The Wanderer
Chapter 3
"The City of Siti"

------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------

"Whoa," was the only thing that came out the mouth of Kismet when they walked through gates of the City of Siti. After a day of walking, the group finally got to their destination of Siti. It was the size of a middle-size city. Nothing too big, but to Kismet, it was the biggest city he seen.

"I come here all the time, but it still amazing," said Ruby.

"It's nothing, I seen bigger," said Wanderer.

"There's bigger," said Kismet.

"Yep. The City of White is 10 times bigger," said Apollo.

"You been to the City of White," Ruby said in amazement.

"Been. I was born there, and lived there until I was 6."

"That where King Robert's castles is, right?" Kismet asked.

"Yep. It's in the middle of the city on a hill."

"Why all the talking? Let find a hotel. I need to rest my feet. I not as young as I use to be," said Mimir.

"Okay daddy," replied Ruby, "How about the one we stay in last time?"

"Which one was that?"

"The one with the good, free, hot breakfast."

"I heard the word free. Where?" said Apollo.

"Just follow me."

(

"You failed me, Snott," said King Robert.

"They had a magic crystal likes Katie's, your majesty," replied Snott.

"I DON'T CARE!" he yelled.

"Your highness, calm down. It just an obstacle we can over come in due time," Katie said trying to calm the king.

"You better or I will find a new adviser!"

"Your highness, you will never find one one-millionths as good as me. Remember all the others you had before you found me."

"That's right. Found. I found you, and I can lose you if I want, but good help is hard to come by, so you're safe for now."

"Thank you, your highness."

"Where is Kismet, now?"

"In the city of Siti, your majestic," said Snott.

"Darn! I can't attack them while they are in there. Stupid treaties."

"But isn't King Juan one of your closest allies. Why don't we just send a message to him about Kismet?" Katie responded.

"Yes. Why don't we? I haven't written to him in ages."

"Your highness, it can't be a long one. We need to send it fast, before Kismet leaves Siti."

"Send in the messenger."

(

"So what do you want to do first?" asked Apollo, "We can eat, see a show, go shopping..."

"Wait a minute. Shopping," said Wanderer.

"For food and supplies."

"Yeah sure."

"I'm not, if that what you're thinking."

"Or you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Luckily, I'm not bunking with you."

"Why?" said Kismet.

"Nothing. Wanderer is being annoying," said Apollo, "Come on, let's eat."

"I thought you wanted to shop." Said Wanderer.

"I don't want to shop!"

"Stop torturing the boy," said Mimir.

"I want to go shopping to think about it," said Ruby, "I need a new dress and some potions."

"I need some magic dust," said Kismet.

"What?" said Apollo.

"Magic dust. It's magical dust. Different colors does different things."

"I still don't get it."

"You'll probably won't. You got to be a skill magician to know what it is," said Ruby, "I surprise you know what it is, Kismet."

"I'm part fairy. We use it all the time," Kismet responded.

"I forgot that."

"How can you? Look at his ears," said Wanderer.

"Hey, what wrong with me ears?" Kismet said.

"Nothing, I just pointing them out."

"I have pointed ears, and I'm not a fairy. I'm a elf." Said Ruby.

"Then look at his hair. It's purple and has blue at the end. Only fairies has two type of hair color like that."

"He could of have dyed it that way." Said Mimir.

"I didn't dyed it, so stop talking about it." Said Kismet.

"So, what are we doing again?" asked Apollo.

"It seems like we'll shopping," replied Wanderer.

"Okay. I meet you at the hotel in a hour or two."

"What? I thought you wanted to shop?"

"I just remember, I know somebody here, so I will stop by and say hi."

(

"So, did my message get there?" said King Robert.

"Yes, your highness," Katie replied, "It arrived yesterday."

"So, what did he say?"

"He will arrest him, and send him to you."

"Good, good. Send in Knows-a-lot."

"Yes, your highness."

Katie snapped her fingers and Knows-a-lot walked in while juggling balls. He walked up to the throne, then caught all the balls and bowed to the king.

"My lord, you called for me," he said.

"Yes, yes. I want to be entertain because there's much celebration." King Robert replied.

"Yes, my lord."

(

"Is your name Kismet?" Said a solider to the Kismet as the group was exiting a magic shop in the Siti.

"Yes," he replied.

"In the name of the law, you're under arrested."

"What did he do?" asked Wanderer.

"I have a warrant for his arrest."

"But what did he do?" This time Mimir asked.

"Don't ask me, ask the king."

"But he did nothing wrong," said Ruby.

"But to the king, he did."

"Then take us to the king." Said Wanderer.

"Yes, sir."

The solider took them to the castle in the middle of the city and into the throne room of King Juan.

"Here is Kismet," said the solider.

"What do you want with the boy?" asked Wanderer.

"He has a quarrel with King Robert and I promise him I will send him to him."

