~~Chapter 8: Beginnings…~~

The next morning was awkward. Andy fumbled with her school books and Matt sipped his coffee, both wanting to discuss the new discovery, but neither wanting to start the conversation. Finally Matt broke the uncomfortable silence. "Look, Andy…I'm sorry and…" he was interrupted.

"I can be gone after school; you don't have to worry about it. Just don't show up to pick me up."

"Huh?" he was confused beyond belief. "What you want to leave?"

"Isn't that what you were going to suggest? I mean, it's not like I've been the best house guest any ways. If you want me gone, I'll go." His mouth fell open.

"No. I was going to say…that I'm sorry I did that. And if you don't feel comfortable, you can leave. If you want to go ahead. You're, "he paused not sure how to word it correctly. "Some one I care a lot about. I want to help you. If you'll let me that is. I won't let what happened last night happen again. I swear you don't have to worry about me taking advantage of you or hurting you." He looked down at the floor as she spoke.

"It's alright. I'll stay, if you say that you don't want me to leave." His eyes shot up to her face which was now painted a deep red. He narrowed his eyes in confusion.

"Of course I want you to stay. I want you to do what you feel is right." She smiled brilliantly and grabbed her book bag off the table. She blushed red before running out the door down to her school. What was that about? He shook his head and got ready for work.

~~the next day…Andy's b-day~~

Andy jerked awake to the harsh beep of an alarm clock. She sat up, yawned and stretched before opening her eyes. She saw her dresser with a small vase full of small violets, a tray of fresh breakfast and a present wrapped in a bright blue wrapping paper. She smiled and stepped out of bed. She inspected the stuff on top of the dresser and barely noticed when the door to her room opened. Matt stood in the door way of her room and his throat went dry. Andy stood at her dresser in a skimpy silk under-slip nightgown that barely reached the middle of her thighs. He felt himself stirring below his belt, and grit his teeth to keep from reacting.

"Good morning. And Happy Birthday." He smiled and plunged his hands into his pockets. She smiled and placed her hands on the dresser top. She could feel the enormous blush creeping to her face, and the look he had in his eyes sent a pleasant shiver up her spine. "I…uh…just came in to make sure you were awake and that your breakfast didn't get cold. Hurry and eat we have a packed day today." He said mysteriously and shut her door leaving her alone with her thoughts. Busy day today huh? I wonder what we're going to be doing. She pondered the question as she ate the food left for her. She quickly dressed and did her hair. She looked in the mirror and smiled, I hope I look ok… She opened her door and walked into the living room wondering where Matt had gone. He walked in from the kitchen, drying his hands on a hand towel and stopped dead in his tracks once spotting her. She looked irresistible. She wore a form fitting green and blue striped kitted sweater and a pair of dark black jeans. She's beautiful; this is going to make it harder on me. He grimaced as he felt a stir below the waist of his pants. "Ready to go?"

"Go where?" she questioned as she grabbed a light coat and her purse. He smiled evilly.

"You'll see when we get there." He shuffled her out the door and locked up as he went. When they got to the car he opened it and let her climb inside shutting the door once she was settled. He started the car and headed out the drive way. They drove for about twenty minutes and finally came to rest outside an older looking theatre. She gasped in surprise as she recalled their earlier conversation.

