4: Izumi vs. Gorintai
When Queen Axala learned that the Future Guardian Izumi has changed her best Black Goddess, Qaidra, into a human woman, she was upset.
“Another one of our Black Goddesses has failed to capture the Izumi girl,” she said to Gorintai, the first Dark Avatar. “Go down to Earth and try to get rid of that girl, but don’t fail me this time. Understood?”
“Understood, your highness,” Gorintai said.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, Izumi and Natsuko were watching their favorite TV show when they heard something crashing upstairs.
“I’ll go up there and check it out, Natsuko,” Izumi said. When she got upstairs to her room, she saw Chibineko (in her human form; she looks like Izumi, except for her hair color) fighting a dark figure who mysteriously entered Izumi’s house. The dark figure saw Izumi and then disappeared the same way it entered.
“I don’t know how he got in or out of your house, Izumi,” Chibineko said as she went back into her cat form. “That guy that I was fighting is actually a Dark Avatar named Gorintai.”
“Who’s Gorintai?” Izumi asked her. “Gorintai is a Type 1 Avatar, like me.”
“A Type 1 Avatar?”
“Yes, there are five different levels for each Avatar,” Chibineko explained. “They range from the Type 1 varieties to the very elusive, but most difficult, Type 5 variations.”
“Can you tell me how to fight a Dark Avatar?” Izumi said. “Well, I could explain to you how to fight a Dark Avatar,” Chibineko told her. So she explained Izumi how to battle a Dark Avatar.
The next day, Izumi (again, in her Star Guardian form) was in the playground, waiting for Gorintai to arrive. Then, she saw a black weasel scurrying about.
“So you must be Gorintai, aren’t you?” Izumi asked the weasel.
“Foolish girl, you don’t know who you’re dealing with,” Gorintai said as he went into his human form.
“I’ve been waiting for you,” Izumi said slyly.
“Well then, let’s pick up the pace, shall we? Crimson Blades!” Izumi saw that she was the target for the Crimson Blades.
“Sun Sword!” She then used her Sun Sword to deflect the attack. Impressed by Izumi’s swordsmanship, Gorintai said to her, “So, Izumi, do you want a swordfight? Zeta Sword!”
“Bring it on, Gorintai!” Izumi responded. Soon, she and Gorintai engaged in a long swordfight which lasted about an hour. After that, an exhausted Izumi (still holding the Sun Sword) used a different attack on Gorintai, who is also worn out.
“Solar Crash!” she said. The attack then made an effective impact on Gorintai.
“Now to finish you off, Gorintai. Star Guardian Banishment!” And soon, Gorintai was banished.
“Yeah, I did it! I banished an Avatar,” Izumi said victoriously.
