Squall
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Squall Leonhart was on a ship, returning to the Isle of Balamb. He was returning from an assignment in the continent of Galbadia. He was returning home.
"It's been too long," he said, sitting on the side of the ship.
It has been too long. He'd been gone for three months.
I can't wait to see the look on Rinoa's face when I return," Squall said, as the wind blew his hair.
Squall Leonhart was part of a military unit called SeeD. Rinoa was of it, as well. So were their other friends: Quistis Trepe, Selphie Tilmitt, Zell Dincht, Irvine Kinneas, Seifer Almasy, and his twin sister, Paine.
"Paine," he said, thinking about the last time he saw her.
"We are now docking at Balamb. Please gather your belongings and exit the ship," a voice said over the intercom.
"Home," squall said with a sigh.
Squall gathered his Gunblade and what little belongings he had with him and got off.
"I wonder where Rinoa is?"
Squall decided to pay a visit to Zell's mother.
"Hello? Mrs. Dincht?" he called as he entered the house.
"Who is it?" she asked, walking to the front door, "Oh, hello, Squall. How are you?"
"I'm fine. Where's everyone?"
"Zell's at Balamb Garden. Paine and Seifer are away on assignment. Rinoa and the rest went to Fisherman's Horizon."
"P-P-Paine and Seifer!?!"
"Yeah. They look like a cute couple."
Squall hated the idea that his sister and his greatest rival looked like a cute couple. He decided to push the thought aside and go to Garden.
"I'm gonna head out to Garden. Do you need anything before I go?"
"No, no dear. I'll see you later. Say `hi' to Zell for me."
"I will. Good bye."
Squall took a taxi to Balamb Garden. He paid the cab driver 500 Gil. He walked up to the giant gate which guarded the entrance to Balamb Garden. Squall searched his pockets for his ID card.
"Shit!" he said, as he searched.
He eventually found the card and swiped it through the ID scanner.
"Welcome, Student Number 3574410, Squall Leonhart," a monotonous, electronic voice said as the gates opened.
As Squall walked through the Garden towards his dorm room, he saw flier for something called the "Balamb Sirens."
"I wonder what that is about?"
Squall continued to his dorm. When he arrived at the door, Squall made a bet to himself about how messy the dorm room was. He took a deep breath and opened the door.
"Hmm....finally. Zell learned to clean up after himself," Squall said, taking off his jacket, his white shirt exposing his body.
He slung his jacket over his shoulder and walked toward his bed. While walking, Squall tripped over a book.
"Fuckin'...what the hell is this?"
Squall picked up the book and opened it.
"Hmm...Zell's journal."
A devious smile appeared across Squall's face. He looked in Zell's bed.
"Good. Sound asleep."
He sat down on his bed and read.
"July 14. Squall's birthday is comin' up in a couple of weeks. Too bad he isn't here. He's over at Galbadia doin' some ambassador assignment. At least that's what I heard from Selphie. Anyway, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Squall is hot..."
Squall was in shock. His roommate was in love with him. Squall couldn't help but feel the same way.
"Stop thinkin' like that, Squall," he said to himself and continued reading.
"...I mean, I just feel comfortable when I'm near him. He makes me feel warm in side. My biggest wish is to kiss Squall's lips. But, that'll never happen. Imagine what Paine would think? Oh, the Cherry Blossom festival is comin' up in a couple of months, maybe my wish'll come true. The exact date for the festival is...hold on, lemme check the calendar...it's on November 21st..."
"The 21st, huh? What's today's date?" squall said, taking out his cell phone, "It's November 17th. Only four more days."
He wanted to keep reading, but his conscience wouldn't let him. It ended up being a battle between curiosity and conscience. Curiosity won.
"...I wonder if Squall will be her in time for the festival..."
"You bet I am," snickered Squall.
"...I hope he does. All I wanna do is be with Squall, be he doesn't let anyone in. Not even Paine! His own flesh and blood! His twin sister. Hey, I thought twins are supposed to share things with each other?"
"That's just a stereotype, you dumb fuck."
"Anyway, it's getting late. Someone needs to tell the people next door to cool it down. I guess I'll have to take matters into my own hands. Hee-hee-hee! So, good bye."
"That's it?" Squall said, flipping through the pages of the book, "I guess he got tired of writin'. But instead of writin' it on paper, who does he go to?"
Squall began to yawn uncontrollably.
"Damn! I'm so tired."
He walked over to Zell's bed. He leaned toward the still-sleeping Zell.
"All in due time, my love. All in due time," he whispered into Zell's ear and headed to his bed and began sleeping.
