Chapter 4: Find the Oracle of Healing
"Ganon free...Ganon..." The voices of the Gerudos were spreading rapidly threw out the night. They had all jumped out of bed as they messenger came to them with the news. The Gerudos were in a frenzy. What if Ganon came back a demand to take charge of them again.
Sence Ganon was the only male Gerudo born he was to take charge. All the women hated him and the stories their leader Nabour told them they hated him even more. He was the main reason why the Gerudos hated men so much. He treated them like dirt, stepped on them, killed them. He was horrible, the most gorses thing that ever walked on the face of Hyrule.
The only reason why they liked Link was because he was different. He was kind and did not harm them in any way. Nor did he give any command or want anything from them but friend ship. Also Nabour seamed quite found of Link as well.
But as the Gerudos voices broke threw the silence of the dark night waiting for their leader. A Gerudo woman around the age of twenty sat in a cold dark room. Her left arm was chained to the stone wall of the room she was in. The talk of Ganon being free floated into her room and she sighed. If she was not chained to this wall she was out working hard in the hot blazing desert.
The woman had dark red hair that was pulled up into a pony tail. It passed her shoulders and went down to her butt. Her skin was tanned from the blazing sun and she had bright jade green eyes. Under her right eyes was a black tattoo of a rectangle. Then on both of her cheeks she had a tiger strip that went down to her neck. She had on an orange Gerudo outfit. Her name was Mika, no last name no middle name. They had been taken away from her, so they called her Mika.
Mika was chained to the wall for punishment. She had to be chained her every night, then bright early in the morning they would take her out into the desert and make her work. This was to go on for two years, in a few mounts she would be let off. She had broken one of the most important rule of the Gerudos. Never ever get married. Going out and having a kid was different then getting married. Mika had loved the man, and such she was punished. And another fate of hers was never to see that man again.
She was the only Gerudo that hated to be a Gerudo. She was born into this job, she never asked for it. but Nabour was not easy on her. Mika wished on the evening stars that one day they would just kill her. She did everything she could to drive Nabour to the conclusion. But she never did, Mika was just punished more and more.
Mika listen to the out side world as everyone got quite. Naboru must be coming. Thats the only time the girls shut their mouths. Mika could hardly sleep at night because her room was located next to the watch tower and those women who were at night watch were louder then anything. That had to be the only thing she hated about her punishment was the two people at the watch tower.
"Here, here! Gerudos! GANON IS FREE!" Nabour yelled and some of the Gerudos let out small shrieks or gripped on to their spears tighter. "I have received a letter form the King of Hyrule, from our messenger. Princess Zelda and The Great Shika Impa, have been up under the Talmasomre Spell and will die soon if a cure is not found! The King stated in the letter that Link will go on a quest to find the cure and to stop Ganon...again," Nabour spoke loud and with very much pride. The king was the only other man she could stand besides Link. She respect him and was going to answer back to his request he had just sent her. "But there is a thing...The King does not think Link can do this on his own. He has asked me to send on of my strongest Gerudos to aid Link!"
The Gerudos brought out into their own conversations, Mika sighed. Mika could on imagine what sap was going to go help Link fight Ganon. That was a laugh, not only did they all hate men, but they also feared Ganon so much. Mika could not care, she had no more fear, she lost it ever sence she started wishing she'd die. She really had nothing left to live for.
Mika picked up a small stone and threw it across the room. It smacked on to the out wall then bounced back towards her feet. That chatter then started to die down, Nabour must be deciding which one was to go now. All Gerudos were trained the same way, it would be a very hard choice to picky the lucky son of a bitch to go.
"With Careful though on this topic I know the perfect Gerudo to go," Nabour said and Mika laughed lightly to herself. That was a first. Nabours brain must be working extremely fast sence Ganon was mentioned. Maybe it was because she would be the first Gerudo to be killed if Ganon decided to talk a walk over here. There were low whispers every now and then as they waited for her to speak again.
"I'm going to Send Mika out!" Nabour yelled, Mika's eyes widened as they whole group of Gerudos broke out in e frezeny screaming why? OR Her? or other comments. Mika should not have been to surprised that Nabour out of all people would have picked her. Nabour knew how Mika felt about life in general, maybe Nabour would hope she would die out with Link.
Mika had only see Link once, and thats when all the Gerudos found out that it was princess Zelda who they were training. Then a few days later Mika had run away from the Gerudos. That had been the best thing she had ever done, but if she could turn back time, she never ever would have even though about doing that.
"Why Mika your greatness?" One of the Gerudos yelled. Mika recognized the voice and wanted to spit on her face. It had been her ex best friend. She had ratted on Mika, the reason why Mika was chained to the wall right now. Mika hated her guts so much, she was also one of the night watch people.
"Because, working all day has made her much stronger then all of you. Her heart had turned black need I remind you why. She is the perfect one fit to go out and destroy Ganon. Now Bring me Mika! Some one else get a horse and supplies! Ganon must be stopped!" Nabour yelled and another Gerudo walked up to Nabour.
"But what if she runs away again? We can't trust her."
"I will no hear another word! Mika is going and thats final!" Nabour said as the Gerudos went to bring back Mika. Mika looked up and smiled though no one could see her smile because she was sitting in the dark shadows. Once she destroyed Ganon with the help of Link she was not going to come back here. This time she would leave Hyrule forever.
The chain was taken off Mika's arm and she was pulled to her feet. She took one last look around the place, this was it and she hoped Nabour knew it. They forced Mika to her knees as they got to Nabour. Mika fought to make them let go of her. They did not dare let got of Mika until Nabour ordered them to. Mika jumped to her feet standing straight up.
Nabour smirked, she would be the perfect one fit to fight Ganon. If she died, she would be the perfect waist of a life. She had grown an attitude from working in the hot sun for almost two long hot years. She would have been the perfect Gerudo warrior if she did not have her hatred for the Gerudos. Nabour did not blame her for having that hatred because all the rest in her shoes would have acted the same. But the rules were rules and she was not going to bend them for anyone.
"Everyone! Leave us! NOW! I must see Mika off!" Nabour threw her arms out to her side and the Gerudos either went back to bed or if they were night watches they went back to their post. Mika stood paicently waiting for Nabour to let her go, let her go to her freedom. Nabour then walked up to Mika and put her arms on her shoulders. Even in the moonlight there was bid tone difference in their skin color. It had been a while sence Nabour went out into the sun light and it was easily spotted.
"If you die in battle or Kill Ganon you shall become a Gerudo Hero, such this is why I'm sending you out. You lost to much two years ago Mika and this will help gain it back," Nabour was a little found of Mika, she was rebel and strong spirited. She did feel a little bad for almost draining the life out of her two years ago. Mika also was the one of the Gerudos that never gave up, even if all seamed hopeless, she'd fight tell her dying breath.
"Link you would care if I had any friends or not!" Mika spat at Nabour, like most of the Gerudos Mika had a light accent (an England accent but a light one), so of the Gerudos have heavy accents, it all would depend on who their trainer was.
"Just except that I fell a bit sorry for what happened two years ago! Not only were you ratted out but by your dearest and most trusted friend," Thats the only reason why Nabour had went light on her punishment and why she had not killed Mika and held respect for her still. Nabour did not like rats, or back stabers. But there was nothing the Gerudo laws about a back staber and sence she had announced it to all the Gerudos, Nabour had to do something or lose her place as leader.