"Sir, King Robert is attacking my village," responded Kismet, "And we are but simple fairies and have no way to protect ourselves."

"You live in a fairies village, which one?" King Robert said.

"The Queen's village."

"Is that the queen's sword?"

"Yes."

"Release them. I will not harm you. It has been foretold that one day, I will have to choose between a foolish friend and a strange boy that comes by the name of the queen of the fairies. And if I chose wrong it will lead to my death. You have my support. Nobody will harm you or your friends while you're in this village."

"I don't understand."

"In the past the fairy queen helped my family, and we promise her that we will chose the strange boy over the friend. She said that this boy is the key to her future."

"You family knew my queen. Then you will know who the king is, right?"

"I'm afraid so."

"What do you mean by afraid so?"

"King Daven, king of the demons."

"What! My queen will never marry a demon, let alone the king of them."

"Oh, Daven wasn't a demon. He just ruled over them, and everything else evil."

"I do not believe you."

"It is true. Everything pure, nice, and sweet of the fairy queen, Daven was the complete opposite of. But they were completely in love. Somehow they were perfect for each other."

"Is that a fairy book story," said the Wanderer, "No wonder why it has the fairy tale ending. Wait a minute, it doesn't it. The king turn her made her sleep for an eternity."

"He didn't."

"What do you mean, he didn't?" asked Mimir.

"He didn't cast the spell on her. It was an onlooker that thought their love was wrong. Daven was out defending his love's kingdom from being destroyed. And when he came back and found her like that, he thought she was dead and killed his-self."

"Like a Romeo and Juliet," said Ruby.

"In a way, yes. But much more tragic I think. Romeo and Juliet said good-bye, and show how much each loved each other, but the queen never did."

"I like that version better than your version Kismet. It's more believable."

"But my is not a story, it's true. I from the fairy queen's village and that the story there." Said Kismet.

"But I was there when Daven found her," said a shadow from behind King Juan's throne.

"Who's there?" said Wanderer.

A vampire came around the throne. He was wearing a thick, black armor with two holes in the back where his wings came through. The front of his golden blonde hair fell just above his shoulder, and the rest was in a ponytail. If you stare in his deep, dark, black eyes for too long, you think he's looking in your soul. Everything about him screamed out an evil dark creature that can and will kill you any minute.

"Who are you?" said Kismet.

"They call me, Stry, the commander of the army of darkness, and the right hand man of the king of demons."

"If his story was true, then you knew the king," said Wanderer.

"Yes, it's true. I was with the king the day he found his beloved sleeping for eternity in their bed."

"I'm on a quest to find the person that houses the king's soul, will you join us?" asked Kismet.

"I will do anything to see my king again."

"Great, other one. Why don't we invite the whole world to come with us?" said the Wanderer.

"I told you there will be a lot of people on this quest." Mimir responded.

"How do you know that?"

"I know all."

"If you know all, then why are we going to the oldest woman in the world house, huh?"

"Don't be mean to the old guy," said Ruby.

"Who are you calling old?" said Mimir.

"Nobody papa."

"You better not be calling me old. I think you spending to much time with Apollo."

"You speak the name of the son of King Robert, did you know him?" asked King Juan.

"No." said Wanderer.

"I don't think so." Said Mimir.

"Do you think," said Ruby.

"No way. He probably told us by now." Said Kismet.

"You speak of him if he was alive. He been dead for a long time."

"Then we don't know your Apollo, we know a different Apollo," said Ruby.

"Our is very much alive, I'm afraid," said Wanderer.

"Where is he?" asked King Juan.

"Visiting a friend," said Mimir.

"Too bad. I will like to meet him."

(

"WHAT! KING JUAN IS PROTECTING HIM!" said King Robert in outrage.

"Yes, but your majestic..." said Snott.

"No but. Katie get in here."

"Yes, your highness." She said as she ran in the room.

"Make me a monster. I want Siti destroyed."

"Yes, your highness. And what kind of monster do you want?"

"Anything, but it has to breath fire."

"Yes, your highness."

She took the crystal out, "Crystal of evil and darkness hear my voice. With taste of your master's blood. Make me a monster of my imagination and of my mind. And set it free."

The light came out and a monster that was a walking flame was in it. Then it turned into the ball.

"Snott take this, and destroyed Siti. If you can, try to destroy Kismet too," said King Robert.

"Yes, your majestic," Snott replied.

(

Kismet and the gang minus Apollo were walking down the street when they heard a loud horn go off. Tons of people then ran down the street and into their houses. The shops all closed, and the city became like a ghost town.

"What happened?" asked Kismet.

"I don't know," said Ruby.

"It's an attack signal," said Stry.

Then, they heard the beating of drums and sound of a group marching in sync with them. They turned around and looked up the street and saw a whole army marching towards them. King Juan was on a white stallion leading them.

"Uh guys, I think we should move," said Ruby.

"Why?" asked Mimir.

