shouts,"I know her",but he swallows his words)

Reggie: So what were you doing in the woods?

Charlie:(sits down) Just looking around. Found a dead cat.

George:(VO)While Reggie and Charlie were getting aquatinted, I was helping Sierra move in.

(cut to the hallway where Sierra, George and Rube are carrying bags and suitcases into Sierra's new apartment, which is now a bit more clean. Rube and George set her things down on the floor and Sierra places a long hard plastic case on the bed.)
George: How the hell did you get all of this shit through the airport?

Sierra: I wonder that myself, but the stuff I shipped Rube hasn't shown up yet.

George: Shipped?

Sierra: I couldn't fit all my thing in bag or I ran out of suitcases for clothes, so I sent a few boxes to Rube.

Rube: Hey, don't tell many people this, but she was one of my best reapers.(He puts her arm around her shoulder and semi-hugs her.)So I was doing her a favor.

Sierra: Did we get everything?

Rube: I think so. Well, I'll be off. I'll call you when those boxes arrive Sierra.(walks out)
Sierra: Bye Rube!

George: I still can't believe how clean you got this place.

Sierra: I know. Hey, look what I found under the bed.(she pulls out a bunch of wall scrolls and a shoebox)These were wall scrolls she couldn't find room for. And this box.(opens it up to reveal a bunch of Manga)There's 3 more boxes under here!

George: Damn.

Sierra: Also!(runs into a closet and brings out two cardboard cutouts. One is Spike Spiegel and the other is Legolas.)These are cool!

George:(VO)I had a felling Sierra and Lauren where a lot alike. They probably would have gotten along really well if Lauren didn't die.

(Sierra puts the cut outs on both sides of the dresser and plops down on the bed.)

Sierra: Oh! You have to see my baby!(she opens a plastic case and throws a couple of shirts on the bed to reveal a blue Rickenbacker 4003 left handed base guitar. She pulls out a blue pick and plays a scale.)My amp is in one of those boxes I sent Rube.(she sighs and stares at the guitar)Now all I need is a yellow Vespa and a pull-start engine in this guitar.

George:(VO)This was one of those 'smile and nod' moments.

George: So are you left handed?

Sierra: Actually, I'm Ambidextrous. I write mostly with my right hand, but I do a lot of other stuff with my left.

George: Oh. Did you have a band?

Sierra: Yeah, I did! It was with Yuki, Kuri, Shinji, and Mellie. They're reapers too. We were the best unsigned band this side of Hokkaido., but we disbanded when I transferred. So, I guess I'm looking for a band along with a job.

George:(VO)Well, pretty soon, her and my sister were going to cross paths.

A/N: More Notes! Lauren's Apartment Number is 8A.If you use Phone codes,'8' is TUV. Basically, her Apartment number translates to TA, which are the first letters in Tetsuwan Atom or otherwise know as Astro Boy, the first anime ever!

A wall scroll is like a poster except its made out of fabric, not paper. All of those wall scrolls are some of my favorite animes.

Its very rare that you find a LEGAL Cowboy Bebop perfect sessions because it was so limited. The perfect sessions comes in a box with 6 dvds and a soundtrack. A lot of bootleggers sell them with 3 discs and Chinese and English subtitles. Considering that Lauren's copy was the actually version, I think that why Sierra was crying.

Excel Saga's main character is Excel Excel. One thing she is always doing is sticking her arm straight up in the air and shouting 'Hail IlPalazzo!' who is her boss. The whole anime is about Excel working for ACROSS, an underground organization who are trying(and horribly failing) to take over the world.

Sierra's guitar is the same one Haruko hits people over the head with in FLCL(or Fooly Cooly. Or Furi Kuri).When Sierra says "Now all I need is a yellow Vespa and a pull-start engine in this guitar",she is also referring to FLCL. Haruko drives a Yellow Vespa around and has installed a pull-start engine in her guitar.

The band member's names all have different origins. Yuki is Japanese for snow and is a very common name used in anime. So is its longer version Yukino. Kuri means Acorn and is the name of one character in this RP I'm a part of on another board. Shinji is the name of the main character in Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the most popular anime ever. And finally, Mellie is a name of one of my friends. She hate anime but loves bands like Less than Jake and Taking Back Sunday.