"You could never understand," Mika said and Nabour let go of her. You could never change this girls mind either. Nabour stepped back as Mika sucked in a deep breath of air then let it out slowly. She was starting to hope she'd be killed sooner or later. She hated life, but most of all she hated her own life. "Once I kill Ganon, with or with out the Help of Link, you shall never see me ever again."
"If thats your wish, but if you just leave now, run away from your mission, your last call as a Gerudo, you shall live a long ever lasting hell until your death Day Mika. Do what you want when Ganon is killed or you life is taken by him of his minions," Nabour forewarned Mika, Mika looked at her with the utter most discuses. She may not have been the best Gerudo but she knew how to obey her orders and what she was meant to do. She was not stupid.
"I swear by the moon, that you shall never ever again see my face after this night. You might hear bout my Nabour but you shall never see me again," Mika said as she turned and started walking towards the horse. It was brown horse, the Gerudo color for warrior. The horse was saddled up with supplies and everything. Mika hosted herself up and on to the back of the horse. With out a second though Mika kicked off and the horse started running off and out of Gerudo Valley.
"I sure hope you know what your doing Mika, don't go and get yourself killed," Nabour said as she turned quickly and headed towards her room. She had to make sure she was ready if Ganon was going to attack them like he attacked the Princess.
Malon had managed to get Karzon into the Castle, just in time to hear Link Screaming. This was not good. She had made it to late. People rushed to Malons and Karzon's aid. After hearing the hero scream people started rushing upstairs.
A guard had escorted Malon and Karzon down to the lifter shafts so he would not have to walk up all the stairs in the condition he was in. When they got to the Shafts it was only a matter of moments before they got to the stop of the castle. Karzon had woken up and was still a bit dizzy. He remember exactly what had happened and that he was now missing an arm.
"Leave us!" Karzon said, he sounded as if he were extremely drunk. He walked like he was drunk as well. Malon had a hard time holding him upright. The Guard gave them and funny look and Karzon motioned again for him to go away. Malon then grabbed the pendent around Karzons neck and showed it to the guard.
"He's a Shika! Do as he says!" Malon snapped and once he heard the word Shika he was gone. Malon smiled she knew that would have worked. She then helped Karzon in to the shaft and set him on the floor. He mounded in pain as Malon pulled on the up switch. The shafted then started to move upwards.
"How did you...?" Karzon said not finding enough strength to talk. Malon bent down to him. The half naked Shika man, She smiled, at least his arm had stopped bleeding. It was not very pretty to look at but none the less it stopped bleeding.
"What? See you flying out a hole in the wall, or drag you out of the mote? One I used on of my five senses, the other was quite a trick, with all the clothes you had on. Don't you Shika's ever get hot?" Malon asked as she brushed her hair back with her fingers. She hated these lifter shafts but they did come in some handy. But what if they shaft stopped moving for the line broke. They'd die. She shuddered at the though and hoped everyone was still alive.
The Castle had been filed with the mournful scream From their Hero Link. Something had happened to Zelda, thats all she knew. Something really bad, Malon put her hand over her eyes to keep herself from crying. This was not her fault she came late. It was not her fault they kicked Link out of the castle every night. She sniffed back her tears and wiped at her eyes just in cause any tears had slipped by her.
"No I meant...how did you get past the castle gates?" Karzon asked, he had his eyes shut, it made him feel more stronger then he really was. He was finally regaining all the blood he has lost, ever sence she had healed his arm. He also took slow and even deep breaths.
"With Links help," Malon lied, she was not about to tell him what she really had done. If the night guards find her she would be in a neck deep of trouble. Malon Bent down next to Karzon as the lifter shaft stopped moving. There were loads of people up here now, Link would always tell Malon how no one would go to the top floors of the castle. The guard who took them to the shafts said that the medic room was upstairs and it would be wise to take Karzon up there.
Malon was very bugged that they would have the medical care room all the way on the top floor. She though the people who worked at the castle were spouse to have half a brain at least. This did not show any type of brain what so ever. The people would be easier to reach and if they had to get out of the castle it would be a simple task not a difficult one.
"If Link helped you, then how did you hurt your hands?" Karzon asked as he opened his eyes. He could see a lot better now. His little breathing trick had worked, a little any ways. Not only did he saw her marks on her hands but he felt her pain. Something he could not control.
His mother had always told him he had a gift to feel other peoples emotions. With out them telling him, he knew that their hands were hurt, were tired. Lonely, lost. With out them even showing any sings of it. Then there were times when Karzon could not feel anything unless these emotions were showed to him. He did not know how to control this, it would be a useful power on his side.
Malon looked at Karzon, she did not know how to answer his question. So she just walked down the halls. Sometimes she had to stop and ask if she was heading in the right direction. She had only been in the lower levels of the castle so this place was a whole new world to her. She felt a little bit bad for acting like she was ignoring the poor hurt Shika who just lost his arm. But that question was not going to be answered right now.
"Move I have a hurt man- Shika Man," Malon said to a guard who was standing guard in front of the medical room. He moved out of the way and even opened the door for her. It was not that bad to travel around with Karzon, at least the guards did what they were told any ways.
There were not many people in the room at all. Zelda was laying on one bed, Link was right next to her bed with his head burred in his arms. From what Malon could tell he was crying. Impa was on the opposite side of the room on another bed. The King was sitting in a chair next to her. Then there were two doctors in the room as well. They were chatting quietly to each other.
Malon smiled slightly as the doctors looked over at her. The King looked over at her as well. But Link did not move from his spot of show any signs of moving. The doctors rushed over to her and Karzon. They took a hold of Karzon and pushed Malon out of the way. Malon cursed softly to herself, she would fight tell the end if they pushed her out of the room.
"Rude...." Malon said a bit loud as the doctors motioned for Karzon to sit down on another bed that was in the room. The instant Malons voice ran threw Links ears he shot up from his seat. He looked at Malon and she felt really, extremely bad for Link. He had been crying. His face was full of tears, it was red and he looked like he had not slept in years. "Link this is so not your fault, so I don't even want you to think it!" She said, she hopped he was not thinking that any ways.
Link ran over to her and hugged her. He had almost tripped over a chair on the way but he managed to stay on his feet. He started crying again and Malon rubbed his back. She also could not tell from where she was standing how Impa and Zelda were hanging on. If they were dead or what had happened. A few tears then started running down her face. She could not help it when the people around here were sad and crying she was to.
Malon kept repeating over and over to Link that it was not his fault. He could have done nothing to prevent this. Witch was true, either way he would have been out side or possibly thrown in jail for re-entering the castle when he was not spouse to. A small anger was growing inside of her, she was never the person to show her anger, she had good control over this. But this castle was so no organized. She knew Impa and Karzon were strong Shika warriors. But They were not the ones who defeated Ganon, Link was, he was the bloody hero he should have rights to the castle when ever he wanted, day or night. Then Malon though about the guards, that burred her fire of anger even stronger. She could not keep it in any longer. She was in the presents of the King he would have to hear her out.
"This would never have happened if your ass-hole guards would have let me in, in the first place!" Malon said letting go of Link and pointing her finger at the king. "I was there! I saw the fucking door of time open! I saw the mist warrior walk out of the temple! I HEARD Ganon tell him to Kill Zelda and they diyined me an entrance to the castle! If you don't believe me Ask Karzon! He was there at the Temple with me, then he left right before it happened. So There is the proof that I was there!"
"Malon please..." Link said and Malon shook her head no. This was not going to go untold. She did not care now if she was thrown in jail for the rest of her life. As long as they replaced the guards at the gate at night time she did not care.