"That's why," she pointed to the flaming monster behind them.

"That's a good reason," said Wanderer.

"You guys can't beat my monster this time," said Snott.

"You again. Let's fight this thing," said Kismet.

"You know this guy," said Stry.

"That's Snott, King Robert's general of his army," said Ruby.

"You little lighting trick won't work this time. It's made out of fire," Snott said then he stuck out his tongue.

"He's so kidish," Ruby said.

"Lighting might not work, but water will," said Apollo with his bow out behind the monster, "Arrow of water."

Apollo shot his arrow, and it hit the monster, but it only made it bigger.

"Oxygen makes fire bigger and water has a lot of it," said Snott, "Even I know that."

"Then I just have to blow it out. Arrow of wind."

This arrow was invisible and you can only feel it pass you by. In second the flame blow out and the monster disappeared.

"Where did it go?" said Wanderer.

"I don't know, but just to make sure," said Ruby as she pulled out the light crystal. " Crystal of peace and light I summons you. Hear the voice of you master and send the monster of the dark crystal of evil back into the mind of its master and let it never to be release into this or any world every again."

"Man I thought it would last longer. Oh will," said Snott, "You have not see the last of me."

Snott ran off into an alley.

"Let go after him this time," said Wanderer.

"Okay," said Kismet.

Wanderer and Kismet ran into the alley and found no trace of him. He just disappeared and it was a dead end too. They couldn't understand it.

"Was he there?" asked Mimir.

"No. There's nothing. Just air," said Kismet.

"He probably used a portal. They were invented in the City of White, you know," said Apollo as he walked up behind them.

"I saw what happened. I'm forever in your debt for saving my precious city," said King Juan, who finally got his army down there.

"You'll welcome," said Wanderer.

"Hey, I destroy the monster. Don't take my credit," said Apollo.

"And who is this?" asked King Juan.

"This, sir, is Apollo," Ruby said.

"Have we met before? I feel that I know you."

"Nope, I have never met a king," said Apollo.

"Then it's you lucky day, kid," said Wanderer.

"Yeah, very lucky. My friend wasn't home, I got lost and I fought a flamey monster thing. Yes, it was a very lucky day, indeed."

"Guess I don't have to say how was your day then?" said Mimir.

"I tell you this," said King Juan, "This is definitively not Prince Apollo. He's more like his sister, Diana, than Apollo."

"Hey, are you calling me a girl?" said Apollo.

"It will explain the shopping thing," said Wanderer.

"I'm not a girl!"

"Diana was a tomboy, and your speech is much like hers," said Stry.

"Who are you and how would you know what she was like?"

"My name is Stry. And Diana was best friends with the Princess Maria when she was younger, and Diana came here a lot."

"Is he coming with us?"

"Yep," said Wanderer.

"Oh great. Now we have a bloodsucking vampire with us."

"If you're afraid of me sucking your blood, don't be. I'll only suck it if you become my enemy."

"I'm not afraid of anything. But just in case. Hi, my name is Apollo, and I will be you best friend on this quest," Apollo said as he put his hand out to shake hands.

"I don't become friends with someone that easily. You will have to gain my trust before anything like that will happen."

"Whatever you say."

"Leave him alone, Apollo," said Ruby.

"Have it your way. Come on Kismet, let's go get a drink to celebrate my victory."

"I don't drink, sorry," said Kismet.

"Come on. You don't have it get drunk, you can just watch me."

"Go with him. I don't want him to get into trouble," said Wanderer.

"I was hoping that you guys will come to a feast I planning in your honor," said King Juan.

"Free food. I'm in," said Apollo.

"Me too," said Kismet.

"If my dad goes, I go," said Ruby.

"Why not?" said Mimir.

"If I have to," said Wanderer.

"Great. Tonight you can eat until you cannot eat anymore, and drink to your hearts' contend," said King Juan.

(

"You have fail me once again, Snott," said King Robert.

"But, your majestic," Snott replied.

"No buts! I only allow a certain numbers of failures and you're crawling slowing to it each time."

"I only fail twice."

"Your highness, can I speak on the behalf of Snott," said Katie.

"Yes, yes."

"Kismet has someone in there crew that the light crystal. Its power is somehow greater than the dark crystal. If we can just steal it from her, failures will never happen again."

"Hm, I see. Katie devise me a plan that will work, and I will give any quarter of land you may want out of my future kingdom."

"Thank, your highness. You are so kind."

"Only to people who succeeds."

"I will remember that, your highness."

Katie bowed and left the room, where Knows-a-lot was waiting for her at the entrance.

"My, my. Soon I will be saying your highness to you," said Knows-a-lot.

"That the plan isn't it?" she replied as she walked by. Then she turned around, "Besides, you don't need to say your highness to me, you'll be my king."

"There's a reason I like you."

"Come on. My baby is probably missing me."

"Which one, the snake or the dragon?"

"Both."