"Matt? Did you plan this especially for me?" he nodded and tears welled up in her eyes. "You're so…nice, thoughtful, kind, generous, you name it. I swear no one has ever been this nice no me." The word is perfect, he is perfect. A few silent tears slipped down her cheek and she brushed them away hurriedly. He climbed out and helped her out of the car. He held her waist firmly so she wouldn't slip on the ice that had formed on the sidewalks during the winter months. Once inside he purchased two tickets, even after the protests Andy made. She was able to get him back though, by getting the popcorn and sodas while he went to the restroom. They settled down in to two over-stuffed chairs just as the lights dimmed and the advertisements came on. The movie was a comedy that Andy had heard of. Matt picked this movie because she recognized a couple of the actors, not to mention, it would be good to take her mind of her present situation. Andy was having the time of her life…she was at the movies, laughing like there was no tomorrow, with the nicest, not to mention cutest guy she knew. How could life get any better? She was so enthralled by the movie she hardly noticed that Matt's eyes hardly left her. By the end of the movie Andy's ribs ached from laughing so much but she felt so happy she couldn't complain. She and Matt walked out to his car side by side. Andy laced her fingers in his and held his hand she smiled radiantly up at him. "Thanks Matt. I had a great time. The best in a long time." He smiled back and nodded nonchalantly, like he helped homeless runaways every day of his life. Once back at his car Andy blushed a crimson red, realizing she hadn't let go of his hand, it just felt so natural, she didn't even think about it. He opened her door and waited until she was seated before he shut it and went over to his own.

He drove further away from the house, deciding to change his plans a little. They stopped outside a nice café called Sisi's. Andy gasped in delight at seeing it. "Oh my god. How do you know?" he looked at her with a quizzical gaze. "I haven't been here since I was little, I loved this café." The tension in his features relaxed and he smiled easily.

"Good, I'm glad. C'mon. Let's go eat." He smiled and unbuckled her seatbelt along with his. They got out and went inside, the waitress that seated them placed them in an isolated both that was concealed behind what seemed to be a wall of potted plants. It was so romantic Andy couldn't help but feel like she was on her first date. No way. He made it absolutely clear he didn't want anything to do with me like that, yesterday morning. Don't even think about it, it'll just build up your hopes. They sat and talked for a little while before a waiter came over to greet them.

"Hello. My name is Brandon. I'll be your server today. What can I get you two love birds first?" Andy and Matt looked quickly at each other and then at the waiter both with amused looks on their faces.

"W-who us? No, no, nothing like that. I'm just a friend taking her out for a birthday lunch." He said nervously. Andy wrung her hands in her lap and agreed just as nervously. The waiter gave them a non-believing look but took their orders just the same. When the waiter left Andy felt awkward in starting conversation, so she decided to look around the restaurant, taking in her settings. Matt decided to break the uncomfortable silence. "So are you having a good birthday?"

"Yeah, it's been really great. Thank you again, I don't think I've had this great a time in a long time." She said smiling. He smiled back at her. Their food came quickly and they ate through a stimulating conversation. The bill came and Andy pulled out her wallet.

"What are you doing?" he said critically. She looked down at her wallet and then back at him.

"Taking out money for the food." She said unsure. He shot her a playfully agitated look and took the wallet from her, zipped it up and placed it down on the table.

"You don't pay for your birthday meal." He said smiling as the waiter walked away with the bill and cash in hand. He handed her the wallet and she shoved it into her back pocket in mock anger. He stood and handed her his hand to assist her in standing as well.

"You treat me like I'm fragile and I'm going to break if I do any thing." She commented as they walked to his car. He turned red as he realized he was holding the door open for her.

"Sorry." He mumbled. She smiled and sat down. He shut the door and went around to the other side. "I…uh…don't mean to. It's just the way I was brought up; you treat a woman you like with courtesy. Actually, just treat any woman with courtesy. I can't help it. Sorry." She smiled and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"I'm not mad. It's just different. I've…never mind." She blushed and looked out the window.

"What?" he asked curiously.

"I've never been treated this way before. Everyone just treated me like I was nothing special, just another person. It's nice, to feel cared for, to feel special." She smiled and blushed redder then she had her entire life. He smirked at her nervousness.

"Well, everyone has someone who cares for them. I mean, everyone has someone special to them." He mentally slapped himself. If that's not a big flashing sign `I like you' then I must be stupider then I think. She looked at him out of the corner of her eye and then her blush deepened. By the time they got back to his apartment it was starting to get dark. They got back to his apartment quickly enough and hurried inside out of the freezing weather. Andy shook her head and noticed a few small flakes fall from her hair. She glanced out a window and gasped.