"I tried everything in my power to get here and warn you all! Because as you can see Zelda was not the only one hurt here! Impa is there! Karzon lost an arm and could have been killed, drowned if I had not pulled him out of the mote!" Malon yelled "I had to climb on the vines up the wall! Me! I Malon Jade Romania had to sneak in to this castle to give you this information! I did totally something against my mind, against the LAW! To tell you this because your son of a bitch guards would not even LOOK at the Temple!"
"Malon Romania, Talons your father right?" The King asked as he stood up. Malon took in a deep breath, now she was starting to regret saying everything she just did. This man had the power in the tip of his little finger to have her killed, thrown in jail for disrespect to the king.
"Please don't bring my father into this," Malon said as she bowed her head. The King shook his head as he walked over to Malon. He then gently took her hand into his own. Malon was a bit baffled but she did not dare question him. She had already screamed at him, using a hurtful tone of voice towards him. He felt a bit more comforted. Link then Put his hand on her shoulder. At least she knew she was not going to be killed. Link, nor no one else in the room would let the king do any harm to her, well maybe the doctors but that was it.
"Don't worry my dear, I just need the names for the people I need to give my deepest graduated to. You risked everything to try and save my daughter. Thank you, for that effort to save her," The King said and then he started crying. Malon now felt really bad. She had never see someone with such a high authority start crying. But then he was a father, king or not king he felt just like everyone else. "You might not have known this Malon, but be and your father Grew up together, So much we are still a like no wonder we were such good friends. We both lost our wives whom our only daughters were named after. Both of our daughters are strong willed and un stoppable. He raised you well, thank you again for all your effort."
Malon was stunned by this new piece of information. Her father grew up with the king? But how was that so, her father hardly left the ranch. Unless the King was like Zelda and went to the Ranch every day. But then Her father had also never told her she was named after her mother. Malons eyes then got watery again as the tears ran down her cheeks. She bushed them away.
"Is there any where we can chat alone?" Link asked the King and he nodded, he pointed to a door on the side off the room then walked back over to his chair he was sitting in before. The king did not hey gray hair but Malon though after all this was over that he would have it.
Link then took Malons hand and they walked over to the door. He opened it and Let Malon walk in first. He knew she was confused about finding about her father and the king right then and he was going to tell her what he had found out today. It might clear her mind a little and set her at ease. He did not want everyone to be shattered like he was right now. He hated the feeling and did not want anyone else to feel the way he did.
Malon took a seat in a chair that was in the room as Link slowly shut the door. There was a single candle in this room. Link then pulled a chair over next to Malon and took a seat. They were both very quite for a few minutes then Link cleared his voice and spoke up.
"Your questioning the idea about the king and your father being friends?" Link asked as he tried to dry his eyes. It had been so long sence he ever had a reason to cry that he just could not stop the tears from coming. Malon nodded her head, as she pushed her hair behind her ears. She hardly every did that, but she just felt the need to do it right then.
"I don't understand...." Malon said and Link placed his other hand that was not used for wiping his tears on Malons knees. He was not really in the mood to think bout his parents nor what they had done to each other, but if it helped someone he was willing to shed some more tears. Malon was almost like family to him.
"This king, the King of Hyrule was not born into the royal family Malon...he...he, he was the mayor of the Hyrule castle town before he became king. Thats, I'm guessing why he was best friends with your father when they were younger," Link said and Malon looked at him with her mouth hanging open slightly. She knew the King and Link did not have a kind of bound so she was now really wondering how he found this out.
"How did you find this out....Zelda?" Malon asked and Link shook his head no. Malon then hushed down and waited to see if Link would tell her how he found this out. Link then took a deep breath then closed his eyes.
"No, Impa took me into my memory so I could see my mother. But I found out more then I wanted. My father was King before the King now...my father killed my mother, he was the reason for the war back in the day. Impa killed him and Zelda's father took over the throne. Zelda's mother Zelda was a Shika and Impas best friend. She was also friends with my mother as well," Link said and this gave Malon a good shock. She then grabbed his arm. This day had went from crazy to insane in a matter of seconds.
"Your father! The king? Impa killed him? Link please tell me what was your mothers name?" Malon asked as she though of her uncle. Link looked at her and wondered why that would make any difference. But he figured he should answer her question.
"Pomdima...my mothers name was Pomdima why?" Link asked, Malon let go of Links arm and covered her mouth before she started screaming. She got up from her seat and started walking back and forth. This was to much.
"No...it can't be true, your Mother CAN'T BE POMDIMA!" Malon yelled and Link put his finger to his mouth to hush her.
"Why whats going on what don't I know?" Link asked and Malon had to take in deep breaths it sound like she was gasping out of breath. This was to much. Was there a way Link could have heard wrong. But then Pomdima. Malon fell to her knees on the ground.
"Pomdima...is my aunt...." Malon cried out loud "My fathers twin brothers wife Pomdima!"
"WHAT! How can that be true Pomdima my mother was the kings Mistress!" Link protested as he jumped out of his chair and bent down next to Malon. She was now crying really hard, from the shock the emotion the fact that Link was possibly related to her if they were talking about the same woman. But once link told her that his mother was the Kings mistress she knew it was true.
"The Kings mistress but not his Wife! Pomdima was married to my uncle! My fathers twin brother Balon!" Malon said trying not to yell. Tears then started coming out of Links eyes, both his parents were messed up. His mother had cheated on her husband with his father who ended up killing her in the end. Was that why his father had hated him so much and did no consider him his son. Because what would he do if his real wife found out?
"Both my parents were jerks..." Link said softly "The hell! How did I end up being the hero of Hyrule?" Link said and Malon quickly noticed the spot link was putting himself into. He was now defiantly going to start blaming everything on himself.
"Link! It was my uncles Fault. Before he moved away with my cousin Jade. My uncle was yelling and fighting with My aunt Pomdima. He started throwing stuff at her and she had enough. She left him and I guess got with the King. My Uncle was torn by his own actions he took Jade and left. He came by last year and told me and my father this. Jade Malon Romania was with him thats when my father had told him that Pomdima was killed. Pomdima was a great woman.....don't second guess her Link please don't!"
"Malon..." Link said softly as Malon wiped her eyes. Malon hugged him she knew they were both thinking the same thing. She had always wanted to know, she never dreamed this could be true. That the two of them were so a like but yet different.
"Were related, cosines...." Malon and Link said together. Malon hugged him tightly. No wonder link always felt like family, he was family. To bad Jade of Balon were no around to meet Link. The Hero of Hyrule related to a farmer girl and her father. This was almost like a dream, but the difference between a dream and real life was, Malon was not going to wake up from this not manage able dream.
Karzon sat on his bed very glum. The King had left the room to write a letter to someone. The doctors also had left. So he was in a room with Zelda and Impa who were passed out. He was a very bad protector, he had let Zelda down something he promised not to do. He trained and trained and trained, just to get his arm cut off and thrown out a window. not only that he lost fifty percent of his clothes.
"Tomakie, you were right I'm a failure..." Karzon whispered to himself. Tomakie was someone he loved to hate. She was a pain in the ass stuck up Shika woman who used to live next door to him and his mother. Then when ever his father came around. Tomakie was a year older then Karzon. Karzons mother would just tell him she was mad because she was born a woman and Karzon was born a male so he got most of the attention when he was growing up.
