Its been two months now since it happened. Seifer is still in a coma. Because he was military and the attack occured on base, the corp has an intense ongoing investigation. According to the evidence gathered so far, this was a hate crime. Several other military persons that were openly gay or lesbian were targeted. So far there are no leads or suspects, they have the DNA samples from under Seifer's nails and the seimin I collected. But they have nothing to compare it to. Seifer was granted honorable discharge due to medical complications and due to his rank will continue to recieve his full benefits. The ordeal has been kept from the media, which is for the best. He doesnt need that right now. I was not given discharge but instead I was given a recruiter position and medical leave until Seifer has recovered enough to go home on his own.
The hospital staff, the 9-1-1 dispatcher, Dr. Kinneas and Reno, and Dr. Reeve have all come by to visit with me and check up on Seifer. I hope he wakes up soon so he can meet the wonderful people that saved his life.
*knocking on the door"
" 'ello Squall! Just thought I drop by before my shift and see how our boys were doin! Any changes?"
"Oh hello Dr. No, no changes today. They took him off the respirator yesterday so he is breathing on his own. His doctors say that he should be waking up soon. Hopefully he will today. Are you going to be staying long? I was just about to give him his bath and a shave. I could use some help to roll him over, if your not in a hurry?"
"Nope I have some time. I will step out into the hall and get some clean linnens and towels. Why dont you go ahead and get him ready?"
Dr. Kinneas stepped out of the room and I heard some voices outside. He must have run into the doctor taking care of Seifer. I walked into the bathroom and grabbed the soap, shampoo and conditioner, and the shave kit I brought from home. I brought them into the room. As soon as he came into view I dropped everything and screamed. He was awake and looked terrified.
"Siefer! Your awake!"
Very slowly I walked toward him and he smiled and opened his arms.
"Of course I am sexy! I heard you say something about a bath...And well you can figure where that led my mind to..."
All I could do was throw myself into his waiting arms and cry. The doctors and nurses came running into the room after they heard me scream.
"Squall is everything ok? Why were you..."
As soon as they saw Seifer awake the doctor in charge of his case walked over to talk to us.
" Well Mr. Almasy, welcome back to the world of the living. Let me be the first to say, you look like hell. How are you feeling right now?"
" Well thanks doc! I am hungry, my head hurts a little bit, my throat is dry and killing me but other than that I feel like hell. But now that I know Im alive and hold my love again, I will be fine."
Everyone laughed. Except me, I just kept my face burried in his sholder the tears still falling.
"Ok everyone not assighned to this case needs to get out! I need to check the patients wounds and he does not need all the added stress. You can come back in a while."
Everyone else left the room and I tried to leave as well and a pair of skinny arms held me tight.
"Your not goig anywhere love. I aint got nothin you never seen."
He wiggled his eyes in a seductive manner and for the first time in a while I laughed.
"I dont want to be in the doctors way."
"Oh know, you will actually be a big help. First of all Mr. Almasy, I need to ask you some questions. First of all, do you know where you are?"
"I am guessing im in Alameda Medical, on the step down floor."
"Correct. Do you have any idea what the date is?"
"How long have I been out?"

"Then my guess is August 12, 2013."
"Ok good. Can you remember anything from what happened to you?"
This question was hard for him. I could see it in his eyes and on his face. That look said he could remember in vivid detail.
"Yeah, Doc. I remember very well what happened up untill I blacked out from the blood loss. Then I remember waking up for a few breif moments calling out for Squall to save me then darkness again."
"Well Im glad there is no memory loss. Can you move your legs and feet?"
Seifer picked up each leg one at a time and rotated his feet and wiggled his toes.
"All in working order. And before you ask no my ass dont hurt no more.All that down there is in working order to. Being that close to my lover and him mentioning the promise of a bath later assured me of that."
By this point I didnt no if I should laugh or knock him over the head as I hid my face in embarrasment. The stupid doctor laughed.
"Ok well lets see how well your legs are working. Do you think you can sit on the edge of the bed and then stand up?"
"I think so. I me be a little wably but lets give it a try. Baby, can you come over here so I can brace myself on your shoulder?"
I walked around to the other side of the bed and put both rails down as he swung his legs over the side of the bed, I lowered the bed and the head down flat. He waited until the sudden dizzy spell wore off and placed his hands on my sholders to brace himself to stand. In just a few minutes he was standing.
"Aw fuck! That stung a bit.."
""Seifer, what is it what hurts?"
"Dont worry babe! When you have been layin down for two months like that then just stand up, you might tweak a few unused muscles. Nothing broken or torn"
"Ok Mr. Almasy, if you feel stable enough why dont you try taking a few steps?"
