Kiba jumped onto the back of a demon and quickly broke his neck. Before the demon's body hit the ground Kiba had already jumped off and continued running in the direction that Alex had told him to go. Hold on lass, I'm coming to get you. Kiba thought as he rounded a corner and broke through the wooden door, gaining entrance into the castle. He turned right at one of the corridors as he caught whiff of a familiar scent. It’s the lass! The Lord was right, she is here. Just as Kiba started in the direction where he believed Brittany to be he heard a loud crash coming from the front of the castle and several demons yelling. I'd better hurry. There's no telling how much trouble the Lord will get himself into if I'm not there. Not too mention how much worse he'll be wounded either.
Kiba rushed to an area that was guarded by two female demon’s. Both of them were preoccupied by the sounds of a fight and weren’t paying an attention to the advancing form of Kiba. By the time they realized that someone was there Kiba was already making his move. As soon as they turned to face him Kiba launched himself at them. In one swift motion Kiba grabbed both their faces and slammed their heads into the wall behind them. Their skulls hit the wall with incredible force cracking both the walls themselves, and their own skulls. Blood spurted from their cracked skull as Kiba let their bodies fall limply to the floor. He then ran his hands across the thick iron door that kept him from Brittany.
“Lass, lass are you all right? ” Kiba yelled as he put his ear to the door to try and listen for her.
Kiba! Kiba, oh my God it’s really him! Dammit, I can’t call to him. Please don’t leave, I’m in here. Brittany thought as she frantically tried to scream despite the restraint over her mouth. Kiba, get me out of here! If he’s here, that must mean that Alex is here too!
Kiba could make out the muffled sounds coming from Brittany as he dug his claws into the door and started to lift it up. “Hold on lass, I’m coming for you.”

Celine watched, waiting for Alex to fall to the ground. She was prepared for anything, anything except for Alex to stand there smirking as he started towards her.
“What’s going on? I said yameru!” Celine yelled as she started to back away slowly from the advancing form of Alex.
“Please Celine I really can’t believe you haven’t figured I out yet. Surely you must’ve realized that someone such as myself would’ve figured out a way to get around your spell. Was my acting at the council meeting really that convincing, or are you really just that stupid?” Alex said with a smirk as he quickly grabbed Celine by the throat and lifted her into the air. “Now Celine, let’s talk about how you’ve been treating a certain human girl who happens to mean a lot to me.”
Celine gasped for air as Alex’s grip on her throat tightened. “How about lets not!” Celine gasped. Celine let out a feral yell as her eyes began to glow red. She grabbed onto Alex’s arm with both her hands as she raised both her legs to his side. In a blur of motion she ruthlessly proceeded to kick him furiously in his ribs until she finally flipped out of his grip. She landed a few feet away from him as her teeth began to turn into fangs. “Seeing as how you’ve managed to nullify the subjugation spell, have you also found a way to break the archmage’s seal?”
“No, but trust me, you’ll be one of the first to know when I do.” Alex replied calmly as he got ready to attack.
“Well then, I’ll just have to ensure that you never do.” Celine declared. Her clothes began to rip as Celine let out another feral yell. Suddenly wings burst out from her back causing her dress to rip to pieces. Her skin turned into a dark grey as her dark red hair flew wildly around her body. Her taloned hands raked across her body revealing dark black tattoo’s that covered her face, breast, hands, and feet. She glared evilly at Alex as her blood red lips glistened. “Its been awhile since I’ve had to take this form. If I remember correctly, the last time I had to was when we drug you out of the chamber. When we drug you out kicking and screaming. You’d completely lost your mind and reverted to the mental stage of a feral animal.”
“I remember that well Celine. I also remember that it was Zanatos that suggested I be put in there. Evidently it was convenient that you had kept the chamber in perfect working order even though it was supposed to have been destroyed.” Alex said with obvious disgust. “You put me through hell and back in there. I believe I owe you for that.”
“You know I can kill you with ease Kane. Why do you even bother?” Celine threatened.