Btu when he was getting ready to leave on his mission to protect Hyrule Tomakie said he would fail, not only that but they would kicked out of Hyrule as well. And so far he had up set Great Impa more the once. The Hero hated him, he did not know how Zelda of the King felt just yet. Then he had let the fake Link beat up Zelda and Impa.
He jumped off the bed and walked over to where Impa was laying. He did look dead, the only thing that gave anyone any reassurance that she was still alive was because she was breathing. He sighed then shook his head sadly.
"I should have never came, I'm leaving tomorrow morning Impa, you wont ever have to worry about me again," Karzon said as Impa then grabbed the arm he had. This took him by surprise. He jumped up like he did when he heard the banning in the Temple of time. Then slowly Impa opened her eyes and looked at Karzon. Impa was starting to scare him very much.
"What do you mean, your leaving?" She asked, her voice was low and harsh. She was not herself and this he felt. She was dying, but her death day was not determined yet. Karzon tried to talk but the only thing he felt was his mouth moving with out any words coming out.
Impa let go of his arm not wanting to wreck his only arm he had left. She smiled slightly but closed her eyes again. Karzon guessed it made her feel better like it had to him when he was in the lifter shaft with Malon. He took in a deep breath.
"Obivisouly I'm not help here, what good is a one armed Shika that no one likes?" Karzon asked Impa's smile got a little bigger as she reopened her eyes and looked up at Shika boy. He had so much he need to learn it was not funny. It would have been nice to train him if she was not in the condition she was in.
"Karzon, when I killed a king, do you think anyone liked me?" Impa asked and Karzon was speechless again. Impa had killed someone, no not just a someone but a king? She must have had a good reason for it though. But Karzon did not want to ask her any questions so he just answered hers.
"No," He said and she slowly nodded her head that his answer was correct. She must have killed a king of another country or something. She was to highly respected in Hyrule to have killed a king here! But as Karzon though those things Impa started laughing weakly. Karzon figured she had read his mind. Because he knew she was not going crazy.
"Yes I killed the king of Hyrule before this king. Everyone hated me until the found out the truth. They got to know me and knew I was not as bad as I looked or acted. No matter what my actions were before that. These people are forgiving Karzon, thats why you were sent here. Don't underestimate your self. When the Hero goes out looking for a cure, if one even exist I want you to go with him," Impa said and Karzon mouth fell open. For one he was wrong she did kill a king of Hyrule. But she wanted him to walk around with the person in all of Hyrule who hated him the most. He did not have to read links mind to find out he hated him.
Karzon sat down in the chair the king had been sitting in next to Impa's bed. So much for leaving. The number one rule his mother taught him was always do what a Shika said if they had the word `Great' before their name. Thats another reason why he had only stayed behind that pot.
"You honestly want me to walk around with him?" Karzon asked and Impa took hold of his hand again. The two just sat there. Karzon figured hat meant yes so stop questioning my command. So Karzon sat there thinking of how the hell he was going to do this. Him and the Hero defiantly started off on the wrong foot. and Karzon as not to keen on wanting to get to know him either.
A few minutes passed and Malon and Link had came out of the room they had walked into. Karzon flushed with a new emotion he had never felt before. it was an odd mad feeling the arose in his mind and chest. Link then walked over back to Zelda's beside and Malon looked at Karzon. She smiled at him, he could not smile back, for this emotion was hiding his smile from his face.
Malon walked over to him and took a seat. she wiped some of the dry blood off his face. This cut to his face would disappear soon. When Impa let got of Karzons hand he pushed Malons off his face. She was a little taken back by what he did but now with this new emotion hanging around his head he felt it hard to be around her.
Malon tried again but he pushed her hand away again. Malon was not getting a bit frustrated. She had just found out Link was related to her and her father. She was not about to take any type of crap from Karzon, because he had a slight mood swing sence Malon had last talked to him. Karzon then stood up from his seat and walked towards the balcony.
Malon was not going to give up. She stood up as well and followed him outside into the cool night air. A chill ran down Malons back as Karzon tried to pretend she was not there. But that was kind of hard as well. Malon leaned on the banister and looked up at the stars that filled the night sky.
"Nice night tonight, if you subtract everything bad that has happened," Malon said, Karzon looked over at her. What was she trying to get at. For living in a tribe for women all his life he though he should know women emotions and what they were trying to say when they talked.
"Yeah I guess," Karzon said gimpy, he was still missing an arm no matter what he subtracted form this night. He wanted to lean on the banister as well but it was a little bit hard with his one arm. Malon sighted, why was he being so stubborn now. In the Temple he was more open with her, now it was like she was talking to a little boy who had just gotten punished.
"Whats the matter, you can tell me I wont tell a single person, cross my hart and hope to die, I wont tell a soul!" Malon said as she crossed an `x' over her chest where she guessed her heart was located. Karzon had heard that little saying he was a little five year old. But then he knew Malon though he was acting like one.
Karzon turned completely towards Malon leaning with his good arm in the banister. It was as if Malon was putting a spell on him, and enchanting spell that he could not turn away from. He blinked and was simply dying to put his other hand on his hip, that was, if he had it.
Malon looked at Karzon and could only image what he was going to say now. She had successfully gotten his attention. Malon then crossed her arms across her chest and put on one of her sassy smiles. Karzon the started laughing lightly and shaking his head. She was really to much for him, but he stopped laughing and looked at the stars.
"They are really beautiful, their ever lasting power to shin. if you ever feel alone look to the stars, they will be your guide," Karzon said and Malon gasped in disbelief, he totally ignored what she had said to him. What did the stars have anything to do with this? She then un crossed her arms and grabbed the pendent that was around his neck and pulled him closer to her.
"Look buddy, just get to the point," Malon said with a small laugh. Karzon stopped leaning on the banister and put his hand in the air like he had just been arrested. he like her a lot, they hardly knew one another but they were comfortable with joking around. No wonder that new emotion had showed up out of now where. He was jelious of Link. He had never been jelious before in his life, not any time he could remember. But when Malon walked out of the room with like the jelious emotion appeared out of now where and took him into the black pit of depression.
"All right you won! Don't hurt me missy I'll tell you anything you want to know," Karzon said and Malon let go of his Charm and poked him in his chest. He smiled, he knew it was wrong to feel any happy emotions with what just happened but he could not help it.
"Then tell me why you were being jerk inside and why you came out here?" Malon said as she got a little closer to him. She needed something to take her mind off, Zelda and Impa being attacked. Find out Link was related to her, it had over whelmed her brain. Being around Karzon had made it a bit easier on her. Saving his life had to be one of the greatest things she had ever done.
"Would you believe me if I said I was jelious?" Karzon asked and Malon smiled slightly. At least they were getting some where. Malon looked up at him, then she blushed, she felt her face go hot, she gasped lightly. Thank goodness it was dark outside. She bit down on her lip, she loved this moment. She had never blushed like this around a guy unless they said something to make her uncomfortable.
"Jelious of who? And why would you be jelious of anyone?" Malon asked, she had gotten so close to Karzon now she could hear his heart beating.
"It really does not matter much anymore Malon," Karzon said and Malon closed her eyes. She was being swiped away into another world a peaceful world. She wondered if this was how Zelda and Link felt when they were around each other. How they just wanted to forget everything and live in this moment for the rest of forever.
"Karzon, ever sence I first saw you in the Temple of time....there was this attraction I got from you," Malon said, she never would have dreamed of telling him this if she had not disappeared in to her own little world of peace. Also she never would have told a guy this after only knowing them for a day, not even a day.