"Look Matt, it's…snowing." She tugged on his shoulder and pulled him to look out the window. They watched in silence as the ground was covered in a thick blanket of snow. Matt looked over at Andy's face and was caught off guard when he realized she was crying.

"Andy what's the matter?" he asked pulling her into a light embrace. She wrapped her arms around his waist and snuggled her head into his shoulder.

"I'm just so…happy." She smiled into his shoulder as she felt him squeeze her tightly to him. "Thank you so much." She hugged him closely and then, thinking he didn't feel comfortable she loosened her grip. She stifled a breathy gasp when he didn't pull away from her, in fact he held her that much tighter. She blushed and resettled into his grip. They stood that way for a few minutes. Andy blushed to herself as a bold thought sprang to her mind. She took a deep breath, inhaling his intoxicating scent, and tried to calm her racing heart. She stood up on tip toes and placed feather-light kisses to the curve of his neck. He struggled to keep himself from reacting. She switched to the other side and administered similar affections. His breathing became ragged and she felt his hands fist in the back of her shirt. She slowly pulled out and looked him in the eyes, her eyes clouded over with desire and passion. She began to unbutton his shirt and he stiffened, her fingers stopped mid-movement. She looked up at him with sad eyes. "Matt?" she asked through tears. He clenched his teeth to keep his body from taking over. "I'm…I'm sorry. I just thought…" she trailed off and spun around so he was looking at her back. His eyes melted just a little. She cares…I can't…it would be taking advantage of her… but she wants me, the same argument played through his head. A battle raged inside his head and before he realized what he was doing he wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his head on her shoulder. She gasped and then leaned into his embrace.

"I can't. I want to but I can't." he said softly. She looked at him with questioning eyes.

"Why?" she said simply, although just as soft.

"Because I would be taking advantage of you. You're in a hard situation right now, and you don't need me to complicate things. I'd only make life harder on you because you'd have to worry about me too. It wouldn't be fair to you. Trust me it's for your own good." She pushed away from him and had anger in her eyes.

"Who are you to tell me what is good for me? I lived on my own in the streets for three weeks before you came along. Do you think that was easy? Do you think being here and having you tell me that you don't want me physically is easy? Until you've had the person you love tell you they don't want you for your own good, don't try to tell me what's good for me. You treat me like I matter to the world, like if I disappeared the world would be terrible. It's not true, my family doesn't want me, my friends hate me, and now you stand there and tell me it's not good for me to love you? How can you? My world's been ripped apart around me and all I have is you, and I'm not supposed to love you because it's not good for me? I don't care what's good for me right now; I care about what I want and what makes me feel good. And you do that, you make me want things I've never wanted before, you make me feel good, special. So please don't think about what is good for me right now, think about what I need."

"You're wrong. On a few accounts. First off, if you disappeared, the world would be terrible, for me at least and for a lot of other people. Second off, do you think it's easy to stand here and say that I don't want you when all I want to do right now is take you in the bedroom and make love to you? God, I've wanted you for a long time. I wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat from dreams that I really don't want to get into right now. Third, that's what is different about me and your family, I treat you like a woman, who has needs, and thoughts, and desires of her own, your family treats you like a child, making all your decisions for you…" he paused realizing what he just said.

"Exactly. Let me make my own decision tonight." She came close and twined her arms around his waist. "Let me take care of the needs I have. Help me to get rid of the thoughts I get…" he interrupted her.

"Thoughts? What thoughts?"

