"Touched"
"Y ou say that I am too"
"So much of what you say is true"

"I'll never find someone quite like you again"
"I'll never find someone quite like you ...like you"

"The razors and the dying roses"
"Plead I don't leave you alone"
"The demigods and hungry ghosts"
"And god"
"God knows I'm not at home"

"I'll never find someone quite like you again"
"I'll never find someone quite like you again"

"I looked into your eyes and saw"
"A world that does not exist"
"I looked into your eyes and saw"
"A world I wish I was in"

"I'll never find someone quite as touched as you"
"I'll never love someone quite the way that I loved you"

Seifer closed his eyes after reading the words over for the hundredth time. Leave it to emotion to choose a time such as this to write a song worth the charts. And should Seifer really show this song to the rest of the band? Would it be the most appropriate thing? Since Squall now has feelings and all. What would Squall think?

Who knows anymore. Seifer sure as fuck didn't have a clue.

And with the way Squall had leapt/fallen out of bed when Zell walked into the room this morning. Seifer knew it was time to do some mature thinking.

"Seriously?" Selphie asked Kyle.

Kyle nodded. "Right now."

The brunette girl turned to look at Seifer, who was sitting alone, his sky-blue eyes glazed over at the note-binder in his hands. She blinked, watching his expression, then turned back to Kyle.

"Alright then," Selphie agreed, bouncing up from the couch.

Matt slowly stood up after Selphie.

"Seifer?" Selphie said.

The large blonde looked up, seeing the four Chicobo-friends were all standing, watching him. "Eh?" he replied.

"We're gonna head down to the Tonberries rooms," Selphie said. "They're having a party down there. Want to go?"

Seifer shook his head. "I'm pretty tired. And Blood Kiss practice is tomorrow morning."

Selphie nodded. "Okay then!"

"Bye," Matt said to Seifer.

Seifer smiled at him. "See you later."

Then the group of Chicobo-friends left. Seifer was alone, back to staring at his song.

"I'll never love someone quite the way that I loved you"

Seifer frowned at the worlds. This definitely wasn't the type of song he should be showing to Blood Kiss. To Squall. But, he had to admit, it was fucking good. And worth a chart number.

His eyes clenched tightly shut. Fuck, it hurt bad. Never thought it'd feel like this. Never thought he was this head-over-heels for Squall. But it should eventually pass.

Squall didn't look at him with love. Never had. So who was Seifer trying to fool here?

And Squall did care about him now. Surprised the fuck out of the large blonde to find out Squall hadn't cared about anything, not even his life, before the brunette Super Star had meet the tattooed-Chicobo.

Squall was now honestly, wantingly Seifer's best friend. And Squall didn't want to loose him. It was more then Squall had ever given Seifer before. Truly given, because Squall had always done anything Seifer wanted.

They'd been fuck-buddies for two years, boyfriends for the previous two. Squall's blown Seifer in public places, near fucked a few times in the same places as well. And Squall had given control of himself over to Seifer. Seifer took that, without question, without thinking, without reason.

And now, without resolution. Without climax, without resolve. It was over.

Squall wasn't Seifer's. Griever wasn't Seifer's. And The Squall had never been Seifer's. The three sides to Squall's entire being belonged to Chicobo. And that tattooed kid hadn't even tried.

Seifer just hadn't been enough. The entire that he'd given Squall, which was everything that he could possibly give, hadn't been good enough. Hadn't broken through the icy-shell that wrapped around Squall. It hadn't even fazed The Squall from within.

It was simply over.

Seifer blinked, remembering the bath he'd shared with Squall in a previous night.

"Fate... or maybe just time worn Squall down," Seifer mumbled aloud to himself, looking down at the song.

"I looked into your eyes and saw... A world that does not exist"

"If you could only see-," Seifer softly recited the words Squall had used to try to explain what made Zell so special. "-how blue his eyes can be when he looks at me..."

He closed his eyes.

It was over.

How long does it take to get over love? Too long, and sometimes never. Sure, crushes come and go. But Squall was more then Seifer's crush. And it fucking hurt. His chest ached and he felt like... Oh, fuck, he actually felt like crying.

How truly pathetic.

"Mr. Flare?!" the recently-familiar voice of the blonde reporter rang from behind Seifer's hotel-room door.

Seifer took a moment to sit and glare at the door, but mostly blinking back the forming tears. This sure as fuck wasn't the moment to start crying. Like he wanted it to be printed that he - Flare - was crying because Griever left him.

Squall'd left two years ago. Seifer told him to. The only thing that had been present afterwards was their one-sided-friendship, and sex.

Except, oddly enough, because of Zell, the friendship was complete. Even though sex was gone, Squall was truly, honestly, wantingly Seifer's best friend. And Squall'd be heartbroken if Seifer didn't want to be his friend.

Squall actually felt for Seifer.

"Mr. Flare?" the voice repeated.

"Miss Trepe," Seifer replied, pushing up from the couch.

He reached the door and opened it.

"How can I help you, beautiful?" Seifer said, smirking at her.

Seifer's smirk widened to show a single white fang as Quistis' cheeks flushed.

"Earlier at the... party we spoke about a private interview... When would be an appropriate time for that meeting?" Quistis asked, trying to sound as profession as possible.

Seifer stepped back from the door, letting the reporter in. "Right now is as good a' time as any."

Quistis nodded a single stern nod at Seifer then entered the barrier, into the hotel room.

"So," Seifer said, closing the door behind Quistis. "Did you contact animal protection services?"

Quistis turned, her face blank. "Why...?"

Seifer smiled, stepping further into the room. "Since Rinoa Heartilly fucks her dog. I just though you'd call someone."

Seifer could plainly see Quistis holding back a smile. "Must have slipped my mind," she replied.
