Fan Fiction ❯ The Last Fight, The First Kiss ❯ (3) Link Awakens ( Chapter 3 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Link’s eyes open and are red from lack of sleep. He tries to push himself off of the ground, but his arms are weak from battle and they buckle under as he tries to push up. He decides to lie there until he can gather enough strength to get up on his feet. His body is torn and it has been cut nearly all over. He almost falls back to sleep due to the loss of blood.
Something pokes him on the shoulder softly. He can’t tell what it is because he can’t move his head. But the soft tapping continues. He tries to speak, but it seems he has lost his voice again. Soon a face appears over his own. Before he can see who’s or what face it is, Zelda’s lullaby can be heard in the background making him slowly fall asleep
He whispers, “What’s going on? Where’s that coming from?”
The figure puts a finger over his mouth and quiets him telling him to hush. The voice was sweet and familiar. Link becomes calm and relaxes. Before long he can feel himself being lifted off the castle and onto a stretcher. Before long he feels his strength returning. His yes become stronger and now he can see fairies floating around his body.
He looks around to see who is carrying the stretcher, but he sees no one. He looks down under the stretcher and finds 4 deku shrubs carrying him which explains why he didn’t see anyone. He wonders why the deku shrubs are carrying him. But he decides not to question what is going on.
After a few minutes, the deku shrubs stop and the fairies disappear. He is able to sit up now, so he does so. He finds himself outside of the Hyrule castle. He looks back at the castle and sees the city of Hyrule in ruins. But why was he outside of the city. Where was he to go.
“Link it is nice to see you alive!” the voice comes from Malon who is riding Link’s horse Epona.