"Rejection, that you truly don't feel anything towards me. Please Matt, let me fulfill my desires. Give into yours. Please Matt I need this. I need you." He looked into her eyes and saw the deep longing he felt mirrored there. Before he could stop himself he leaned down and sealed her lips with his. She moaned sensually into his mouth and slid her arms around his neck. He pushed lightly and they leaned backwards until her weight was rested on the wall. He slid his hands down from the small of her back over her pert bottom, to the back of her thighs and lifted, wrapping her long slim legs around his waist. Her core came in direct contact with his raging arousal and she gasped as he ground his hips into hers. Bracing her weight on the wall he slid his hands up and over her thighs to tease one of her nipples through the soft material of the sweater. She gasped and then groaned into his warm wet mouth. Her lips left his and kissed a pathway to his neck, where she administered the same affections as she had earlier. He groaned a guttural moan above her head and ground his hips into hers more fervently. He felt his knees get weak and placed her down on her own two feet. She smiled and took his hand, leading him to the room where she was staying. He paused at the door and looked hesitantly inside. Seeing his hesitancy she padded over to him and grabbed the collar to his shirt and kissed him roughly, pulling him into the room as she did so. She kicked the door shut and continued to kiss him. He walked over to the bed, turning them around so she was walking backwards and with great ease lifted her slight weight in his hands and delicately placed her on the bed. Her legs automatically came around his hips, pushing her womanhood against his hard arousal. He brought his mouth down to hers again for another searing lust-filled kiss. She felt his hands come from by her shoulders to gently pull at the hem of her sweater. She groaned impatiently and ripped the shirt over her head, throwing it across the room. His hands came back to her body and teased her already aroused nipple through the lacey material of her bra. He looked down at her body and was in awe of how beautiful she was. His face contorted in a humorous confusion. Tracing his finger along the seam of her bra, he spoke softly, his voice raspy to his own ears.

"Is this new?" he watched as she breathed out raggedly and nodded yes. "How come this is the first time I've seen it? I thought you try everything on for me." she laughed lightly and smiled lustfully up at him. He slipped his fingers under the strap on her shoulder and pulled down, drawing it away from her chest. His head went down and he engulfed her left nipple. She gasped and her hand slipped through his hair without purchase. He suckled lightly and flicked it with his tongue all the while working the clasp undone. She moaned and arched up into his mouth, giving him better access to the clasp. It was a few seconds before he pushed the small piece of cloth away from her body. His lips came back down to her nipple and she arched up into his mouth. He smirked at her responsiveness and switched breasts, lavishing similar attentions to it as well. She nearly swooned when she felt his hands travel down to the zipper of her pants. It seemed like eternity before he was pushing the top of her jeans down her smooth pearly legs. He straight-armed away from her and looked down at her with a lust clouded gaze. She was lying on her bed, clad in only her panties. His length swelled to the point of pain and he grit his teeth willing himself to calm down enough…he gasped out when he felt her hands at his fly, tugging insistently. She leaned up and captured his lips in a kiss as she hurriedly pulled on his pants. Finally she was able to work the button out and his zipper down, and she pushed the pants and his boxers down his legs. He stepped out of them and settled himself in between her thighs. She sighed as the solidness of his sex came in contact with her arousal, through her damp underwear. His hands came up to cup her jaw and he sealed her lips in a scorching kiss. His hand came down and he hooked his fingers on the hem of her panties and pulled them down her legs to land in a small heap on the floor next to her bra. His hand came back to her thigh and followed the curve inward until her touched her core. She moaned into his mouth and arced with pleasure. He found the small pearl he knew existed and circled it quickly. She gasped and moaned seductively with every caress of his fingers. Soon enough she felt a pleasurable tension building in her belly and cried out. The tension finally exploded and pleasure racked her body. Her fingers clenched into his shoulder as she flowed with the pleasure running through her body. Feeling the soft cotton of his shirt underneath her fingers she pushed the material down his shoulders until it slid from his back. She resettled her hands on his heated skin and was overcome with need and desire.

