Fan Fiction ❯ Reaper ❯ You need to get out more often. ( Chapter 2 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
"Gimme the magazine Kira-Kira!"
"No! You said it was stupid, so you can't see it! It's my magazine anyway Ren!" Kira-Kira squeaked.
"Kira-Kira, if you know what's good for you, you'll fork that magazine over right now." Ren urged, pushing her scythe under the pink-clad roommate's nose. "A fluffy bunny escort like you is no match for a real Reaper like me, so fork over that magazine!"
"I'm a real Reaper too Ren! You can't boss me around! When Soshitsu-"
"That's just what I mean." Ren interrupted, snatching the magazine from Kira-Kira. "A real Reaper should fight their own battles, not rely on others to protect them." Ren flopped down on her red leather armchair, and stuck an unlit cigarette in her mouth. "You need to learn to be a more ruthless person if you don't wanna get demoted." She lit the cigarette. "I'm pretty sure getting demoted is a daily concern for you."
'Good,' Soshitsu thought, 'they're occupied with their own little argument so I can just'
"SOSHITSU!!!!!" A small pink thing with purple hair, bunny ears and a high pitched voice tackled the exhausted Reaper, knocking her to the ground and reminding her how badly the carpet needed to be cleaned. It bounced up and started dancing around chanting. "Soshitsu's home, Soshitsu's home, Soshitsu's home, SOSHITSU'S HOME!!!! Yay!!! Now your gonna get it Ren!" The pink thing (which Soshitsu now recognized as her hyper roommate stuck her tongue out at Ren and then began to prance over to her beanbag chair and stuffed animals, snatching her magazine from the stunned Ren's hands on her way.
"That Was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. And I was an assassin." Ren stared at Soshitsu. She stroked her oiled hair. "So is the time clock still broken!!?" She blurted out like a child asking if they're parents had gotten their presents yet.
"It never was broken That was what I was supposed to do I don't wanna talk about it." Soshitsu mumbled, heading for her room. She tried to open the door. Her doorknob wouldn't turn. She banged the door. She wasn't in the mood for this. She reached into her pocket. She didn't remember locking her door, infact she remembered
Leaving her key on her dresser. Soshitsu muttered obscenities under her breath as she headed for the bathroom to get a nail file. That always worked. She turned the bathroom's door knob. It was locked. She knocked. "Anyone in there?" She waited. No answer. She REALLY wasn't in the mood for this. She walked back down the hall to ask Ren and Kira-Kira for their bathroom keys.
Ren and Kira-Kira weren't fighting anymore. They sat quietly, side-by-side, devious grins on their faces. Soshitsu was scared now, very scared. They advanced, never taking their eyes off her. Soshitsu opened her mouth to scream bloody murder, but she was out like a light.

Ren and Kira-Kira boarded the bus. Ren slipped enough money for three people into the cashbox thingymajigger and sat down on the first seat. Ren loved public transportation. If you walked on with an unconscious person over your shoulder no one so much as gave you an second glance. Nobody ever asked questions. So much more convenient then walking. Ren plopped the unconscious Soshitsu down between her and Kira-Kira.
"This'll get her more social for sure! She's gonna be a hit!" Kira-Kira was excited. This had all been her idea. Big party+Soshitsu+Guys= happy Soshitsu. This was something that hadn't been seen since Soshitsu became the number one Reaper. Soshitsu stirred. Kira-Kira saw Ren poise to knock her out again.
Soshitsu's head was pounding. Where was she? What was she doing there? Only one way to find out. She opened her eyes.
She managed to smother a scream. For one thing, Ren was in a very skimpy dress. For another she had somehow found her way onto a bus.
"Berriot Plaza. Ladies, isn't that were you wanted to be let off?" The old zombie driving the bus asked. He was sort of furry. Maybe he used to be a werewolf.
"It is now isn't?" Ren said pleasantly. Pleasant? Ren? Dresses? Something was deffinatly amiss. Soshitsu was about to ask why they were going to the Berriot Plaza and then she remembered the flyer. She was about to ask the bus driver to take her home but Ren grabbed her arm and dragged her off the bus and into the building. Loud music met her ears. It was gonna be a long, long night.