“Simple, I owe you a hell of a lot of payback!” Alex yelled as he launched himself at Celine. Alex’s claws struck where Celine should’ve been, but instead all he hit was air. Celine launched herself into the air and ricocheted off of the wall aiming for Alex. Alex quickly twisted his body as Celine’s claws raked through his clothes just barely missing his skin. Alex struck at Celine’s back, but was knocked into the wall by one of Celine’s wings. Celine whirled around and launched herself at him again. Alex dug his nails into the wall behind him and flipped himself over Celine’s claws. Alex propelled himself off of the wall and sent Celine flying with a swift kick to the chest. Celine hit the opposite wall cracking it with the force of her impact. Alex didn’t give her time to get up as he launched himself at her again. Alex grabbed her throat and and launched her through the wall sending her flying into the grand piano of inside the opposite room. Celine flipped over the piano and in one fluid motion picked it up and threw it Alex.
Alex quickly decimated the piano with a single strike as it shattered remains flew about the room. Celine launched herself at Alex again, this time she managed to draw blood as she struck his right shoulder. Alex twisted his body with the attack and grabbed Celine’s hair with his left hand. He yanked hard on her hair, causing Celine to fly backwards into a book shelf. Celine flipped off of the ground and landed on top of the book shelf as she glared daggers at Alex.
“That...was a mistake.” Celine said, her voice full of anger. “As you are perfectly aware I’ve withheld using my crystal to try and make this a fair fight, but I really don’t have the time for fair fights. So, lets see how well you do when I take it up a notch.”
“Fuck....” Alex said as he readied himself for anything. I was hoping she wouldn’t use that! Dammit, guess it was too much to ask for. Now things are going to get really interesting around here.
Celine smiled wickedly at Alex as the tattoo’s on her body began to glow a soft fiery red color that seemed to match her hair. Her wings also began to glow softly as symbols appeared on them and began to glow the same color. “Now, you will die Kane.”
“Gee, I haven’t heard that before now have I Celine?” Alex asked sarcastically. She’s right though, with the crystal increasing her power I’m pretty much fucked. No sooner had Alex thought those words than a strong gust of wind passed by him. Alex coughed up blood while he stood in shock at what just happened. A large ‘X’ appeared across Alex’s chest, his white shirts fell from his body in a bloodied clump as Alex tried to block out the pain. Shit that hurt! I was expecting her to be that fast. If it wasn’t for my battle suit I’d be sliced to ribbons right now.
Celine’s laughter filled Alex’s ears as he turned around to face her. “My my Kane you are a sight for sore eyes. I can’t believe that you were so easily wounded. Your reactions are slow my dear. Here, let me speed things up.”
Alex prepared himself for another attack. He felt his chest tighten up as he realized how much strain he was putting on his body with all the fighting. If this goes on much longer my wounds are going to open back up. That’s just what I need right now. Its bad when my wounds have wounds.
Even as Alex thought this his body automatically tensed when Celine lunged at him. Alex dug both his hands deep into Celine’s right arm, but still they were not enough to stop the force of Celine’s arm stabbing Alex in the chest. Alex gasped in pain as more blood trickled down his lips.
“You disappoint me Kane. I would’ve thought you would more of a challenge than this.” Celine mused. It was then that she became splattered with blood as Alex let out another gasp as his entire body began bleeding.
Dammit, my wounds. Fuck, this is all I needed. I’ve got to quit fooling around and fight her. Alex thought even as the pain began to roll over his body in waves. Some rescue this is turning out to be. I hope Kiba’s having a hell of a lot better luck than I am.
“Kane I can’t believe you. How dare you insult me by coming here trying to fight me and you already wounded. Did you really think fighting me would be so easy that your wounds wouldn’t matter?” Celine asked her face contorted in rage and wonder.
Alex actually smirked as he stared up at her with glazed eyes. “I didn’t come her to fight you Celine. I came her to save Brittany. Fighting you was just a bonus.” Alex said. In one fluid motion Alex wretched his right hand free from Celine’s arm and drove it deep into her stomach. He then pulled her hand out his own chest with his left hand. Without hesitation Alex threw Celine towards the adjacent wall to put some space in between them. Celine was shocked at Alex’s burst of strength and was unable to react in time to save herself from hitting the wall. She stared up in disbelief only to see Alex standing before her.
