The world is black, mine eyes must deceive me.

My head is throbbing, the pain unbearable.

My feet are burning, the fire licking them.

I lie here, in a world of darkness.

No light can be seen, no sound heard.

In my world of despair, no comfort is given.

When I open my eyes, all that I see,

Is the bright light of life dancing before me.

So I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

My world dark, painful, and deep.
