" Hi, there!" I said cheerfully as me and Max walked towards the prince. Me and Max bowed towards Prince Ken.

" Please," said Ken," I prefer you treat me like you treat others."

" Why is that?" asked Max.

" Well, the mission might turn out to be long," said Prin- I mean Ken," So I want to be treated like if I wasn't part of royalty."

" I know!" I said out of nowhere," You're like a princess who wants to be normal and ends up falling in love with a man. Except you're a prince!" Everyone stood there, silently looking at me," I was just kidding!" I said.

" What's the situation, Ken?" asked Max.

" Well, it has something to do with my uncle, King Ephraim," he explained," I don't know what's wrong with him but everyone believes that he wants war."

" WAR?!" Max and I said at the same time.

" Yes," he continued," And we also believe he managed to bring these creatures that are controlled by the darkness. Forde!" he called out.

" Well, what a surprise," said Forde as he came out," It's the sexy cleric that I was talking about, Prince Ken."

" I'M NOT A SEXY CLERIC!!!" I said in rage.

" Show them the picture you drew," commanded Ken.

" Right," said Forde, emotionless. He took out a picture that had a picture of the thing that attacked me in the Carcino Mountains.

" No way!" Max and I said at the same time.

" Yes way," said Ken," We know this because his wife, my aunt, Queen L' Arachel, once confronted him and tried to stop him. He just pushed her aside, literally."

" Wait a minute," I said," This isn't how I imagined King Ephraim to be! My parents told me that he was perfect to be King of Renais! How could he bring this war he wants and horrible creatures?!"

" That,too, wonder that," Ken told us and he was crying. Our new recruits were surrounding him," I want you to help me, my mother, Queen Eirika, my aunt, Queen L' Arachel, my father, Knight Seth, and all of Renais to find out what he wants. I can't bear to see someone of my own blood cause so much pain."

" Who's Seth?" asked Max.

" Well, it started when my mother was in the battle of the Dark Demon. A year after they defeated him, she managed to have an affair with the knight, Seth," he said," But it then it turned into something much greater. But they kept it a secret."

" So we're going to see King Ephraim!" I said," But why do you need us?"

" Because he will do whatever it takes so no one will find out what he's up to," he said," That even means that he''ll go to battle. Are you up to this?"
