Chapter One
“How do I know you won’t cage him anyway?” whispered Tohru.
“You’ve gotten smarter, Honda-san,” Akito smirked. “But I give you my word.”
Her wide blues stared up at him, “I can’t believe that.”
“You amaze me Honda-san.” Akito lifted her chin, “you will know. No, don’t argue. I will write you every month.”
Tohru nodded, “promise?”
Akito chuckled, “I promise, Honda-san.” He lifted her to her feet, and gave her a gentle hug. He led her out the door, “try not to worry.”
Tohru smiled, “I’ll try Akito-san.”
“Remember. No contact.”
She nodded, “no contact.” She shut the door behind her. Hatori stopped her. “Ha-san!” she said brightly.
“Tohru-san, did he hurt you?”
She shook her head with a smile, “no. He didn’t hurt me.” The doctor walked her to the gates of the Sohma property. “Hatori-san?” she questioned.
“Yes Tohru-san?” He turned to look at her.
“I’m sorry,” she leaned up and kissed his cheek. “Tell everyone I love them.”
The next day, Tohru Honda had vanished.

“She’s not here! I can’t find her anywhere!” Kyo shouted.
Yuki looked up, “can’t find her..?”
“Tohru! She’s gone! Her room is empty! All her stuff is gone!”
“WHAT?!”
Shigure sighed. He knew this day would come. “She’s gone.”
Kyo stared, “why?”
“I don’t know Kyo.” He sighed again, “but she’s gone. And she isn’t coming back. I suggest you forget that she ever lived here.”
Kyo growled angrily, running off into the surrounding woods. Yuki looked away, “was it Akito?”
“Hai.”
Yuki nodded, “is she safe?”
Shigure nodded, “hai.”
Yuki nodded once, “is she happy?”
“Iie...but she will be.”
“Good.”
Yuki turned towards the window, where a crow flew past.
