Malon’s hair is blown by the wind intensifying her amazing beauty. She smiles like a goddess and looks at Link with the most beautiful eyes. Link goes into a state of trance as he stares at Malon. He shakes his head wildly to wake himself up and tries to get up from his stretcher.
Malon claps her hands and the Deku shrubs disappear under the ground. Link pushes himself off of the ground slowly making sure he won’t fall over. He looks at his body and examines himself. He finds himself to be in perfect condition as if he was never hurt. The only evidence there was any fight was due to his tattered clothing.
“It is good to see our hero still alive. But it seems your mission is not done. Even though Gannondorf has disappeared from our would… it seems some of his evil still remains in our world. You must destroy what he has left. Link you are our only hope. Please follow me to Lon Lon Ranch. There I can give you items you’ll need for your journey. Besides you need to relax.” Malon says in a quiet sweet voice.
Link nods and jumps up onto Epona behind Malon. Malon slaps Epona on the side and Epona takes off. As soon as Epona starts running, skeleton monsters come out of the ground and try to attack them. Link readies his bow and aims at the enemies.
While he aims Link asks Malon, “What’s going on? They only appear at night. How come they are out at this time of day?”
“I don’t know, but during the fight with Gannondorf, a lot of weird things have been happening. I will explain more when we get back. For now, just try to keep them off us.” Malon replies.
Link fires an arrow at the skelton and hits him dead in left eye. The skeleton disappears in a purple flame, and in its place appears three more skeletons. Link this time takes out three arrows and shoots them all at once. He manages to hit all the three skeletons and they also disappear in a purple flame.
“Good shot Link. I never knew you were that skilled in archery.” Malon comments while keeping her head straight ahead.
“You would be surprised on what I have had to learn in a few seconds just so I could get out of a dungeon. The instructions they give you on how to use the weapon isn’t very detailed.”
Malon turns around and smiles, then says, “I never knew you’d be the type to be humorous… I always figured you to be the silent type.”
“I guess you can say, that all the time I’ve been alone for these past few weeks, I finally broke out of it. It can be pretty boring being alone with no one to talk to.” Link replies with a hearty smile.
Malon smiles back and says, “If you stay here at Lon Lon Ranch, I promise you’ll never be lonely… Oh speaking of which, we are here. Get ready to get off. I’ll put Epona up. Go find daddy. He said he wanted to talk to you.”