"Please Matt…please." She didn't elaborate on what she wanted but he knew. He knew better then she could ever imagine. He smirked with male satisfaction at her breathy sighs and words. He settled his hips squarely between her thighs and pushed in smoothly. Once the head cleared the first set of tight muscles he hit a barrier and froze. "Please Matt go on. I need you." He looked down at her and saw the need in her eyes. He sealed her lips and pushed roughly, breaking her maidenhood and catching her cry in his kiss. He stopped and waited for the pain to recede and for her to adjust to the feeling of him inside of her. The pain was short but intense, and she cried out in mostly shock rather then pain. She felt him tense and grow instantly still. The pain left quickly and after a few moments she bucked her hips to test the feeling. The wonderful friction was almost too much. He began with a slow rhythm but knew he wouldn't be able to hold out for very long. She's so tight…oh god it feels so good. She was in slight discomfort but the feeling of fullness was exquisite. She began to meet his thrusts and the pleasure increased. She couldn't control her sighs and moans because of the pleasure searing through her body from the apex of her thighs "Oh God…Matt…harder. Please go harder." Her wish was instantly granted and the tempo sped up along with the force of his thrusts. The familiar pleasure-filled tension began in her stomach. She cried out as the pleasure racked her body for the second time and she convulsed beneath him. Feeling her inner muscles convulse and shudder around him he pushed himself deep inside her and released. She heard a guttural moan above her head and smiled in feminine pride. I'm the one who brought him this pleasure, me, no one else. The pleasure was so intense he feared he would black out. The satisfaction lingered faintly and he groaned as he pumped into her a few more times. His arms gave out and he collapsed onto her. He faintly wondered if he was making it hard for her to breath but the thought was quickly shot from his head as her arms circled his shoulders and she placed feather light kisses to his damp temple and cheek. He rolled them over, pulling out of her as he did so and settled her on him, so she was using his shoulder as a pillow. She sighed contentedly and snuggled closer to him. Thinking he was asleep already she whispered to him. "I love you Matt." A small smile played on her lips as she fell asleep. He pulled her close and rested his chin on her head.

"I love you too Andy." He placed a light kiss to her head and then fell into a peaceful sleep. It wasn't until around midnight that Mat awoke. He curled his arm and was startled to realize that Andy wasn't where she was supposed to be. He sat up and looked around the room. He saw all her clothes still on the floor where she had left them and he stood to get dressed to go find her. How weird I can't find my shirt. Shrugging and pulling up his pants he opened the door and walked around the apartment. He saw the back door open to the balcony and got a little worried. He walked cautiously up to the open door and immediately felt an immense wave of relief as he saw Andy standing in the moonlight. His gaze swept over her body and he almost immediately felt a twitch beneath his belt. She wore only his button up shirt and the moonlight made the flimsy piece of cloth seem transparent. He walked up behind her and spoke in a low voice. "What's the matter? Why are you out here?" he wrapped his arms around her waist and settled his chin on her shoulder by her ear.

"Just looking at the stars. And thinking…of course." His breath tickled her ear when he replied.

"About what?" he started placing kisses to her neck and the little bit of shoulder exposed beneath his shirt. She shivered because of his actions.

"About…" she paused and even in the darkness of night he could see her huge blush. "About tonight." He smiled on her shoulder.

"Something good I hope." He said through kisses. She nodded and shivered again. "Cold?" he asked seductively. Blushing hotly she nodded and leaned up against him. "Want me to keep you warm?" she leaned her head away from him, giving him better access to her neck and slipped her hand to the back of his head, holding him in place as he assaulted her. She sighed out a yes but he wasn't sure if that was an answer to his question or to his actions. He smiled and pulled her towards the open door. Once inside he let go of her and shut the door. When he turned around Andy was taken by surprise by the animalistic glint in his eye. He all but pounced on her and continued his assault on her neck. She felt her knees become the consistency of jelly. The next thing she knew she was laying on her back on the floor, her ankles hooked around his waist. He stopped his attack on her neck and smiled down at her. "Thief." He said as he plucked the buttons of his shirt out of their respective holes. She looked at him with a question in her eyes.

"What?" she whispered. He smirked and kissed her collarbone.

"You stole my shirt." He said as he parted the shirt open, having plucked all the buttons loose. She smiled up at him with a mischievous look in her eyes.

"Well, I had to wear something; you wouldn't want me outside completely nude would you? Have all your neighbors see me?" She placed a kiss to his temple and flattened her hands on his chest, loving the feel of skin on skin.

