Chapter 4: Going to Luca…

Exactly two days later, the doors to the temple opened, Chris shook Marjan awake. “What?” He muttered before his eyelids fluttered open, there he saw Livy, Mel and Amanda who looked extremely drowsy. “How’d it go?” he asked. Amanda said nothing, Livy smiled. “It went well…She got Ifrit.” she said brightly, referring to the fire breathing aeon the fayth had given her. Chris smiled. “Good shit…so were we going now?” He asked, Amanda turned away, Melissa’s eyebrow arched slightly. “We?” She replied sarcastically. Marjan sighed. “Yeah we figured we’d tag along…if that’s okay, that is.” Chris said quietly. Amanda turned to look at them. “Would you guys…ummm…” she blushed madly. Melissa rolled her eyes. “She would like you two to come with us-” “As one of my guardians.” Amanda finished. The guys grinned. “Sure…anyway that I can help bring the calm is good for me.” Chris said. “Yeah…”Marjan said, looking at Livy who didn’t dare even glance at him.

“Then we go… the more the merrier…” She smiled, before squinting at the brightness of the sun. “Besides, I want all my journeys to be full of laughter.” She said smiling before deciding to walk ahead by herself.

The four walked behind her. “So why’d she become a summoner anyways?” Chris asked. Melissa shrugged, “I admit I didn’t want her to go, but once she decides on something she just doesn’t change her mind, Livy and I tried and tried to prevent her from becoming a summoner.” Melissa laughed, Chris took into notice of her laugh and smile, the dimples on her cheeks made her seem so sweet, but even behind a sweet appearance lied a innocent girl whose heart had been broken far too many times to be fixed, something inside of him, told him to mend her, to mend her heart and her broken ways.

“We figured if we cant change her mind we may as well support her decision and support her safety.” Livy replied smiling, noticing that Chris had been so caught up in her. She smiled, knowing that there love would eventually spark, but he had a lot to work on in order to flatter Melissa. Marjan glanced at Livy, the cat like eyes locking onto his own brown eyes, but of course she turned away. “Manda wait up!” she squealed before running up to her.

“Do you like him?” Amanda asked. Livy blushed. “No he makes me so MAD!” She pouted, Amanda laughed. “But you do.” Livy sighed. “I know…in a weird kind off way I guess.” The 17 year old sighed before scratching her head. “Think he like’s me back?” she asked hopping on one foot, her happy personality revealing. Amanda smiled and nodded. “I think so.” She stopped walking. “Chris, give me your dagger.” she said. He looked at her funny. “What for?” he questioned, “Just give me it, and Mel one of your elastics.” She said softly. Melissa looked at her suspiciously pulling a braid to the front, holding onto its ends as she handed over the elastic. “I’ll be quick promise.” she said, she pulled back the thick long brown hair, biting her lip slightly she took the dagger to her hair and in 3 brief saws the hair was on the floor. Her up to her chin now, she gave back both the elastic and dagger. “Thank you both.” She said softly. No one dared say anything, the walk continued to stay silent.

“Why’d she do that for?” Marjan muttered, no one responded. Just as he was about to say something again, a 10 foot machine fiend popped out of no where. “Shit.” Chris whistled examining its height. “And how in the fuck are we suppose to get rid of that thing?” He asked stepping back, as a long claw was sent after him, the ground shaking slightly as it continued to attack. “Your not!” A feminine voice replied. They all turned to look at the girl with catlike ears sitting atop of her head on top of the chocobo. “Steph?” Livy and Marjan said together. “Yep yep!” She squealed, before giving off a cat like call, 3 other Chocobo’s coming. “Get on and lets get out of here!”

They got on to the Chocobo’s as quickly as they could, before the fiend used self destruct. The noise erupted threw the highroad. “Where you guys heading too?” She asked, “Luca.” Amanda said quietly. Steph laughed. “Going to see The Blitz match? I hear Luca Goers are doing really well this season.” She said. “And apparently there new captain is extremely good looking. They’ve got a new team member too…Mac something, I don’t know.” she said continuing to rant, slowly tiring the gang out accept Livy. The two continued to laugh and talk.

About 2 days later, they finally arrived in Luca, hungry as ever. They tied the Chocobo’s up and decided to wander around. “Lets get some food.” Chris complained. Marjan laughed. “Yeah I need some food, I’m getting sick of trail mix.” he muttered. Amanda laughed. “Yeah I’m hungry too… lets get…pizza.” She said, pointing to the pizza shop in front of them, they all agreed. They looked back to Steph, the ears and tail were gone. “Hey what happened?” She asked, Steph smiled. “They go away when I want them too…My dad was half demon, and my mom was a human, so I’m like…a half demon I guess.” She shrugged, they nodded.

“Okay I’ll have 6 pizza’s 4 with everything on it, 1 just pepperoni and cheese and the other one Hawaiian.” Chris instructed, the waiter nodded. The two gazed up at the sphere that was up on the ceiling watching the match between the Kilika beasts and the Al Bhed Psyches. “Come on, SCORE ALREADY!” Livy yelled, referring to her favourite team, the Al Bhed Psyches. “Ew what the hell was that!?!” Marjan complained ridiculing the Beasts playing tactics. The two glared at each other, before turning back to look at the sphere. “Come on…SCORES!” Livy squealed, “Dammit!” Marjan muttered. “Ha!” Livy laughed, taking 5 gil from him. “You suck.” She grinned, he couldn’t help but smile back at her, aside from her tough and happy personality, hid an outgoing girl who just wanted to have fun.

The door jingled, as it opened, there a tall male walked in, his jet black hair laid in messy spikes, his attire let you know right away that he was a Blitzer. “Hey Jammu, is my pizza ready?” He asked, the man at the counter nodded handing him the packaged pizza box, he glanced back at the full table, Amanda looked at him, smiling slightly, He smirked back taking the pizza continuing to watch her before almost walking right into the post, he blushed before walking out. Melissa laughed, “Oh looks like someone thinks a Blitzer’s cute!” She laughed, Livy teased her playfully. Amanda blushed. “shut up.” she giggled, Maybe she did find him slightly attractive, even she wasn’t sure yet.
