This morning she found her Kon plushie tied up with an ace-bandage, and now she's rabid. Guess it doesn't help she defeated Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 2, and avenged Vincent for what his (Sephiroth's) father did to him!

Ch. 2
Meeting the Scientists
----------------------------------------
Ten Minutes Later…
Vincent walks out dressed in his uniform, his hair comb into the neat style it was the day before; his bangs hanging over the left side of his face almost hiding it from view, making him look calm, cool and collected, like nothing can faze him.
Dietrich couldn't help but snicker at the thought of his hair being a mess when he first woke up.
“What's so funny?”, he growls.
“Nothing…”, she says, stopping her snickering the instant she spoke.
“Follow me”, he orders, walking away.
“Yes, Vincent”, she nods, following.
-------------------------------
In the Mansion Dinning-Room…
Two people sit at the table; one a male with unclean looking dark brown or black hair pulled back in a low ponytail and the other a female with glossy brown hair pulled up into a ponytail wrapped in a yellow-cloth, both wearing lab-coats.
The male was the first to look up as Vincent and Dietrich enter the room.
“Morning Vincent, and who might this lovely young woman be?”, the man greets.
“I'm Dietrich A. Hunter, sir”, she replies.
“I'm Professor Hojo, my dear”, the male says, taking Dietrich's hand and kisses the back of it, “It is a pleasure”.
Dietrich bit her tongue in an attempt to not show her disgust, `Fucking creep! Now I'll have to scrub my hand to get rid of his essence!', she thinks, “It's a pleasure to meet you”, she lies.
“You must be the agent they sent to aid Vincent in protecting us”, the woman says warmly, her brown eyes showing the same warmness.
“Yes, ma'am”, Dietrich nods.
“I'm Lucrecia Crescent, pleased to meet you”, the woman introduces, offering her hand out in a welcoming matter.
“Dietrich A. Hunter, pleased to meet you as well”, she replies, shaking the older woman's hand.
Lucrecia puts a hand to her stomach and Dietrich notices that her abdomen was bulging slightly.
“You're pregnant?”
“Yes, I am”, Lucrecia replies, a little flatly.
“How far along are you?”, Dietrich asks, `She should be happy, but why is she sad like she is regretting something?'
“Three months”.
Dietrich notices out of the corner of her eye, Vincent leaving the room like he was in a hurry.
`What is wrong with him? He looked like he was in pain…', she wonders.
“Vincent…”, Lucrecia whispers, tenderly.
“Huh…?”, she slightly gasps, glancing over at the pregnant scientist, `What is going on? Were they in love or something?'
-------------------------------
Sometime Later…
Dietrich walks to Vincent's door, she hesitates to knock, then gathers her courage and knocks.
“Vincent?”, she questions, as she opens the door.
She finds the room empty, the bed neatly made and nothing out of place.
“Vincent?”, she calls out louder.
“He probably went outside to think”, a voice behind her says.
“Lucrecia… You startled me…”, Dietrich gasps, quickly turning around.
“Sorry…”, she softly laughs.
“What the hell is going on with Vincent?”, the female Turk asks.
“What do you mean?”
“Vincent seemed hurt by the fact you're pregnant, why?”
“It's because he is in love with me…”, Lucrecia replies, her eyes down-cast.
“You love him too”, she states, picking up on Lucrecia's emotions.
“Is it that obvious…?”, the female scientist stammers, blushing.
`I was right…', she thinks, “But Vincent isn't the father”.
“That is right, the father is Hojo…”.
“But you love Vincent, why aren't you with him?”
“It's complicated…”.
“What could be so complicated, that you'd ignore your feelings?”
“It is none of your concern…”.
Lucrecia suddenly clutches her abdomen and collapses to her knees.
“Lucrecia!”, Dietrich exclaims, running to her side, “What's wrong?”
“Pain…”, she pants.
“Here lay down”, the Turk says, leading Lucrecia to Vincent's bed, “I'll go get some water”.
As Dietrich ran out of the room, she runs into Vincent in the hall-way.
“Sorry Vincent!”
“Why are you running from my room?”, he coldly asks.
“Lucrecia suddenly collapsed while we were talking…”
“Lucrecia collapsed…?”, he stutters, shock taking over his features.
“Yes, I was hurrying to get her some water!”, she hurriedly explains.
Only to realize Vincent had already vanished into his room, to be at Lucrecia's side.
`He loves her so much, yet something happened. But what?', Dietrich mentally asks herself, as she gets the water.
When Dietrich returns to the room, water in a basin, she sees Vincent holding Lucrecia's hand and speaking to her in a gentle voice, a look of caring concern plastered on his face.
“Lucrecia… are you sure you want to continue the experiment?”, he asks.
“I'm sure…”.
“But it is putting a strain on your body… It might kill you…”, he says, his voice cracking.
“I assure you it is safe…”.
“Lucrecia…”.
Dietrich stood there holding the basin of water, watching the exchange of words.
`Experiment? What experiment? Is it on the baby growing in her womb?', Dietrich wonders, as she places the basin on the night-stand, “How are you feeling?”
“A little better…”, Lucrecia answers.
“Vincent?”
“Yeah?”
“You still haven't told me what the Jenova Project is”.
“Jenova is an Cetra; an ancient, Professor Gast; who has left the Project, and Professor Hojo, injected it's cells into the unborn fetus of Lucrecia's child…”, Vincent explains, visably upset over the experiment.
`I was right! The experiment is on the child!', Dietrich thinks, “I'll leave the two of you to be alone”, she says, turning to leave.
“Dietrich…”, Vincent calls.
“Yes?”
“Thank you for looking after Lucrecia”.
“You're welcome”, she says, smiling before she turns to walk from the room.
While in the hall, Dietrich leans against the wall holding a hand over her heart.
`He looks better when he smiles', she asks herself, she recalls the look on Vincent's face as he cared for Lucrecia, “Vincent…”, she whispers, as her heart starts pounding harder, `I wonder if I can make him smile more offen?', she thinks.
She slides her back down against the wall till her butt is on the floor, feeling exhasted, `I'm glad that I over-slept…', she mentally tells herself.
