Fumito's eye's widened. He stared at Kenji for a long while.

"You found who?" he asked.

Ryou sighed. "Kenji, you really shouldn't have told him."

"Like hell you shouldn't have told me!" Fumito shouted. "I'm a part of the zodiac, I have a right to know these things!"

"No one's saying you don't." Kenji said, calmly. "We just didn't want you to go balistic like the last time we found a new member."

"I didn't go balistic!" Fumito shouted.

"You went on a rampage through the Sohma main house and when you found them you nearly made them pass out from so many questions." Ryou stated.

"Well, I won't do it this time!" Fumito said. "Plus, that was a while ago. . ."

"I still don't want you seeing them just yet . . ." Ryou said.

"Why not!"

"They've had a hard life and finding out that they're a part of the zodiac probably just made it a whole lot harder!" Ryou said.

"Kenji," Fumito looked at the blonde next to him. "What do you think?"

Kenji looked back at Ryou and then to Fumito. He sighed. "Ryou, you know that Sumi has been doing so much better lately. I think it will be good for her if she meets more zodiac members."

"What?!" Ryou shouted.

"I believe that that is the best thing for her right now. She needs to get introduced to her new family." Kenji said.

"Great." Fumito said. "So what's the cat's name? Sumi, did you say Kenj?"

"Yes I did. And I also told you not to call me Kenj."

"Aw, your no fun Kenj . . ." Fumito wined. "So, you brought the car?"

Kenji nodded.

"Good, lets head out then." Fumito sneered and pushed his way through Kenji and off to the elevator.

Sumi walked out the door of the main house.

She felt the cooling wind lick her cheeks. She loved it outside. Sumi felt like collapsing and falling asleep right there. It was so peaceful. Right now she needed peace, after all the information Tadashi had just given her . . .

As Sumi stod there, eye's un focused, she felt something that she hadn't felt sense she became a Sohma. She felt hollow.

When she was living with her dad, she often felt that way. Cold and hollow, like a tree. A tree that couldn't shed leaves and had to stay with the some old ones through out the year. It hurt her insides to think of her father.

He was so cruel to her and the flooding memories came back all at once. All the talk of sorrow with Tadashi really put Sumi's life in perspective for her. She wasn't that bad off, her father just got a little to many joints sometimes and he needed a vent for his anger.

And no matter how many times she told herself she hated him, she couldn't. He was her father and nothing could change that. But when he threatened to kill Hitoshi, her brother, something snapped. But in truth she barley thought about her brother now. Sumi's original family seemed so distant sense she started living with Kenji, Ryou, and Kaya.

Thinking about it now, she felt guilty . . .

Sumi was so deep in thought that she didn't notice that she had been standing, completely still, outside the main house. She sighed again, and slowly walked out toward her house.

She then stoped.

'I honestly don't feel like having Kaya ask were I was when I get back. Also what if Ryou and Kenji are back? What will they say?' she wondered. Sumi then looked at the entrance of the Sohma estate. 'Maybe i'll go through town, just to get away for a while.'

With her discision made, she changed direction and headed for the gate. She would go and look at some shops, maybe see some parks. It would be the perfect opertunity to clear her head. Plus she didn't feel like going back to reality yet.

The phones sharp ringing traveled through the house.

Kaya woke up instantly at the sound. Sheets rustliing, she hastily shook her head and opened her eyes. She was never a very deep sleeper.

She pulled the covers of, confirming that her short nap was over. A phone was right downstairs and she quickley rushed over to it.

"Hello?" she asked in her normal cheery voice.

"Um, is there a Sumi who lives here?" asked an unfamiliar feminine voice.

"Ya, who's calling?" Kaya was very curious to who this was. 'Didn't Sumi say that her friend was gonna call? Maybe this is her!' she thought.

"Uh . . . it's Yuiri, Sumi's friend from school."

"Oh ya! Sumi said you would call!" Kaya shouted loudly. "I'll go get her."

And with that Kaya swiftly traveled around the house to find the orange haired girl. Kaya reached every room to find no trace of Sumi at all. Pushing her eyebrows together worriedly, Kaya desperatly looked around again for the teenaged girl.

But to no avail. She couldn't find her . . .

"Sumi! Sumi!" Kaya shouted behind every door and behind every cupboard. "Come on! Here Kitty Kitty! . . . Sumi!"