"No we couldn't have that. You are for my eyes only. Andy." He kissed a path from her collarbone to her breast and began suckling and teasing the nipple. He ground his hips against her and smirked in male pride as she writhed beneath him. Her hands went to his fly and she pushed the jeans down his legs. He now rested against her core and her stomach flipped in anticipation. She brought her hands around his neck to cup his head and she leaned up and captured his lips in a searing lust-filled kiss as he slid sweetly into her slick passage. His tongue went into her mouth to coax hers into playing. She responded with astounding eagerness. He began pumping, catching her cries in his mouth. It wasn't long before her inner muscles began to throb and she cried out as the pleasure cascaded through her body again for the third time that night. The cry that erupted from his throat was carnal and dare she think it…animalistic. He rolled over and she rested on top of him, neither bothering to move from the others body. She looked deep into his eyes and felt a large lump in her throat at seeing the possessiveness there. He sat up taking her with him and then stood with ease and carried her to her room.

~~3 a.m. Matt's apartment~~

It was still dark when Matt awoke to Andy shaking him with a frightened tone in her voice. "Matt. Wake up. I think there's someone in the house." He jerked awake at her words and flung himself in the direction of his pants. He dressed with amazing speed and threw open the door. He walked cautiously into the dark living room. Andy followed behind closely. They spotted a dark figure moving around by the balcony.

"Hold it right there buddy." Matt said calmly as the crook jerked up and focused the flashlight he carried on him and then on Andy. The crook began to laugh.

"Andy. Wow, you're actually alive. Ha. Everyone thought you were dead. Guess I can go tell your dad he can stop celebrating now that his bitch of daughter is still actually alive." He paused and noticed that she was wearing Matt's button up shirt. "He'll be even more thrilled when I tell him that you've become even more of a whore then before." She stared in confusion until the crook focused the light on his face.

"Johnny? What the…What are you doing here?" she asked with a shaky voice. He looked her up and down before answering.

"I could ask you the same thing but I already know the answer. You're being our little slut as usual aren't you? Couldn't wait `til you were eighteen could you? Had to go and be even more of a whore then before." She covered her ears.

"Stop it. I was not. Why are you being so cruel to me? We used to be like brother and sister. Don't you remember?" he laughed out now.

"Yea. So what? You ripped my heart out. I loved you and did everything for you. Got you a job, gave you rides to and from school, and I even dated the floozy Michelle for you. I was good to you. And you just say no. Bitch. Oh and by the way, before I go, no one misses you." Her eyes were full of tears, and Matt had to fist his hands to keep from knocking this punk out. "We replaced you at the restaurant; your teachers haven't even noticed your absence. Your dad…don't get me started."

"What?" she asked dreading the answer but having to know.

"Sold all your crap and moved in some woman who's about half his age and they're gonna get married next week. Isn't life great when you're not around? You were just an excess. No one needed you, and we can't stop partying now that you're gone." He smiled at her evilly and then hopped out the window. Andy collapsed to the ground and began to sob.

"He's getting married? They don't even realize I'm gone?" she felt Matt come down to her and scoop her up in his arms. He held her comfortingly while she sobbed into his shoulder.

"Andy. Don't listen. He's just bitter. I'm sure your dad is sick with worry and scared to death that something happened to his little girl." She shook her head violently against his shoulder.

"No. He was planning on kicking me out and making me live with my mom. It's actually no surprise that he would sell all my stuff and move in some woman. I was excess; baggage. I wasn't needed…" she paused through tears and violent sobs, and looked at him with horror filled eyes. "I'm nothing but a burden to anyone who's around me." He grabbed her shoulders and shook her slightly.

"You are no burden. Stop it right now. Andy, you are…special. I know for a fact that you cant be a burden to anyone, because you've lived with me for months now and have been perfect." He planted a light kiss to her lips and picked her shaking form up in his arm. He held her close and walked to her room placing her and himself on the bed. She cried herself to sleep, and, once she stopped shaking and sobbing, Matt calmed down and was able to relax and sleep.