"You have an attraction for me?" Karzon asked a bit baffled and he just told Impa that no one liked him. He also was thinking on how this attraction grew so quickly in such a sort amount of time. But then Malon was here telling him this.
"I really would like to get to know you better Karzon. I hope you feel the same way," Malon said as she placed her hand on Karzons chest and now it was his turn to blush.
"I would love it very much to get to know you better Malon," Karzon said as the two just looked at each other for a moment. It was more then an attraction the tow of them felt. Karzon really did want to know her better, what was her favorite color, what she did on her time off. She was admazing right now and he knew there must be a greater person he was yet to met.
"Great it settled then! When ever we have a free moment are you up for tea?" Malon asked as she stepped back from Karzon and he was so hot to notice that it was cold out side. He felt like he had been launched into the sun. Karzon then nodded his head before anything came out of his mouth.
"I like sun tea," Karzon said and Malon gasped before she broke out into a bunch of giggles. Then she hugged Karzon. This took him by surprise. She then jumped back wards again. She then cupped her hands over her heart.
"I love Sun tea!" Malon said then she bounced more then walked towards the door to get back into the castle. She was starting to get cold. Karzon did not want to be left out alone she he hesitated at first then followed her back into the castle room.
"Zelda..." Link whispered as he ran his hand across Zelda's face gently. Why did this have to happen to her. He had almost lost her before to Ganon he was not about to lose her at all. But this time Ganon had not kidnapped her he had put a death clock on her. Soon it would stop ticking and Zelda would die. Link felt so helpless. "Zelda, you'll never believe what I found out today...Not only was your mothers name Zelda. But she was a Shika. Impa's best friend, and Malon is related to me, were cosines. How crazy is that?" Link was speaking softly in a whisper. So if Zelda could hear him she would be the only one.
There simply had to be a way to save her life, hers and Impas. Link was not going to ever give up until she was back on her feet again. A few more tears tickled down his face and splashed down on Zelda's own. Zelda let out a small noise and Links eyes widened. (The magic of a tear)
"Link..." Zelda said softly as she opened her eyes. Links heart pounded in his chest so heard he though it was surly going to blow up. He leaned over and kissed her on her lips gently. She kissed him back, he then sniffed back his tears so Zelda would not have to see him broken down. He had to be strong, he had to be the link she knew.
"Zelda, Your going to make it threw this," Link said in the most caring and comforting voice he had ever managed to pull into his voice. He did not want her to worry. She was going to live and he knew it. He wanted he to have that same faith he had. He leaned over again and embraced her. He could not lose her. What would he do with out the Princess Zelda around?
Now all his fears he had though of before disappeared the only fear he had now was losing Zelda. He wanted to be with her. He never knew he could feel this way about anyone, until she was about to die. Or close enough to death he could taste it. It Ganon ever showed his face around again Link was going to do more to him then trap him in a room. This time, this time he was going to make sure he died.
"Link....you...you know about my mother?" Zelda said softly and link shook his head yes. Zelda closed her eyes and smiled. She felt for Links face with her finger tips. Her poor Hero was having a melt down. Link took Zelda's hand in his own and kissed it.
"WE simply must find a cure for them!" The King said in a very grumpy tone as he walked back into the room with the doctors. The Doctors explained to him about the curse. They simply did not know anyway to cure Impa or Zelda. Malon and Karzon walked into the room just in time to hear this conversation.
"There has to be a way!" Karzon said, there was always a cure, if it came I a million years or the next day. Three was simply always a cure. The doctors then stressed it again that there was nothing in all the world that they knew of that could cure them. No medicine any ways.
"Thats it," Malon said, Karzon had put her in to good of a mood to be put down by this kind of news. She was also not going to give up tell Impa and Zelda were cured. Everyone then turned their attention towards Malon. When someone said that after every depressing statement made it only meant they knew something that could help.
"Well?" Link asked, Malon grinned as she pulled out a piece of paper from her pocket. She flashed it around, sence everyone was to far away from her to read the words off the paper Malon the cleared her voice and smiled her brightest smile.
"Dear Malon, It has been two years sence you and your father had last came to visit me. If you ever need my help or advice again I would be sure glad to full in some time for you. Hope you have a good life and that my wisdom has helped you in some way or another. Truly Taff, the Oracle of Healing," Malon said, when everyone gave her a puzzled looked she then went from a smile to a frown. "Taff, He's the Oracle of Healing, my dad went to him to get his leg mended and he kind of told me some other stuff. If anyone should know a cure for Impa and Zelda it would be Taff! He sent me this letter a few days ago that must mean he's back in Hyrule!"
"The Farmer girl is wiser then anyone could have imaged...I forgot about Taff," Impa said and Malon jumped back into Karzon. She had not know Impa and Zelda were a wake. Link then started laughing, he jumped up and hugged Malon again. The two then started jumping around.
The King then smiled, soon everyone in the room had a huge grin on their face. Malon was much more helpful then she would appear to be fore being a Farmer. She had the good information when needed. And this time they had got to her information on time and were going to put it into action. The Ganon one was mistake on everyone's part. But they were not going to make the same mistake twice.
"Where came we Find Taff?" Link asked and Malon hugged him tighter. She knew that very well. He always went to one place every time he came to Hyrule. Not only was he the oracle of healing but Taff was Malons Great Grandfather. Witch meant that Taff was now also Links Great Grandfather as well.
"He's at the Lake, Hyrule Lake, also were one of the entrance to the Zora's place is. He either stays with the fisherman of that very odd lab guy. If we leave tomorrow he still might be there. I mean he usually stays in one place for a few weeks before moving. And he's our great Grandfather Link!" Malon said as she let got of Link and took hold of his hands. The last part of Malons state meant no one understood but Zelda. But no one was in the mood to question anyone.
"I will leave first thing in the morning! Find Taff and find the cure!" Link said "I am going to Find the Oracle of Healing!" Malon eyed Link but he was to happy to notice the odd look on Malons face. Malon frowned again he was completely nuts if he though he was going to go alone.
"Link!" Impa yelled harshly and Link calmed down and him and Malon walked over to Impa. She was still smiling though. There was no nothing Impa could do or say that could change her mood. Unless she died, then he's be devastated.
"Yes Impa?" Link asked and Impa then pulled the covers off herself and opened her pouch that was strapped to her belt. Some of the things fell out of her belt and on to the bed. But that was the last thing on Impa's mind, making a mess. She then grabbed a small charm, She took one of Links hands and placed the charm in his hand then closed his fingers over it. Impa then let go of Links hand and placed it back by her side. She was to weak to do anything else.
Link opened his hand and looked at the charm. Carved into the little gold charm was the symbol of teamwork. Link tried to understand what Impa was trying to tell him. But when the tingling feeling ran down his back he knew Impa was not weak enough to read minds. She smiled at least she was going to answer his question with out him asking it.
Malon looked at the Charm Link held in his hand. She smiled again, Impa was a very wise Shika all right. Or was it just the factor that they were women (no offense to all the male readers). She also did not feel like, she was the only one who though Link should not do this alone.
"Link, I want you to take Karzon with you. You two can learn a lot form each other. And Look what Ganon did to us, your not strong enough to take on Ganon and his little Dark Link alone. You are to take him with you, this is not a wish it's a command. You will take the Master sword out of the temple then you two shall got find the Oracle of Healing," Impa said and Link tightened his grip around the charm.
