Author Note: Hard to believe that I write all this stuff, huh? This is technically using the characters in X-Men Legends, and any other X-Men characters I know of I've slipped in here. So now, read and drop a review!

Disclaimer: I don't own X-Men, or any of the characters in this fic except Aiyen. So please don't sue me, I don't have the money to pay you.

"Aiyen, watch out!" I remember hearing a voice shout at me, then a sentenals fist slammed into my side. I don't know how many hours passed after I blacked out, but the next thing I remember was the X - Men standing over me.

"AHH!" I screamed before scrambling away, my back hitting some one's leg. I looked up, right into my brother's angry face. "Remy?" He glared at me before walking away, so I charged the first thing I found ( a stick ) and threw it at his head.

"OW! Why you little -" He pulled a card out of his pocket, glaring at me with a look that said 'In your face, sis!' I glared back at him until one of the guys standing around told him off for threatening me. "I'm not hurtin' her, am I Aiyen?"

"That may be true Gambit, but Professor Xavier said she has to be in one peice when she got there. That means no blowing her up, understood?" "Yes, sir." "By the way, I'm Scott." The guy who told Remy off said to me.

"I gotta question... uh, Scott." He looked at me. "What t'hell is goin' on around here?" "You are a mutant, we saw you charge that stick. We are the X-Men, we are all mutants as well." "I may be southern, but I ain't dumb city boy. I meant why are y'all after me, I ain't done nothin' wrong... I don' t'ink." "You haven't, Professor Xavier wants you to come stay at the Xavier Institute before the Brotherhood get's ahold of you." "Little late for t'at, t'ey al'eady found me." They all exchanged a glance. "What?"

"C'mon Aiyen, t'sooner you git back ta t'school t'better." Remy grabbed the back of my shirt and drug me along, throwing me where he wanted me to go. I bit his hand and dodged a charged card, smirking when I saw that I'd drawn blood. Remy rubbed his hand and glared at me the rest of the trip, but stayed far enough away from me to where I couldn't bite him again. "What are you lookin' at?" He said to Scott, glaring at him now.

"Be nice, Gambit. It's not our faults that you don't get along with your sister, so stop taking it out on us." I stuck my tounge out at him, the lady talking noticing. "And you be nice to Gambit, understand?"

"You ain't my mama, so I ain't gotta listen to ya." I said, earning a glare from Scott and Remy. "Damn, I shouldda stayed in t'bayou where I belonged." "Why, sugah?" "Cause, ain't no one stopped glarin' at me since I got hea! Who are you, anyhoo?" "Ah'm Rogue, nice ta meet ya." "I don' like t'city anyhoo, too many buildings." "Ah'll agree with ya on that one." "Betcha t'is place ain't even got a park." I looked around at the asphault and concrete around me, then looked at the people I was walking with. "Is any one ever gonna tell me who y'all are?"

"After Professor Xavier gets to talk to you, we'll all introduce ourselves." "But I wanna know now, lady." "You and Gambit are definately related, no doubt about it." Both me and Remy growled angrily, earning the first real smile I'd seen out of anybody all day. "So... Who's t'is Professer Xavier guy?" Everyone glared at me, so I just stopped asking questions. This 'school' they had been talking about was huge, one of the biggest buildings I'd seen in New York. "Whoa!" I followed them all inside, getting met with more people and the smell of breakfast. "Bobby, have you seen Professor Xavier?"

"Uh, I think he's in his office. Why? Did you guys lose the new kid Jean?" Scott glared at the guy who spoke, making everyone laugh. I didn't get it, but I was glad I wasn't the only person that made this guy mad. "Hey, who's the girl?" I glared daggers at Bobby, proof that I already didn't like him.

"Aiyen, this is Bobby Drake. He and Gambit are the resident 'Ladies Men' of the X-Men. You'll watch out for this one if you know what's good for you." "I al'eady don' like 'im, so no worries t'ere ma'am." "You don't have to call me "Ma'am" Aiyen, I'm just Jean around here." I was still glaring at Bobby, then suddenly went flying into a wall. "OW! Gad dammit, who's idea was t'at?!" "Logan's, and it sounded like fun. Sorry Aiyen, are you okay?"

"After bein' thrown into a wall, I doubt it." I dove at the person who spoke, a big guy with black hair. Throwing as many punches as I could, every person in the room had gathered around and taken sides. "Hey! I've got a teenager beating me up! Get off me, mini Cajun!" The room suddenly fell silent when an older guy came in and cleared his throat, except for the sounds of my fists colliding with the guys face. I looked up when I noticed the silence, then blushed and got up.

"Feeling better, Aiyen?" I blushed darker, glancing at the guy I was pounding. "Now, are you okay Logan?" "Never... better... Professor." He choked out, getting slowly to his feet. "Professor? Oh... Shit!" "Not the first impression many people are proud of, but judging by your expression you had every right to attack Logan. Now, if you will come with me Aiyen I'll explain everything." I followed the guy quickly, hearing the sounds of about half the group collecting money. "It seems that they placed bets on your fight with Logan, didn't they?"

"I guess..." I said, looking around and trying to pick out the sounds outside from the shouting in the other room. "You must be t'at Professor Xavier guy everyone seems ta worship, 'ight?" I decided to test my own telepathic abilities, but couldn't crack the guys mental defenses. "Wha' t'hell?" I said to myself, obviously loud enough for him to hear.

"I don't recommend trying to read my mind, Aiyen. For two good reasons, the first being you won't be able to. It's not a good idea to read minds without permission, you can ask Rogue about that if you don't believe me." "Al'ight, I can do t'at. So... why am I here suh?" "You recently worked with the Brotherhood, we could use that kind of inside information to our advantage. And Gambit said it would be a good idea to keep a close eye on you, and what better way to do so than for you to join the X-Men?" I shrugged and continued looking around, hoping to see some of the other weird-o's in this school. "If you have any questions, you can ask either myself or Cyclops whom I believe you met earlier as Scott."

"Okay... When's lunch?" Professor Xavier laughed, and I managed a weak laugh before pain shot through my left side. The injury from the sentenal earlier finally catching up to me. "Is there something wrong, were you injured escaping from the Brotherhood?" "You could say that, Professor. Damn, I'll bet my side is one giant bruise." "Go visit Logan, he might be able to help with anything broken. If he refuses because you hit him, tell him it's Professors orders." "Gotcha... and thanks." I walked slowly back into the room, noticing Logan's injuries had healed. "Professor Xavier told me to find you about fixing this..." I pulled the left side of my shirt up, revealing that my side WAS in fact one giant bruise.

"What happened to you, kid?" Logan asked, so I explained the whole ordeal that lead to my passing out in the middle of New York City. Starting with Wolf's ( the guy who shouted at my before the sentenal knocked me out ) plan to escape the Brotherhood and ending with them finding me, passed out on the street like a drunk. "Alright, since the Professor says so. Now hold still... this might sting a bit." I flinched in pain, closing my eyes to prevent changing to my other form and losing it. It's been six hours, making it pretty close to midnight, and my side hasn't stopped burning since. Oh well, I'll get to sleep eventually... I hope.

So... yes? No? Maybe? Tell me... It'll get better!