He let go of my sholders and held onto my hand as he started walking slowly. He seemed to be doing fine until he reached the chair at the other side of the room.
"Hang on babe, I gotta rest a minute."
"No, no that was great work! You went further than I had expected. Are you having any pain in your lower extremeties?"
"Haha. No doc. My legs are a little sore and Im a bit out of breath but all in all I feel fine. When can I eat something?"
"Well I guess I can go ahead and write some orders. But I want you to start off slow and work your way back to normal. Start off with soft things. We had to do alot of repairs to your diaphram and intestines and I want to make sure those are completely healed before allowing you to eat alot of solid foods. Since you can walk fairly well I have the nurse come in and take out your catheter. If you like I can have her take out your IV's too. You wont need them anymore. That way you can get a real shower. Do you have any other questions??
"Uh yeah doc just a sec, Squall can you run downstairs and get me something to eat lilke ice cream or something? I am starving!"
"Yes Seif. Any flavor in particular?"
"Vanilla if they got it.."
As soon as I was out the door, I knew what he was about to ask and it made me blush bright red.
"Ok Doc, when am I cleared for sex?"
" I figured you would ask that. So before I answer that, let me ask you a personal question. Are the giver or the receiver?"
"Usually im the giver. But even if I wasnt Squall wouldnt even attempt it this soon after the rape."
"Alright then. As soon as you feel your ready for it. Though I would suggest giving yourself time to let your strength build back up."
"Thanks doc. Oh when can I expect to go home? I mean I am sure you will want to run some tests and have me do some PT but how much time are we talkin?"
"Well actually I was waiting to see how you handle food and using the bathroom. If you can handle that well enough with out too many complications I will let you go home in a couple of weeks.The physical therapy you can handle from home. The ice cream is a good starter food. If you can handle it I would suggest moving on to something a little more solid like bread. Gradually work your way up from there. If there are no more questions, I need to go write your orders and see my other patients. I will come back later this evening to see how everything went."
With that he left the room. As soon as he walked out I went back in.
"You dummy. You know your lactose intolernt. I got you some jello instead. So what did the doctor say?"
"Well he said that if I can eat and shit without getting sick or hurting myself I will get to go home in a few weeks."
I shook my head at him. Its hard to believe he was a ranking officer with that mouth of his. The next thing I know a hand grabs my arm and pulls me down.
"Seifer! We shouldnt do this yet! You just came out of a two month coma! I dont want you..."
That was all I could get out before my lips were claimed.
"Baby, I wont get hurt as long as we are careful. I missed holding you and right now I need this. Not just because Im horny as hell but because of the night mares that still haunt me. Please Squall..."
I knew I could not tell Seifer no after that confession.
"Alright. But first your getting a shower. You smell."
Seifer just laughed. There was a knock at the door and the nurse came in and took out the catheter and two iv's. The first thang Seifer did was use the bath room which seemed to please the nurse because she left soon after. When he was done with his shower, Seifer called me into the bathroom. I could tell by the sound of his voice he was exhausted. I went in and helped him into his pajama pants and together we slowly walked back over to the bed so he could lay down.
"Baby Im so sorry but I think I need a nap firs. I know I slept for 2 months but I am exhausted now."
"Thats ok love. I am going to take this oppertunity to go home and get a shower and some clean clothes. I also need to make some phone calls to let everyone know your ok. They are going to wanna come see you as soon as they can."
"Babe hold off on calling anyone untill after I talk to the MP's and who ever is running my case. I know who it was that attacked me. And I dont want to put you in danger. Instead of going home, why dont you call someone and have them bring you something. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if this happens to you. Use your cell and call the CO and who ever is involved with my case. I want those bastards caught before we go home." I knodded and grabbed my phone. I called the powers that be and gave the phone to seifer. He explained what he knew and they said that everything would be taken care of. When he hung up I could see the look of relief in his eyes.
" Chase just told me that they had the guys in custody already. Appearently tsomeone overheard the guys bragging about it at the officer's club and turned them in. I went ahead and gave my statement so they wont come up here tomorrow."
I nodded at him and leaned down to give him a kiss.
"Ok well in that case I am going to go home. I have my gun, love as well as that whistle you gave me. If anyone that looks suspicious comes near me they will wish they hadnt."
He had fallen asleep. I smiled at him and walked out of the room. In the hall I saw the medheli pilot that had helped save Seifer.
"Hey Reno! You lookin for me?"
"Yo shorty! Yeah as a matter of fact I was. I got a call from Irvine saying Seifer had woke up. Thats great news. I hoping to meet the guy."
""Oh well he is taking a nap right now, but if you want to wait here I am sure he will be awake again before I get back. I just need to run home for a while but I should be back in a couple of hours."
He nodded and sat down in the waiting area.
