Short story on Rath. Rath is not from Saphira. He met up with Crystal's parents when she was born and the scar is from a battle that you will find out in chapter 4 or 5
Who are you?
When Crystal awoke she found herself in a bed. She could only gaped at what was in front of her. The room was fill with amazing paintings on the wall and the bed post had carvings of dragons and tigers. She saw two doors and thought that one of them led outside the room and the other was either a bathroom or a closet. She got out from the bed and saw that the room had a wonderful view of an ocean and it had a balcony a few feet away from the bed.
There was a table in the middle of the room and there laid on the table a vase filled with the most beautiful red, blue, white, and pink roses she had ever seen. She was still looking around when she suddenly heard someone open one of the doors. There stood a man in his late 30s and a small boy who only look like he was eleven. The boy had brown hair and eyes and had a simple outfit on. His shirt was a light green shirt and he also had brown shorts on. Crystal thought that he looked sort of cute in a sister and brotherly bond.
She then noticed that the man was staring at her with a confused look. He had brown hair and eyes and had a nasty scar on his neck. He wore a dark red silk shirt and he also had black pants on. On the upper right of his shirt was a blue phoenix with a black insignia with it. For some reason Crystal could’ve sworn that she seen that mark before but couldn’t figure out where. Crystal was still looking at him when he suddenly smiled and said, “Well Crystal your finally awake.”
“What, how do you know my name?! Tell me right now who the hell are you and where am I or else.” Crystal yelled. The man only laugh at her and said, “Well I can see that you have your father’s attitude. Anyways I’m Rath and this is my son Kent. You were past out when we found you. To tell you the truth I‘ve known your parents for a long time and I was also there when you were born sixteen years ago.” When Crystal heard this she couldn’t believe what he had said. She didn’t even knew that he had known about her parents. She was completely stunned by this new information. She then ask, “How do you know my parents. Are you related to them or are you friends or enemies.”
“Well I can tell you that later and how about we get you dress. There some fresh clothes in that bathroom over there and when your done you could come out and eat some breakfast. I can explain all this mess. Now how about you get ready.” At that he and Kent left. Crystal just stared at the door and tried to recall what had happen. Well she did feel a little hungry. She then went to the bathroom to get take a shower. When she got out she was wearing a black shirt, along with a red jacket with the same insignia as Rath, and some loose black pants. She was also wearing her sword that she fond by the shower when she came in.
She was about to leave but then Kent came in. Crystal then said, “Hey Kent what’s up.” When she said that Kent looked up and then back at Crystal with a confused look on his face. He then said, “ What do you mean by what’s up. All I see is the ceiling that’s all.” Crystal just looked at him, “Uh… How about you forget that I said that and what is it that you wanted to talk about.” she asked. “Well I was going to see if you were done and take you to get some food.” With that they both left. They were walking in an uncomfortable silence until Kent broke it, “Um hey… Crystal can you play with me after breakfast?” he shyly asked. Crystal was stunned by this but then she smiled and said yes. Kent was so thrilled to hear her answer and said that there were going to play all sorts of games. While they were still talking they walked in the dining room and they sat down. Crystal noticed that Rath wasn’t there and asked, “Hey Kent where’s your dad at, I thought that he was going to eat with us?”
“He already ate when you were taking a shower and that he will be out side when we are done. Crystal can we play tag first when we’re done pretty, pretty, please.” when he said this he put on the most cutest puppy dog eyes Crystal had ever seen. She couldn’t resist and said yes. Crystal wondered if she had a brother would he be like Kent. But she put that aside and said, “Come on lets eat and then we’ll play got that?” Kent then grinned like he had won all of the world’s candy. They started to eat and when they were done they were instantly outside playing even though Crystal thought that it was kind of childish but it was still fun.
Couple of hours later they were on the floor out of energy and couldn’t even sit up. They didn’t even noticed that Rath was watching them as they played. He then decided to go talk to them. “Hey kids have fun playing.” Kent waved his hand because he couldn’t even speak and Crystal could only huff a simple yes. Rath only smiled at them he hadn’t seen his son like that in years since his wife was still alive. Crystal was the first to stand up. She smile as well as Kent she then went to Kent and help him up and they went to Rath still smiling at each other. Rath then told Kent to go inside so that he could talk to Crystal alone. When they were alone Rath said, “So Crystal what questions do you want to ask me about?”
Crystal thought for a minute and then said, “What am I supposed to do now.” “Well we could train and then relax a bit. Anyways I forgot to ask what day did you leave Earth?” Crystal was stunned why would he want to know that. “It was May 13 why?” she said. “Oh it’s nothing just wondering. Come on lets train.” With that they left and went to train. Little did Crystal know that he had a little surprised for her. Rath then started laughing like a maniac and didn’t knew that Crystal was right there giving him an odd look. She asked if he had gone mad and he said that he was just thinking and to not think about what just happen. She then dismissed it and Kent came back and tag Crystal and they started another game of tag. Rath then left to get started with his *plan*
A/N: What do you think will happen to Crystal and What is Rath's plan is it to kill Crystal or something much better. You have to find out later MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA another cliffhanger. In the next chapter Rath will tell Crysal about his relationship with her parents and how he got that scar.
