Stry thought about what Sara said while he walked to his room. As he walked in
the room he hasn't been in for more than two hundreds years, but it was the
same. Nothing had moved since he last saw it. The letter he was writing when he
went to war was still on the desk half written and the ink gone dry.

"Daven's qbeet jicz jasr ac mruaj wuan," he said as he remember that phrase that
Sara said. He was puzzled by it. He can't get it. He knew what she said and what
it meant, but he couldn't believe, "How can it be? Daven has been died for
hundreds of years. Both of them are too young for it to be true."

"What can't be true?" said Ruby as she entered the room.

"Why are you here? And how did you get here?"

"I use some magic to get here and why am here because I don't feel safe here.
I'm afraid, but for some strange reason, I feel safe with you."

"They're nothing to be afraid of."

"You're kiddy right? This is the place where nightmares of from. Just thinking
about I can't sleep. And I'm all alone in my room, I'm just so scared." Then
she started to cry, "I bet you're thinking I'm a baby."

"No I'm not. You can sleep here tonight. I will keep you safe."

"Thanks," she said as she hugged him, "But what about you? Where will you
sleep?"

"I haven't slept since I was 10."

"I bet you're pretty tired, but are you sure?"

"Yes I'm sure."

"Okay."

Ruby crawled into the bed and as soon her head touch the pillow she fell
immediately asleep. Stry pulled the quilt over her shoulders to keep her warm in
this cold place, and kissed her goodnight on the forehead.

"Veet-carm, liuuc en xh ruojm," he whispered in her ear.

"Oct mee hei, xh facv," she said as she smiled into dreamland.

(

"I have good news to report to you, your majestic," said Snott to King Robert in
the throne room.

"What?" King Robert replied.

"Kismet has been taken prisoner by orcs in the forest of youth."

"And where was he taken?"

"Into the Land of Shadows and Secrets."

"You fool! That's terrible. The fairy queen's king is from there. They will
surely help him."

"I didn't know."

"You will go into the land and kill Kismet."

"But I'm afraid to go in there. I heard if you go in there, you will never come
back."

"No you won't. I been there."

"I will go with him," said Katie as she walked in the room.

"Why?" asked King Robert.

"You can see that he's afraid. Let me go with him to protect him."

"And how will you protect me?" Snott said.

"Because I have the dark crystal and it will protect us."

"You may go Katie. Under one thing."

"What your highness?"

"That you bring me back one of those plants from there."

"It's already done."

(

"So, how do you know where we are going?" said Snott as Katie and him sneaked
around in the castle of Tojf.

"I know the blueprints of this place by heart," replied Katie.

"How did you get the blueprints?" he asked but Katie didn't answer. She just
disappeared, "Katie?"

"Don't be afraid young one," said Sara as she walked towards him.

"Who...who are you?" he said fearfully.

"I'm Queen Sara. Come young one. Don't be frightened of me. I will do nothing to
harm you."

"But...but you're the evil child queen of death."

"I'm surely not evil. Just this place is. And I only bring death to those who
deserve it. You have nothing to be afraid of. Come rest, young one."

"Why are you keep calling me young one? You're the young one."

"Never judge a book by a cover, young one."

"Okay. But it's Snott."

"Who would ever name their child that?"

"I'm an orphan. That's the name the other kids called me."

"I will not call you Snott. In this place, you will be known as Heicv Ecu. It
means Young One in Mecviu."

"Thanks, I think."

"It was my pleasure."

Meanwhile Katie was in Mimir's room. She had a knife in hand ready to kill him
while he was sleeping peacefully. She crept up to his bedside and raised the
knife over her head. At that instant, Mimir woke-up, but not for long. She
plunged down into his heart killing him.

"Why Katie? Why?" he asked in his dying breath.

"I seen the future, and I don't want you or mom to go through it," she said.
Then she kissed his forehead as a tear run down her face, "This is way things
have to be, great-grandfather. Good-bye."

So got up and left the room. Leaving the knife in his broken heart.

(

"Where's my father?" asked Ruby the next day during breakfast.

"I don't know," said Wanderer, "He was suppose to meet me before breakfast."

Then they heard a loud scream coming for the guest quarters, and then a maid
when through the doors.

"Mruju'z o tuot qeth," the maid said.

"Kruju?" Stry asked.

"Ac mru ebt noc'z jeex."

"No. It can't be," Ruby said as she got up and ran to her father room.

"What is it?" asked Kismet.

"She found a dead person in Mimir's room," Stry replied.

"Let's go see," said Apollo as he got up and followed Ruby.

Then Wanderer and Kismet followed and when they enter the room, they saw Mimir
dead on his bed and Ruby crying on the side of the bed with Apollo by her side
with his arm around him.

"I'm sorry," said Apollo.

"Thank you," Ruby replied.

"Ruby..." said Stry.

Ruby got up and ran to Stry. He wrapped his arms around her, and she held back.

"I know this knife," said Kismet as he took the knife from Mimir's heart.

"What do you mean?" said Apollo.

"It's in my dreams. It haunts me. This is the same kind of knife that killed my
family, and almost killed me. But this is a little different. Where King
Robert's symbol suppose to be, it something different. A dragon with a snake
circling around it."

"Weird."

"Is the dragon a baby or an adult?" asked Ruby.

"I don't know. Why?" replied Kismet.

"Just tell me what the dragon is."