He had never work with any one before but Navi. And she really did much of nothing but tell him what was going on, to watch out and some helpful information on the monsters. Then the though of walking around with Karzon sent a chill down his back. He totally did not like this new Shika man and could care less about him. He was trying to Help Impa and Zelda not make a new friend.
Link also did not think there was anything Karzon could possible teach him, besides how to get your arm cut off and thrown into a mote. Little did Link know that Karzon was thinking the same thing about link.
Malon was thrilled at the idea. Her two favorite guys getting to know each other better. But the only thing she did not like about the idea was that she wanted to go as well. Zelda was her friend, a best friend. One of the few Malon had. She defiantly could get to know Karzon better and she knew she would be a help to Link. She was an expert at the bow like Zelda was. The two would practice together sometimes, while deep into their conversations, that link never seamed to get into.
"I also sent a letter to the Gerudos. They will be sending one of their greatest fighters to aid you Link," The King said and Links mouth dropped open. He had sent a letter to the Gerudos asking for help. No one had faith in him it seamed. So now would he not only have to baby-sit Karzon but now a Gerudo woman as well? Link was not liking this idea very much.
"Now I would like you all to get some sleep, Malon you can stay the night as well. Link, Karzon, Malon there should be a room down on the end of this hall that has three beds in it. You really do need your rest to be in top condition for the journey in the morning. Then also before you leave breakfast will be made and brought to the three of you, I wish you best of luck," The King said and the three nodded. Link walked over and kissed Zelda once more before saying good bye to Impa.
Ready the three of them walked out of the room into the hall way. No one was out here any more. The King must have told them to go back to their own rooms. The three of them then walked down the hall way. Link did not want to speak right now, he was so worried about saving Zelda, they now had a way, but he was stuck with the person he cared the less about.
Malon took in a deep breath, she did not know how they were going to react when she told them she wanted to go. She could only imagine what Link would tell her or make up a reason she could not go with him. She was going to make sure she went.
"Link sence Karzon an this Gerudo girl are going with you...can I go also?" Malon asked and Link turned to her. Here was the moment she was waiting for she knew she was going to have to fight if she wanted to go with him.
"Malon this could be dangerous! I don't need anyone else getting hurt!" Link said and Malon sighed. Karzon just smiled. He knew it would not be wise to tick link off anymore but he could not help himself right now.
"Sure I think that would be great if you could come with us. I mean it would be even, two guys and two girls," Karzon said, Link did not have to turn around for Karzon to know Link wanted to punch him. Malon tried not to laugh so Link would not get any more ticked off then he already was. But she was not going to stop because he said she could get hurt. He could get hurt as well and he was not second guessing himself form going.
"Look! I'm the one who suggest about going to the oracle. And he's my great grandfather and he knows me! Link I know how to fight, I can defend myself! I'm not hopeless!" Malon added in as they walked to the last door on the hall. Link pulled it opened know knowing what to think or do.
He simply did not want anything to happen, even more that he found out she was a part of his family. Talon would never for give him either. Link walked into the room then headed for the bed on the furthest right. He fell down on it, he was tired he needed to sleep. But he had a feeling that was going to be harder then he could imagine.
"I don't want to talk about it right now," Link said as he took the pillow and put it over his head. A little a lone time was not that bad every now and then. he just need to short of his thoughts right now. He really did not want to talk Malon with him but she was not going to stop bugging him about it. He was doomed to taking her with him he knew it. But he did not want to make her feel victorious right now.
"Link, Zelda is going to be all right, Impa gave you that team work charm for a reason. I know after being your own hero for a while can be weird with working with others. Don't worry Link I wont let you down. And I wont get in your way either," Malon said as she took the bed in the middle and Karzon took the one furthest to the left. Malon then laid back on the bed, she had left her shoes out side. She hoped she remember to take them in the morning before they left.
Karzon laid down on the bed as well. He was tired, out of energy as well. The days following this one were going to be the longest and hardest days of his life. And having one arm was not going to help much either.
Link sat up on his knees on the bed and the pillow fell of his head. He looked at Malon who looked like she was in a deep though. Link starched his head. This was also weird, he never shared a room with anyone. once or twice he had shared a room. When he was younger and lived in then Kokiri village he even had his own house.
"Um Malon do you mind if I take off my tunic and undershirt?" Link asked(yes people he'll still have his pants on). Malon looked over at Link. Like she cared if he took off his shirt or not. She had undressed Karzon for him and Link did no see her complaining about that.
"I don't mind, take it off it your want," Malon said as she waved her hand at him then put it behind her head. She closed her eyes, rest was good and it swept over her before Link had even finished taking off his under shirt.
Karzon also found it quite easy to fall asleep. He had fell asleep almost the instant his head touch the pillow. Mainly because the fight had really taken it out of him. So it was very fast for him to drift off into a dream world. Link tossed his tunic and shirt to the ground, he laid back down on the bed and took the pillow and put it under his head.
Link soon fell asleep but his dreams were not of anything good:
"Link!" Zelda yelled, she called his name again. She was walking around in an all white room. She had on her pink dinner dress but her hair was a mess and down hanging over her shoulders. She looked scared and all alone. She hugged her arms around her body as a slight breeze past bye. "Link where are you I need you!" Zelda said as tears started falling down her fair cheeks.
"Zelda I'm right here!" Link called as he ran across the white room towards Zelda. He ran to her but she did not see him he just kept crying. she hugged herself tighter as the white walls started dripping blood. Link looked around and he tried to touch Zelda but his fingers when right threw her.
"Link! Where are you Link! I need you!" Zelda cried louder and Link tried again to touch her but it was no good. He did not like to see her crying and the blood on the walls was up to his knees now. The blood was not darning out of the room. Then Ganon walked in the room. Link went to pull out his sword only to find it not there. He did not know what to do. Zelda stopped crying just in time to see Ganon coming in the room.
"Link is dead Princess! And then some one more important will die, while you suffer for the rest of your life with out your husband and your child!" Ganon yelled as he pulled out his sword. Link gasped it was the master sword, but how could Ganon have the master sword! Link jumped in front of Zelda but Ganon walked threw him.
"NO!!!" Zelda screamed:
"AH!" Link yelped as he fell off the side of his bed. What a nightmare he had. He got to his knees as the sun shone in to his face. He sighed happily, it was a dream and Ganon could never get his hands on the master sword. It had been and odd enough dream though.
Link sat on the floor and noticed both Malons bed and Karzons bed was empty. They must have gotten up already. At least he was alone for the time being. He hoped Zelda was doing all right, she would be better soon and he vowed that. Link then looked out the window a few birds flew past it chirping. He knew what he had to do. He was going to run quick errand before they left to find the Oracle of Healing.
Link then picked up his white under shirt and slipped it on. Then he reached for his tunic. Just as he finished pulling the tunic over his head, the bedroom door opened and on of the doctors walked in. He hoped they had some good news for him. But the chance of that was extremely slim.
"I have some news for you Link, no one knows this yet but me and soon to be you," The doctor said sitting down on the bed nearest to links. Link looked up at him, what was so bit or something new that popped up and the doctor had not told anyone.
Link then picked up his belt and but it around his waist. The doctor then looked around the room and got up from his seat to shut the door. Link now really wanted to know what this guy was going to tell him. He did not want anyone else to know what he was going to say. While Link waited for the doctor to sit back down he slipped on his boots and tried combing his hair the best he could with his fingers. Sence he did not have his hat he had to make his hair a little decent looking.
