Kyou’s POV
Maybe, for now I should stop thinking about it. I should use the term ‘Live life to it’s fullest’. And live out my live as best I can. Do what I want, and get the answers to things I want to know.
But the thing I really want to know, is why I’ll be locked up.
I’ve heard that the tradition started with the last cat. Shisou’s grandfather. Perhaps, I should ask him if he knows the reason.
Normal POV
“Baka neko!” Kyou’s thoughts were, once again disturbed by Yuki, whom was currently leaning up against the locker next to Kyou’s
“What is it?!” Kyou yelled back.
“Hurry up, I want to get home.” Yuki responded dully.
Kyou blinked. Where was Tohru?
Yuki, as if he were able to read minds, answered. “Honda-san has to work all day today, so it’ll just be us tow on the way home.” Yuki said with a sigh.
For almost the whole walk home, they both managed to keep quiet, not to fight, or annoy the hell out of eachother.
Until....
Kyou just couldn’t take the silence anymore. Something kept plaguing his mind. Why was Yuki with him? He hated him ne? So, why were they walking home together? Yuki had even waited for Kyou at his locker
“Oi, kuso nezumi?” Kyou said simply, gaining the other boys attention.
“What is it?” Yuki sighed, his voice holding annoyance.
“Why are you walking home with me? And, why’d you wait for me?” Kyou asked, gaining a confused look from Yuki.
“We live together baka neko.” Yuki said. They’ve walked home together before, why was Kyou bringing it up now?
“I _know_ that! But you waited for me. Why did you do that?” Kyou tried again, hoping to get a good answer from the nezumi.
“I don’t know! Why are you asking me this? You never cared before.” Yuki said as they approched their house, Yuki took out a key, and Kyou stopped dead in his tracks.
‘Yes, I did always care. But, I never asked. Because I had time. I had time to ask these questions. But, now, now I need answers.’ Kyou thought to himself as he caught up with Yuki, both boys walked inside.
“Shigure? Are you here?”
No answer. Nope, they both guessed that he was with Hatori, or something else...Not liked they needed to know.
“Well. It’s Saturday, no school tomorrow, and no one’s home except us. Why don’t we actually do something instead of staying here.” Kyou suggested, and annoyed tone in his voice.
He finally decided what he wanted to do. He wanted to mend his broken friendship with Yuki, before he was locked up. Why? Because once he was locked up, no one would tear them a part, and he didn’t want to hold any grudges. And, he also wanted to make Tohru happy. Tohru always wanted them to be friends, and she would finally get her wish.
Yuki raised his eyebrows, shocked at Kyou’s suggestion.
Do something? Together?! The baka neko?
“I guess.” Yuki agreed, unsure of his decision. Why would he want to hang out with the baka neko? Yuki just shrugged it off, and used the excuse that he was just bored.
“Ok, well. Christmas is coming soon. And, I haven’t gotten anything yet, so you want to go shopping?” Kyou suggested once again.
Yuki sighed. Yeah, Kyou was right. He needed to buy gifts. Gifts for everyone.
“Yeah, ok. I’m going to go change, and get money, than I’ll be right down.”
Kyo nod his head.
“Same here.”
Both boy’s went upstairs, into their separate rooms. To get changed, and to get money.
Both boys, clad in their own clothes, money in their pockets met downstairs, ready to go.
“So, where do you want to go?” Yuki asked.
“Let’s just go into town, you know the mall that’s there?” Kyou said as both boys walked out together, not speaking a word.
When they finally got to the small mall, it was packed. But, only two week’s before Christmas, it was understandable.
“Well, where to start? Who do you want to shop for first?” Yuki asked, looking through the crowded halls of the mall.
“I guess we’ll get something for Shigure first. Do you want to go half on a kimono for him?” Kyou asked. Lately, Shigure has been ‘hinting’ about how his kimono was so old, so Kyou figured it was a good idea to get him a new on.
“Sure.” Yuki responded. Both boy’s walked into an old traditional store, searching through the aisles of what style to get their cousin. After about 20 minutes, they finally found something, that Shigure would definitely wear. They paid, and found their way out of the crowded store.
“That was easy.” Yuki said, following Kyou to wherever he was walking to.
Over the next five hours, they stopped in about every store they could get into, buying a present almost for everyone in their family. Which wasn’t exactly an easy task.
“Oi, Kuso nezumi?” Kyou called to Yuki, gaining his attention. “I’m going to the bathroom, I’ll meet you in front of the toy store in 15 minutes.” With that said, Kyou was off. Leaving a puzzled Yuki standing in front of the video game store.
“It takes him 15 minutes to go to the bathroom?” Yuki asked himself, quickly shaking off the though as he entered a nearby store.
They had gotten presents for everyone except Hiro, but they both decided they’d get him a video game. Yuki had gotten a present for Akito, out of fear of what might happen if he didn’t. So the only person he really needed a present for, was Kyou.

“Kuso nezumi...I just have to get him something don’t I?” Kyou asked himself as he walked through the aisles of a store, searching for something to get the other boy.
“We’ve never exchanged presents before, so why am I starting now?” Kyou asked himself as he grabbed something. Yes, it would be perfect for Yuki!

“$47.93 please.” Yuki took out his money and handed the lady the amount. She gave him some change, and handed him a bag.
“I sure hope Kyou...likes this.” He said as he made off towards the toy store. The 15 minutes were just about up.
Upon reaching the store, both boy’s walked inside, finishing up their presents by buying Hiro 2 video games.
“What are you doing?” Yuki asked as he followed Kyou into a nice little restaurant located at the very end of the mall.
“I don’t know about you, but I’m hungry!” Kyou yelled as he entered, followed quickly by Yuki.
As both boy’s entered, they looked curiously at the tables. Each table had either a man and a woman, a woman and a woman, or a man and a man. No more than 2 people per table. Hmmm, interesting.
“Hello. Follow me please.” The lady said cheerfully, too cheerfully in the opinion of Kyou and Yuki.
She led them to a table, and gave them a menu. Leaving them to decide what they wanted. But before leaving, she whispered something. “You two make an adorable couple!”
Both boys almost fell off their chairs in shock.
“What the hell did she mean by that?!” Kyou questioned Yuki, whom was currently reading a sign.
“Baka neko! Why’d you take us here? The sign say’s it’s couple’s night! That’s what she meant by that! She thought we were a couple.” Yuki said in disgust.
Kyou’s eye’s widened as he saw the sign. He quickly got up, practically dragging Yuki with him.
“Baka neko! Where are we going now?” Yuki asked, annoyance obvious in his voice.
“Home, I am not going to be in a couples restaurant with you!” Kyou yelled, letting go of Yuki’s arm as they left the mall, and began to walk home.
“Who’s that for?” Yuki asked, seeing an extra bag in Kyou’s hand. Kyou’s eye’s widened as he put it in a bigger bag.
“None of your business kuso nezumi!” Kyou responded.
“Baka neko. I was just asking.”
The rest of the walk home was silent, neither boy saying a word to eachother.

That was fun to write ^.^ Oh, I left out what they got eachother, because I want it to be really good, and I still have to decide what it is, if you have any suggestions, please tell me!
See, no romance yet. No interaction will happen until New Years. Which won’t be for a few more chapters. They won’t make out for a while ^^; When I said slowly falling in love, I meant it! This is going to be a long story. It’ll be in two parts. And yes, it’ll be finished! I won’t abandon it!