"It's small, so it can be a baby, but it looks like an adult."

"A dwarf dragon. It's Katie's."

"Who's Katie?"

"King Robert's five year old advisor," said Snott as he entered the room with
Queen Sara.

"What are you doing here, Snott?" said Kismet.

"Heicv Ecu is a guest here," said Sara.

"Are you insane?" said Apollo; "He's been trying to kill us."

"I'm not insane."

"She's the only merciful ruler this country ever know," said Stry, "She'll shows
mercy to those who doesn't deserve it."

"Heicv Ecu did nothing wrong. He was just misguided. Soon he will learn the
errors of his way."

"What do you mean?" Snott said.

"The time has come to reveals some secrets. Come follow me," said Sara as she
walked out the door.

The group followed her. Down the halls, up some stairs, through the darkest
parts of the castle. She led them to a round room that has only one door way
that lead in the middle of 19 statues of great kings that ruled Fuxec. And in
the middle was the greatest of all, King Daven.

"This is the room of kings," said Sara.

"Why have you taken us here?" asked Kismet.

"To show you your destiny."

Sara walked to the statue of her brother, and lifted up a loose tile in front of
it. It was a secret compartment with an ax, and a small box. She took out
everything and lied them down in front of them. Then she sat down on the cold
dirty floor.

"Sit down," she said.

Then everyone else sat.

"To find Daven's soul you must find his beloved weapons. The Sword of the Fairy
Queen from the fairies, the Bow of the Elements from the elves, the Daggers of
the Weather from the wizards, the Ax of the Forest from the dwarves, the Mace of
Strength from the orcs, the Blowgun of the Winds from the cat-people, and the
most important one, the Staff of the Kings, the heirloom of our family. Once you
found them all, the holder of the king's soul will be revealed."

"But how will the weapons find him?" asked Wanderer.

"Because he's a great war king. He life depends of the strength of his weapons."

"Who has the weapons?" asked Kismet.

"You have the sword, Apollo has the bow, Stry has the daggers, and the ax is
here."

"But what about the others?"

"This where this comes in," she said as she opened the small box and inside it
was a white diamond, "This was his good luck charm. He took it from the crown of
the first king he ever fought. It will show you towards the others."

"It's beautiful," said Ruby.

Then the diamond floated out of the box by itself and the crystal of light that
hung around Ruby's neck started to rise. The crystal broke from chain and the
two precious jewels emerged into one. The bottom half the crystal and the top
the diamond. And then it flew into Ruby's left hand, going in it.

"It chose you," said Sara.

Ruby looked out her hand and in the middle was the half crystal and half diamond
jewel in it. She touched it with her right index finger.

"Why?" she replied.

"It's your destiny Princess Ruby of the High-Elves."

"I'm no Princess. Besides elves don't have royalty. There's only a hand for left
scattered over the country. And I'm only half woodlands elf, not a great high-
elf. They no longer exist. Just legends and stories you tell children."

"High-elves still exist. I'm a high-elf, so was my brother, and all of the kings
of Fuxec. Have you every notice that all the kings die from being killed not
from sickness or old age. That why I still live. We are immortal."

"But that doesn't make me a high-elf."

"You have Daven's blood flowing through your veins. You're from Daven's first
wife's son. You're his heir. This kingdom can be yours, if you choose it."

"He was married before," said Kismet.

"Yes. The Fairy Queen was his second wife. His first wife was a childhood friend
of his. She died while giving birth to his son. In fact, it was him who put the
spell on the Fairy Queen."

"Man people keep adding more and more on this story. When will it end?" said
Apollo.

"Never," said Wanderer.

"I want to know something. Why is King Robert so interested in taking over the
fairy kingdom," said Snott.

"The same reason my brother wanted it. If you can take over the fairy kingdom,
you can take over the world," said Sara.

"What do you mean?" said Kismet.

"In your land is a temple, and in this temple is a keyhole. There are three keys
that can be place in it, the crystal of light, the dark crystal, and the crystal
of balance. Different crystal will make the fairies do different things. The
crystal of light will make every fairy good, but there are hopeless from any
attack. The dark crystal will make them evil, and they can take over the world.
And the crystal of balance takes all the good from the other two crystals and
balances it out. Right now, the crystal of balance is in there."

"I don't think King Robert know that. He's too blind," said Snott, but then he
remembered something, "Katie. She has him wrap around her little finger and she
has the dark crystal."

"I knew it. I knew it," said Ruby.

"Knew what?" said Stry.

"When Katie was little, she has visions of the world turning evil by her hand.
That why she killed my husband and my dad. She always said she didn't want us to
go through it."

"What do you mean?"

"She's being taken over by some evil, and only a trace of her old self is still
there, and she killed my dad, so he won't see what going to happen. She didn't
want to break his heart about she will do."

"How do you know Katie anyway," said Snott.

"She's my daughter."

"What if she killed Mimir for that reason, she will kill you too. Right?" said
Apollo.

"If she does, it has to be soon before the evil takes her completely over. Then
she won't care what happens to me."

"How sad," said Sara, "We need to get the king fast. Heicv Ecu take the ax and
go with Kismet to find my brother. You must left now!"

This story is turning out completely different from what I planned. But I like
it this way better. But I will tell you this, there will be tons of twists and
turns, so think on what Sara said to Snott, Don't judge a book by its cover.