“Dammit, I forgot how persistent you could be. Fine then, the kid gloves come off. You’re a dead man now.” Celine yelled as she lunged at Alex. Celine couldn’t believe the speed at which Alex dodge her attack. He effortlessly flipped over her at the same time clawing her back with both his hands. Celine let out a gasp of pain as she turned to face him. Alex slowly turned back towards Celine showing no signs of pain or fear.
Those eyes...those eyes are the eyes of a dying man. I’ve got to end this quickly before he does something I’ll live to regret. Celine thought as she stared into Alex’s eyes. “Its been nice reminiscing with you Kane, but the time has come for us to part our ways. Have fun in hell. Give my regards to all your friends down there.” Celine said as she launched herself at Alex. Alex launched himself at her at the same time keeping his upper body low to the ground. Just as Celine prepared to strike at Alex, Alex slammed both his fist hard into the ground causing him to flip over her.
Dammit, I was too careless. It’s been too long since I’ve seen him in action and now its going to cost me. He always was more deadlier the closer to death he got. Lucky for me I have one more trick up my sleeve. Celine thought knowing that she wouldn’t be able to turn around fast enough and that her back was completely exposed to Alex. Alex ricocheted off of the wall and launched himself at Celine’s back. Alex struck fiercely at Celine in an attack that would surely have killed even her. As Alex’s claws raked through what should’ve been flesh he realized what had happened.
No! Dammit, don’t tell me she used an after image! Alex thought in horror as he hit nothing but air. Sure enough Celine’s voice came from behind him.
“Poor Kane when will you learn never to turn your back on the enemy.” Celine retorted as he prepared to launch herself at him. “Your strength alone could never defeat me.”
Without even looking back Alex smirked as he calmly replied. “Celine you know as well as I do that my strength never came from myself. My greatest strength is what led to my downfall, trusting my friends. Kiba now!”
Celine had been so focused on her and Alex’s battle that Kiba’s presence had gone unnoticed. That is, until Kiba stabbed both his hands into her back and threw her against the wall.
“Hurry my Lord. That monster won’t stay down for long.” Kiba yelled as he grabbed Alex’s cloak, the only thing not covered in Alex’s blood and ran over to him. Alex closed his eyes and calmed himself before opening them up again to see both Kiba and Brittany standing in front of him. Both of them looked at him with fear and worry in their eyes. Alex noticed the restraint around Brittany’s mouth and knew that he’d have to get that off of her, but before he could do that they’d have to get away from Celine. Even as Alex started to get up so did Celine as she looked at them with pure hate.
“You don’t really think you’ll be able to get out of here alive do you? I’ll kill you before you can even reach the door!” Celine threatened.
“That’s why we’re not going to use the door.” Alex said weakly. He quickly wrapped his arms around both Kiba and Brittany and cast a spell. “Shunkan dentatsu!”
Alex, Kiba, and Brittany were suddenly surrounded by a bright light. Just as quickly as the light appeared it dispersed, taking Alex and the others with it. Celine cursed as she hit the ground in fury.
“He can use magic! How in the hell can he do that!” Celine yelled into the empty space. Celine paled as she sensed a familiar presence behind her. “Z-Zanatos.”
“I see you allowed the woman to be taken away. How very unfortunate.” Zanatos said coldly as he looked at her. “How pathetic for someone such as yourself to be wounded by someone like him. Even if he can use magic there’s no excuse for you letting him get away. Call for the Hunter’s, he can’t have gotten far. As badly wounded as he was and transporting three people he wouldn’t be able to take them far. Also, he’ll stop and remove the girl’s restraint that will give us mor than enough time to capture them.”
“Zanatos I’m sorry I....” Celine started. She was abruptly cut off by Zanatos.
“Don’t play stupid with me! I know what you were planning to do to that girl. Your lucky I don’t put you in there! Now seeing as how this is your fault I know you’ll be more than glad to assist the Hunters in helping to look for them, won’t you Celine?” Zanatos asked coldly. Celine gulped knowing that it was an order not a question.
“Yes, of course I will.” Celine said weakly as she rose up and looked at the ground.
“Good. I too will assist in this matter to ensure that there will be no more mess ups.” Zanatos said as he walked outside.