In exasperation Kaya went to the phone. She picked it up to her ear and told the caller that Sumi was no were to be found.

"Are you sure, do you have any idea were she is?" Yuiri asked worriedly

"Ya, sorry Friend of Sumi's, I'll have to have Kitty call you back. Bye." Kaya hung-up swiftly and looked over at the phone.

The numbers on the phone looked all jumbled and Kaya couldn't remember the number she needed to call. Kaya frowned and went into the kitchen were a list of phone numbers were. Finding the one she needed she got back and carefuly dailed the numbers.

She pressed the phone to her ear. The distant ringing of connection, with the phone she was calling, came. She waited for two rings before the familiar voice traveled to her ear.

In the car, Kenji sat at the wheel, carefuly driving his brother and their guest. Kenji didn't dare to look back at Ryou, who was in the back seat. Ryou wasn't in the best of moods anyway, and having Fumito here didn't help much.

Kenji looked at Fumito, who was in the passenger seat. For some reason, Ryou had never liked the maroon haired man. If Kenji remembered correctly, it happened quite suddenly. On day Ryou just felt discusted when ever he was near Fumito.

Kenji looked back at the road and sighed. 'Just concintrate on the road . . .' he told himself.

The cell phone in his pocket started ringing. Kenji mumbled impaciently as he reached into his pocket with one hand still holding the steering wheel. He looked at the caller and saw the wors "Home" on the small screen.

'Hope everythings alright. Kaya knows only to use my phone for emergencies and I dont think Sumi even knows my number . . .' Kenji thought worriedly.

He pressed the answer button and put the phone to his ear.

"Hello?" He asked speaking into the phone.

"Kenji! I'm here at the house all alone and I cant find Kitty Sumi!" Kaya's high voice was frantic and worry encirled her words.

"Wait a second. What do you meen you can't find Sumi?" Kenji asked her gently. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Ryou's head shoot up and look in his direction.

"I don't know! I was upstairs and then her friend called and I looked for her, but I couldn't find her, even after I yelled really- "

"Okay Kaya, calm down. Do you have any idea where she could be?" Kenji was trying to be the calm and mature one, but he felt him self slowly slipping out of his calm exteriour.

"No! I have no idea . . .maybe we should look around the Sohma estate? She mighht have went for a walk and gotten lost."

"I doubt it Kaya, Sumi already knows the estate pretty well . . . I think we should check around town." Kenji looked over at Ryou in the back seat. Ryou looked back, determind, and nodded. "Yes, I'll come over to the house and pick you up."

"But we need to find her soon!" Kaya whinned. "You won't get here fast enough!"

"Stop the car, Kenji." Ryou said sternly.

Kenji looked back at Ryou, surprised. But obeyed and pulled over to the curb. "What are you going to do?"

"I'm going out to look for her. She could be kidnapped for all we know, and if she is she'll be far away by the time we go and come back with Kaya." Ryou answered as he steped out the car. Ryou hastily slamed the door and started looking for any sighn of an orange head.

Ryou hadn't the slightest idea were to start looking for Sumi. He guessed that he should just start looking around crowded places and ask people if they had seen a girl with bright orange hair. Ryou had no other choice and he wanted to find her as quick as possible.

Fumito sat, puzzled by what was taking place.

He heard Kaya's fantic voice coming through the phone. Fumito looked at Kenji and saw that he was in a stupified gaze. Kenji seemed to be fighting himself on how to handle the situation. Fumito could see his eyes darting to Ryou, back to the cars traveling past them, and to Ryou again.

Fumito was a person who hated being left in the dark. He had a right to know these things.

'Why are they keeping so many things from me?' he asked himself. No one answered his puzzled question and Fumito felt the need to know. He was never a patient person.

In an instant, Fumito grabbed Kenji's cell phone and put to his waiting ear. He could still hear Kaya's desperate yells to try and contact her older cousin.

"Kaya? This is Fumito, whats going on?"

"Fumito? What are you doing with Kenji and Ryou?" Kaya asked ernestly.

"Don't worry Kaya, now tell me whats going on. . . " Fumito tried to be patient, he was never very good with children. "Did the cat run away or something?"

He heard light sniffles from the other end. "I don't know! I'm so scared right now! Please hurry and get me!"