"Something else popped up when I was checking Impa and Zelda's heart beats," The doctor said as he looked at his notes. Link nodded wanting him to go on. So what he was checking their heart beats he could have told anyone that. But there was more to this. "When I went to check Zelda's breathing, I released she has two different heart beats."
"What? If she has two different hear beats that would have to mean she has two hearts!" Link said and the doctor sighed. Link was not catching on to what he was trying to get at. The Doctor cleared his voice, he was going to try and make this as simple as he could.
"That right Link she has two hearts, and you know why?" The doctor asked and Link raised one of his eye brows which meant he was completely stumped and did not know what to say. Also she did not know any reason in the world why Zelda would have two hearts. Hew knew she was a very loving and caring person but he though everyone only had one heart.
The Doctor almost fell off the bed and on to the ground. he knew the Hero had be raised in the forest but he did not expect him to be this stupid. Or at least get the fact on what happened when a woman had two heart beats in her body. The Doctor searched his head then tried to find another way to word this with out giving Link a heart attack.
"Link, Zelda is pregnant," The Doctor said and Links eyes almost popped out of his head.
"WHAT!" Link yelled and the doctor grinned. Link could play stupid with him all he wanted to but he knew for sure that Link was the father of Zeldas child. Link now understood why the doctor had not told anyone. For one the king would have a heart attack and die, and it would only make Zelda worry more. "How...How long has she been pregnant!?"
Link now felt like a fool, if he would have know this sooner he would not have made Zelda run around all yesterday afternoon or go down the laundry shoot. He defiantly would have went to the dinner last night, he would not have left her in her room along. He simply would not let Zelda out of his sight at all.
"Almost two mouths, if I can hear the heart, more or less pick and chose it does not matter, she is going to have a baby. But that brings up another point. Don't say a word of it to her. It might not live sence this happened. Zelda's body will be taking all the bold and stuff for itself, I don't think the baby is going to live much longer," The Doctor said and Link covered his eyes to keep him self from crying. This was wonderful. This was simply wonderful, he knew the news was not going to be good, but either way someone was going to come out dead from this how thing.
"Damn it!" Link yelled as he took in a deep breath.
"You are the father right? I don't want to be giving the wrong information to the wrong father. The Doctor said and Link nodded his head. He knew he was the father. If how long she was pregnant was true then he new the exact day, time and place.
"Yes I know I'm the father," Link said the King defiantly would kill Link if he found this out. That the reason why he kept Link away night. But night nor day did not matter Link still managed to get Zelda pregnant. And this could also be the death of the baby and Zelda. Link now felt rotten and was more determined then ever to find Taff.
"Thats good to know, I did not think Zelda would sleep with anyone but you after she made that big scene last night at dinner. If everyone did not know Zelda loved you they sure the hell know now. But remember this is to be kept to yourself. I don't need Zelda to worry herself to death over a baby that might die in a few days," The doctor said and Link took in another deep breath. His first child was going to die, he was not married and the king did not even like him. Zelda had death hanging over his shoulders? What could get worse, he dared not to ask that question.
"How long do Impa and Zelda have to live?" Link asked and held his breath this was the dreadful question that was now hunting his thoughts now. He hoped they had longer time to live then his child did. He could not bare to lose Zelda.
"Five weeks, maybe a little more but I would not bet on it. That curse was a bad one. Was banned form the whole world that one was. Ganon must have studied up why he was trapped in that room of his. Then to make such a mist monster that looks exactly like yourself Link. Ganon is much stronger then he was," The Doctor said and Link pushed himself up to his feet
Five weeks was good enough for him. Zelda and Impa would be all right. Link was not even going to worry about Ganon until Zelda and Impa got their health back. Then he'd go fight Ganon. Ganon might be stronger but so was Link.
Link then shook hands with the Doctor. He was going to go say good by to Zelda and Impa. Then he was going to look for Karzon. Tell him he was going to the two for a few minutes before they left. He did not know what he was going to do about Malon right now or where he was going to Find this Gerudo, if they even sent one out to help. They might not under the case that Ganon is the one running around again.
Link walked out of the bedroom door to be greeted by Malon who was holding a piece of bread in her hands. She was leaning against the wall across from him. She had a smile on her face but she could tell that Link was not in the mood to smile. Malon handed Link the piece of Bread, what had that doctor told him that no one else could hear.
"Thanks," Link said as he took the piece of bread. Malon patted his back as they walked down the hall way towards the room Zeal was in. It was a lot easier to see in the day time then trying to find your way threw the hall ways at night.
Karzon was waiting by the entrance of the room Zelda was in. He was back in his Shika out fit. He must have went outside to retrieve it. He also was holding a bundle with his good arm. Malon walked over to him and pulled an apple out of her pocket. She handed it to him and he thanked her with a smile.
The More Link looked at the bundle Karzon was holding the more he wanted to know what was in it. Just the way Karzon was holding it must have been very Important. Link Stopped walking and Karzon looked over at him. Links hair was a mess, he did not do a good job of combing it out with his fingers. Karzon then smiled inside knowing why link wore that hat around all the time.
"Whats in that?" Link asked, he could not help himself he had to know what Karzon was holding. Karzon looked at the bundled in his arms then put the apple in his mouth. He took a bit then asked Malon to hold the apple. HE put the bundle down on the ground and started to unwrap it. Link laughed and Malon turned away grossed out as Karzons other arm laid in the bundle.
"I was thinking if anyone could help me with my arm it would be the Oracle of Healing," Karzon said, Link nodded his head in agreement. So maybe Karzon was not as stupid as he looked or acted. Karzon then started wrapping it up the best he could with his one arm. His attempts to do so were not very good. He was just not used to having only one arm.
"Let me help," Malon said as she bent down after turning around from almost loosing what she had eaten this morning. She gave him his apple back and wrapped his arm for him. Once Malon hand finished she picked up the bundle even though it made he stomach turn on what was in it. She only held it so Karzon could Finnish his apple.
She had tried to get Karzon to eat a normal breakfast this morning but he did not feel like it. He must have been hungry if he was eating the Apple. Malon had brought Link the piece of bread because she knew he was most likely not going to eat anything either. And when ever link did not want to eat he always wound up eating a piece of bread.
Once Link had finished off his bread and Karzon his apple. Link opened the door and entered the room. Zelda was awake and so was Impa. They had moved the beds closer to one another. The two women smiled as Link, Karzon and Malon walked into the room. Link walked over and sat on the bed by Zelda stomach.
"You came back," Zelda smiled, she knew he was going to. But she did it as a joke sence thats what they were talking about before he left last night. Link bent over and gave her a hug. She rubbed his back gently because that was all the energy she had in her. She had eat a few things this morning but she was really weak. Zelda also felt a new sort of pain that was growing in Link. She was not going to ask him though, if he wanted to tell her then he would. He already had a long day a head of him she did not want to be the one who got in his nerves before he left.
"Link, you are never leaving this castle once we get better," Impa joked, same old Imap. Even if she was on her death bead. Link sat up right again as Zelda pulled Links hat out of her pocket and handed it to him. Link then but it on his head then he touched Zeldas face. It was weird how things worked out.
He was going to be the father of her child and yet it took them this long to tell each other they really loved each other. The Doctor was right though, if Zelda found out she was going to have a baby. She would not care about her health she would worry about the baby and if it would come out all right. That the last thing she needed to do right now was to worry.
