The Life of Erin Tribal

Chapter 12

That morning, Celes woke the two girls up. She led them out of the room where Kefka was waiting. He put his right had on Terra's left shoulder and his left hand of Erin's right shoulder and led them to a room that they hadn't been in before.

He sat the two down into separate chairs then went to the back of the room. He grabbed something, a slave crown as a matter of fact, and walked over to Terra. He put it on her, then walked back, grabbed the other one, then put that one on Erin.

For about two minutes, the two just sat there, not knowing what to do. The door finally opened and in walked Biggs and Wedge. They grabbed either one and led them out of the room.

They followed them all the way to where the Magitek Armor was located. They all got into one and all the power cords where removed from them. The armor started moving forward, slowly, then a little faster.

When they reached the shoreline, they all got into a boat then headed for their destination. That night, they arrived at the other continent.

Yet again, they started out. The first time they actually stopped was about a mile before they reached Narshe.

"So, they both know how to use magic?" asked Biggs, looking over at Wedge.

"That's what I've heard. I even heard that the older one here fried many soldiers in three minutes," explained Wedge.

"They should come of some use then. I guess the other girl here, the younger one, is a friend of her," sarcastically said Biggs.

"That's probably why they made them go together. Well, let's get started," said Wedge.

Everyone's armor got started again, and they started marching through towards Narshe. One the way there, it started to snow. Erin's back really started to get cold, but she didn't notice.

When they finally reached Narshe, they stuck Terra in the lead. Right after they entered town, however, some guards spotted them and forced them into battle.

The group won, and started towards the back of town, towards the mines. They were stopped a few times, but they always won the battles.

By the time they had reached the mines, it was really starting to get dark. They got into the mines and the first thing they had noticed was the lighting. Terra was still in the lead, however. They stopped yet again when a gate loomed in front of them.

"Bust it down," said Wedge to Biggs.

Biggs argued though, "Why me? Why can't they do it?"

"Fine then. Argue all you wish. You there," Wedge said, pointing to Erin, "Bust down that gate."

Erin listened, but before they proceeded forward, a guard stopped them.

"You won't get the Esper! Whelk, attack them!" shouted the guard, running back into the mines.

This big, snail-like thing came forward and attacked them. But before they started fighting, Biggs and Wedge started arguing again.

"Whelk, huh? Well, I've heard not to attack it," stated Wedge.

"That's not what I've been told though. I've been told to attack it, but don't attack it shell. Especially don't attack when it's head retreats into its shell. It supposedly counterattacks with something very strong," argued Biggs.

So, the fight started. They attacked with the Magitek armor attacks and healed when the head retreated. Finally, though, it was defeated and they pressed forward yet again.

Just inside the gate was the Esper they had been looking for. They went into a very short battle with it, if one can even call it a battle. The Esper started talking with Terra and Terra started talking back.

Soon, the Esper made Biggs and Wedge disappear, but not Terra and Erin. Eventually, however, they did fall unconscious.
