The Life of Erin Tribal

Chapter 13

Erin and Terra woke up in a house. Erin was the first to wake up though.

She head footsteps in the other room. She sat up and looked around. Terra was in another bed right next to hers. As Erin looked at her, she woke up.

Terra looked at Erin, then at the door. It had just opened.

"Ah yes, you two are awake. I think I better do some explaining once I get your names," the man said.

Erin sighed, and then looked at him. "My name is Erin, and hers is Terra."

"Amazing! I've never seen anyone recover this fast from the effects of a slave crown," he said, "I guess I never told you my name. My name is Argus."

"A what crown?" asked Terra.

"A slave crown. That's why I doubt either of you could control your bodies. It makes you a slave to whomever your with," explained Argus calmly, "Now, I think it might kinda be good on your part, Miss Erin. I saw the back of your shirt. You would've probably felt the freezing cold, just as you will when you leave."

Erin blushed and made sure the strings in the back of her shirt were tight. As she did it, she felt her bare skin that was just starting to warm up.

Just then, a heavy knock sounded on the door.

"Give them back to us. They belong to the empire!" shouted an Imperial guard.

"Run," Argus whispered, and showed them to a back door.

Erin got ahead of Terra and they walked out of there. They heard him answering the door and saying that no one was there.

When they reached the bridge, however, guards spotted them. They both made a breakneck run for a mine entrance they saw. When they got inside, they slowed their paces down to a walk. They reached a small room and soon got cornered. They hit the wall and the floor collapsed under them.

They fell unconscious again. Erin woke up again earlier then Terra, but was still very weak. She looked up and saw a man about 25-years-old. Then, suddenly, guards started storming in and spotted the man with the two girls.

Suddenly, the word Kupo started appearing. It sounded like the "Kupos" where surrounding them in a white cloud. Erin fell asleep, but soon woke up. The man had cleared out the guards and the white things had left.

"Are you ok?" the man asked, helping the two up.

"I think so. Who are you?" asked Erin, looking up him.

"Locke Cole, Master Treasure Hunter," he stated proudly.

"You look more like a Thief to me," said Erin.

"I am not a thief!" he said.

"Let's get outta here," Erin stated, "Could you help Terra?"

"Is that her?" Locke asked, looking over at Terra.

"Yeah," Erin replied.

Locke grabbed Terra. The two of them, with Terra being carried by Locke, ran out of the caves via a secret entrance Locke knew about. They exited town and made camp for the night.