Link did hope that the baby came out all right. But that was slim, if it only had a few days left, before Zelda's body killed it off so all it would go in keeping her alive. Link sighed before kissing her on her lips. He had to go run is errand, before they headed out.
"You guys don't mind if I run to the Hyrule castle town alone, not only to get the master sword, but I have one more thing I need to do before I leave," Link said as he looked at Karzon, then Malon then over at Impa. Impa frowned at him and he knew what she was thinking. "Don't worry I'll come back, I have to bring something up here as well so you can count on me that I wont leave them here."
"Good, I'll be counting," Impa said, Link stood up and walked out of the room again. He was thinking about just leaving. But he kind of felt bad for Karzon, he wanted to see the oracle about his arm. The arm he lost in his attempt to save Zelda. Link felt like he had to repay him some how. And leaving him behind would only make him madder.
Malon handed Karzon's bundle back to him as she walked over to the window. Link was really going to let her go. Or so he hopped. He had been talking to more then one person when he said he had to leave. She hopped that meant her as well. She was not going to sit around and do nothing. That was not her life style. Thats why she did not mind if her father did not help out around the ranch, it gave her more to do. And when she did Finnish everything she would practice with her bow.
Malon never shot her bow when her father was around. He did not think it was fitting for her to go around with a bow in hand. He also did not think girls should be the ones to go fight. But today her father was going to let her go and there was no way he or Link were going to stop her. She had her mind set on what she was going to do.
Link walked out of the castle doors and started heading towards the gate. This is when it had happened last night. When he stupidly stayed out side in fear of being yelled at. He should have just did what Malon said and went back into the castle. He would never make that same mistake ever again. Let then behead him for all he cared, as long as Zelda was all right.
He got to the gates and looked at the guards. They were not the same ones at night watch, the night watch also wore something different. This is where Malon had been denied an entrance into the castle. Where she had to climb the vines wasting time because some pricks would not believe her. The gates slowly started to rise. Link ducked under them then started walking along the dirt path. She turned the corner and shall the vines. He sighed. Now he was not the only ones to have climbed up them.
It took him only a few minutes to get to the Hyrule town. Everyone was talking out in the streets. The news must have gotten to them as well. News travels very fast in Hyrule if it has to do with the Royal family. Some people started asking him questions but he simply kept walking. He did not want to relive what happened, not in words or actions. Link looked around and spotted the shot he wanted to go into. The jewelry shop.
Link pushed open the cold wood door and walked in to the shop shutting the door behind him. It was nice in cool in here. He looked at the walls that must be why it was cold, the owner had blue fire hanging on the walls. Link walked up to the counter and rang a little bell. With in a matter of seconds the Owner walked out from the back room.
She was kind of short with green hair pulled back into a bun. She had brown eyes and had on a yellow dress. She was thrilled when she saw who it was standing in front the counter. She ran up to the counter and shook Links hand.
"I have been waiting for the day for you to come to again!" She smiled, Link had came before for Zeldas birthday to buy her a bracelet. Zelda took the bracelet and put it on the painting someone had done of Link for her that she in her room.
"Another mind reader I see," Links and the woman blushed. She shook her head no as she pulled out a box from under the counter and placed it in front of him. She was surprise Link had forgot. But then again it had been three years sence she had last seen him.
"No Silly, last time you came you told me to make these, so that when you were read they would be ready to! You still with the princess?" She asked and Link mouth dropped open. He did forget about the thing he told her to make. She pushed the box towards him and he opened it. Inside the box were three rings.
"This is what I came in to ask, I forgot you had already made them, whoa, they are so- the greatest rings I have ever seen," Link said as he ran his finger across them. The woman smiled as Link then shut the lid to the box. She then went under the counter again and pulled something else out. it was wrapped in gold paper and she handed it to Link. He took it from her and looked at it.
"It's a wedding gift, an early one," She said "Go on open it."
Link then gently started to unwrap the gold paper. He laid it down on the table just in cause anything fell out of it. Once he had gotten the paper off two of the most beautiful lockets lay in front of him. they were heart shaped lockets, with golden chains. The carvings on the locket were admazing. Link then opened the Locket that had a `L' carved into it.
Inside the locket was a small painting of him and Zelda. He dropped his shoulders and smiled. The other locket had a Z carved into it. She was spoiling him. She had already made him the greatest rings ever and now this.
"I hope it makes Zelda feel better, I know your going to save her! So go and do it!" She pointed to the door and Link gave her a hug. This took her by surprise as she pushed him away. She gave him the box and the Locket for Zelda.
"Thanks so much!" Link said as he pulled some rupees out of his pocket and she push his had away before he could put the money down.
"You already paid for the rings three years ago, and the lockets are a gift. Now get going Link, time a wasting you know," she smiled. That was a lie, she just did not want him to pay, not only was Zelda in a very bad mess now, but she admired him and some one should treat him like the hero he was. Link then waved one last time thanking her then he left the building. He put Zelda's locket and the box of rings in his pocket. Then he took his locket and put it around his neck. He then put it inside of his tunic so it would not get wrecked. One last stop and then he would be heading back to the castle.
Link then walked across the town and was heading towards the temple of time. He walked threw the alleys as people were still talking about the attack from Ganon last night. Most of them were scared that it was going to happen again. Link was not going to let it happen again, he was going to make sure Ganon never hurassed the people of Hyrule ever again.
Link jogged up the stairs that led to the temple. There was a guard standing in front of the temple. He moved out of the way of course when he saw Link coming. Link open the door and walked into the Temple. It was a mess in the temple, some of the windows were shattered chairs were thrown every which way. The doors that led back to the alter of time here hanging off her hinges.
He walked past those doors and shall the alter. The three spiritual stones were on the alter. This made him so mad. How did Ganon get his grummy hands on them? Link walked over to the alter he wanted to smash the spiritual stones but then he would not be able to get to the master sword. Then the Triforce on Links hand started to glow. Link looked up above the alter. The Triforce for that was carved on the wall started to glow where the courage piece went.
He then walked behind the alter and into the room of time. He looked at the master sword sitting in the pedestal. Then he though of what everyone had said. He need Karzon and the Gerudo to go with him because he was not strong enough. What if the master sword trapped him in here again like it did last time. Zelda and Impa were sure to die. But there was not way he could kill Ganon, owner of the triforce of power with out the Master sword.
Link walked over to the sword and took out the charm of Team work Impa had given him. When he first pulled the master sword out he was little and was going to do it alone. Now he was older and was going to be helped. He tighten his grip on the charm. It could not trap him in here! It simple could not trap him in this room. Link then brought the charm up to his face. He was really waist time. He hoped this would work.
Link then took the charm and placed it on the handle of the master sword. A Yellow light shot out from the temple and hit the sword. Link pulled his hand away as the light disappeared. The Charm had became a part of the sword now. He hoped it also understood that he needed all the time he had to Save Zelda and Impa. Link then took a deep breath, this was the moment of truth.
Link extended his arms and gripped the handle of the sword. He closed his eyes, then he pulled out the sword. He tumbled backwards and fell on his butt. The sword in his hands. He blinked, had he been trap? He did not even know it last time it happened. How would he know now. He jumped to his feet and ran out of the temple. He skid to a stop in front of the guard who gave him a puzzled look.
"When did you see me go in there?" Link asked.
"A minute or two ago-"
"YES!" Link yelled as he ran off threw the Hyrule castle town and towards the castle. The Guard shut the door and wondered why on earth Link was acting so weird. He then took his spot standing again and figured ALL heroes acted like that.
