Chapter 5: Trauma…
“That was good.” Livy said with a short laugh, The others nodded in agreeance. “Lady summoner!” A voice called, Amanda turned and looked at them. “Yes?” she said smiling. “My lady summoner.” they said, giving off the sign of Yevon. “Would you do us the biggest favour? Our songstress fell ill, and its to late to find a replacement, would you do the opening concert? Please! It would be so greatly appreciated.” They begged, Amanda glanced at Livy and Mel. “I don’t know…” She said softly. “Come on Mandie it would be fun! We could dance…right Mel?” Livy chirped. Melissa looked at her, unsure ness in her eyes. She sighed. “Fine.” she said, the guys high fived each other, “We get to watch the game live!” they laughed, Melissa gave them a dirty look. “See you when its over!” Chris said nervously, before the two males ran off.
“Your costumes and attire are in the waiting room, m’lady summoner.” The woman said before bowing. “Costumes?” Melissa asked. “Oh so PRETTY!” Livy squealed before holding up the similar songstress outfit. “I think I’ll just watch…” Steph said placing her hand on the door knob. “Oh no you don’t your dancing just as much as we are!” Melissa growled pulling her back. Steph whined. “Do I have too?” The 3 looked at each other than back at Steph. “YES!” they hollered, before laughing. “Which song anyways?” she asked, Livy looked at the clip board. “Trauma…” She said, her face scrunched up. Melissa looked at them funny. “That’s not even in English, let alone Al Bhed…Kilika’s main language is Japanese…” She replied, Amanda’s eyes widened. “What have I gotten myself into.” She whined. She glanced a the floor before noticing her 3 friends running out of the room. “Guys!” she yelled. “See you after the show! We’ll be rooting you on!” they called as they waved.
“Ugh!” she yelled before slamming the dressing room door. She felt the tears of anger pricking at her eyes, while getting into the costume, she briefly skimmed over the lyrics. A knock on the door disturbed her. “M’lady summoner, are you ready?” The short woman called. “Yes.” She said with a sigh. “Lets get this over with.“ she muttered to herself.
The lights were off it was hard to find where she was going, eventually she noticed the stage was lit up in blue light. The beat started, noticing that was her cue to walk out into the open. As she continued to walk, the crowd began to chant and cheer. “Go Manda!” Livy giggled, while looking into binoculars.
Amanda sighed with nervous, the outfit making her feel almost naked. She opened her mouth and just let the words flow out.

She felt herself getting nervous slightly, she had never done this in front of so many people, but yet she felt her hips swaying to the music, her fear slowly vanishing.
“I’ll be back I’m going to go get a drink or something.” Melissa said, holding up her dress as she walked down the stairs. Not even 5 minutes after she left, A security guard tapped Livy on the solider. “hey you this is VIP only.” He grunted, Livy turned and looked a him, smiling innocently, she turned to run in an opposite direction he grabbed her from behind before, she hit him in the nose with her elbow. “Remember Self Defence buddy.” she laughed, little did she know another one was coming straight for her knocking her straight off her feet, she lost her footing and fell over the balcony, holding onto the edge for dear life. She panicked slightly, trying to think of what she could use to bring her back up, her grip was slowly slipping, the only thing she could do was let go and hope that she’d fall lightly.
The security guard walked over to her, she held her breath and let go, he ran over to the balcony and watched her fall. “Believe.” she muttered to herself. Before being caught in someone’s arms. She opened her eyes before noticing it was Marjan holding her, worry in his eyes. “Are you alright?” He asked, checking her over, for cuts or bruises. “I’m fine…thank you so much.” she said, before pulling him into a swift embrace. He was caught off guard slightly. He felt her chest moving slightly, before he noticed she was crying. “Hey…why are you crying?” He asked. “I was so scared…and that big meanie tried to like …KILL ME!” she said while pouting, he smiled slightly at her, before wiping away the last of her tears. “Don’t worry I’ll take care of him…I think we started off on the wrong foot, your fun to be around, and I’m hoping we can be friends, we are protecting the same summoner and all.” he said. Livy smiled and nodded. “Deal,” she replied while shaking his hand.

Melissa noticed them on the 3rd floor now. “Hey…how’d you get down here so fast?” She questioned. “Well it turns out…the 4th floor is for VIP only…and I kinda knocked out one of the security guards…and I was just ummm hanging around and I fell and Marjan caught me.” She said while smiling a toothy grin. Melissa looked at them confused. “Right…Well Steph is outside talking to some woman claiming to know how to get rid of sin, personally I think she’s a little nuts, but anyways…looks like she’s almost done.” She said referring to the concert.

Melissa looked him over. “Not my type, she can have him.” She said while smirking, Livy scoffed and laughed. “Be nice…she must see into his soul or something…he looks kinda cold hearted and mean…like he’s been hurt to many times or something.” She said, confusion sweeping over her face.
“Olivia Marie, Melissa Brittany, and Stephanie Ann I am going to KILL YOU!” Amanda growled. They all smiled innocently at her. “Do you realize how nerve wrecking that was?!?!” she screeched. “Hey toots shush where watchin the game.” Chris said. “Game this!” She yelled before punching him in the gut. He nearly gagged on his hot dog, but said nothing else. “Aww come on Manda, you did good.” They smiled. Amanda sighed. “Fine whatever.” She muttered before storming off. “That girl needs anger management.” Chris grunted. Melissa looked at him. “No you just need to learn when to open your mouth and when not too, you will never understand women.” She said coldly. He pretended to feel hurt. “Ouch Mel, that just broke my heart.” He laughed. “Moron.” she said under her breath while rolling her eyes, putting her focus back into the game.