Fumito looked at Kenji, surprisingly still in the daze. Fumito grabbed Kenji's hand stiffly. Kenji perked up and looked at the zodiac member next to him. Fumito met Kenji's gaze.

Still grasping Kenji's hand, Fumito put the mouth peice to his lips again. "We're on our way Kaya . . ." he finally said.

Kenji nodded in understanding. Fumito let go of his hand and Kenji grabbed the steering wheel and drove off to the Sohma estate.

Ryou was tired. He had been searching for Sumi for what seemed like hours. Every time he had seen even a flash of red or orange, he had emidiatly rushed toward it. This had earned Ryou a few embarassing moments but he was still as determind as ever.

He looked up at the sky. Why was he so worried about Sumi anyway? He had met her, what? A week or so ago. Ryou had never been so worked up over a person he knew so little about.

Then Ryou sighed. That wasn't true, he knew more about her than she would like. He was ashamed to admit that Sumi was the only thing he looked for during school. He was much to affraid of what would happen if he actually spoke to her of course. But still, if he wanted to paint her correctly, he had to memorize her movements.

Ryou shook his head. He needed to be looking for her not thinking about her.

'Not that thinking about her is so terrible either . . .' he thought.

Exactly across the street from Ryou, three teens sat on a bench.

One, a girl with plum colored hair was slowly sucking on her ice cream. The two others, both boys sat bored on the bench.

"Sis, can we please go to the arcade or somethin'?" asked Bin to his sister.

"Bin, you to play far to many video games all ready." Yuiri annoced logicaly while taking another bite of her ice cream. "Besides, to many video games wil rot your brain."

"And to many ice creams wil make you fat . . ." retorted the other boy, Youki.

"What did you say freshman?" Yuiri glared at the green eyed boy.

"I said the it will-"

"Shhh! Youiki!" Yuiri said suddenly as she watched a figure across the street. Her eyes g;azed over in aw as she stared at her long time crush across the street. "It's Ryou . . ."

"Huh?" Bin asked. He followed Yuiri's gaze and sure enough saw Ryou looking franticaly around. "Looks like he's looking for someone."

"Is Sumi with him?" Youki asked, curiously, forgeting all about his spat with Yuiri.

"Why?" Yuiri teased. "You wanna kiss her?"

Her desired affect happened and Youki emidiatly turned red. "What the- where the hell did ya get that idea?"

"Maybe it's the fact that you were drooling all over her at lunch . . ."

"Oh ya! You're one to critisize about drooling over people! What were ya doing two seconds ago?!"

"Yelling at you!" Yuiri screamed.

"Excuse me . . ." said a deep voice from infront of them. Yuiri emidiatly looked up and blushed as she saw Ryou standing infront of them. "Aren't you Sumi's friends from school?"

"What's it to ya?" Youki asked.

"I was wondering if you had seen her around at all?" Ryou asked, trying to ignore the snide remark.

"Why is she lost?" Bin asked worriedly.

"We're not sure, we just can't seem to find her . . ." Ryou said.

Yuiri suddenly thought back to earlier this afternoon, she was going to ask if Sumi wanted to come walk around with them. The little girl there had said she wasn't there. It scared her at first but she didn't think anything of it later.

Youki stod up and looked Ryou angrily in the eye. "What do you mean you can't find her!"

"I'm not in the mood to deal with you, kid!" Ryou shouted.

"Whar are you two standing around for wasteing time? Lets go find Sumi!" Bin said, syepping inbetween the two boys.

Youki emidiatly rushed to his friends side with a crude "Bastard" remark to Ryou. Ryou was steaming mad now, what right did that guy have?

"Um, Ryou . . ." asked a small shy voice. Ryou turned and saw a blushing Yuiri behind him. He stared warrily at her. "Ummm, hi. I'm uh Yuiri . . ."

Ryou was getting a little freaked out. He had a sudden fear that she was going to hug him. Instead she just shyly looked down at the grond and didn't say anything else.

"Uh, it's good to meet you . . ." Ryou answered. "But, I uh. . . . really gotta go look for Sumi. Bye." Ryou tried to get out of the acward scene as quickley as possible.

Yuiri didn't look up at Ryous retreating back. She was silently yelling in her mind. 'How can I be so stupid?! He surly now thinks that I'm a phycopath. . . I feel like I could die, I feel so awful.'
