((Chapter 9))
"No ones going to reconize you tonight unless they take a second look." Ross smiled. She'd never seen Riza look so...differnt. "Everyone thinks your so calm and collected all the time...tonight theres no way they can think that."
"I know." She knew what everyone thought of her. "But that is a good thing." Not many crossed her, they feared her...She smiled.
Ross glanced at Rizas back. "You have a tattoo?" All she saw was a small glimpse of it. A small balck arch over the top of the back of her dress.
All she did was nod.
That was yet another thing new thing about Riza that no one knew about.
Riza smiled. "Lets go."

"You look like hell." Thats what Havoc said when he turned the corner and saw Roy.
"And you?" Roy replied. Roy had been going over the map, thinking of everything he could remember about Alchemy but he had found nothing. It just didn't make since, so, he decided to leave it alone for now. He threw his black coat over his shoulder with his thumb hooked in the edge. He didn't bother smoothing his wrinkled white shirt but he did button it up, most of the way, leaving the three buttons on top undone, he just didn't give a damn. But sill, he was one of those men who looked good all...rumpled. "I'm fine, just a little not...put together."
Roy and Havoc turned the corner, making there way to the parade grounds where the party was being held. The stopped at the same time at what they saw there around the corner.
"What the...whoa." Havoc and Roy stared, it was obvious she didn't know they were watching her. She was cloaked in a gown of red silk and even from the back it clung to her body. Her back was to them and she was on her knees and tugging a something, speaking in soft, hushed tones.
With her back to them to them and her hair down, there was no way they knew it was Hawkeye.
Roy smiled and stepped in front of Havoc, his black gaze looking around. He didn't see any other man so it was obvious she was alone. "I don't see anyone else around...looks like I might have a date after all. And from the looks of this..." He mumured. "A woman with good taste and a fine taste of art..." He was speaking of the tiny glimpse of the tattoo he saw on her back. She must have come with someone as a guest or something. They didn't remember ever seeing her before.
Havoc frowned and stepped beside Roy. "Thats not fair, you always get the girls." He took a step forward and Roy stepped forward as well and whispered, "Yes, I always get them. Its my right."
Roy was about to make himself known as Havoc tried to get past him, when she turned around.
"HAWKEYE!" Havoc and Roy said at the same time, in loud, shocked voices.

"You go on, let me take him back inside." Riza pulled the hem of her dress out of reach of Black Hayate.
Ross nodded and headed out.
"Stop it." Riza mumured to Black Hayate in a stern but hushed voice. He was whining, he didn't want her to go so he was tugging on the hem of her dress to make sure she got the message clearly. "Stop it, you don't want to ruin my dress do you? I know you don't feel good..." She cooed to him gently, picking him up and turning around.
"HAWKEYE!" She almost dropped the dog upon hearing there voices. When had they came up behind her? Hayate yelped happily upon seeing Roy and Havoc.
Havoc nudged Roy in his ribs and whispered to him. "Your right. You can have her, I give in. Though, shes probally going to shoot you once she knows what you said about her..."
Roy actually gulped and Havoc continued in a hushed voice, he was starting to actually enjoy this. "You can have this one, I get the next one..."
"I didn't know it was her." Roy whispered back to Havoc.
But they had to admit one thing, Riza looked damned good in that dress...
"Are you two alright?" Riza frowned. They looked silly, odd, with the way they were acting.
Havoc grinned widely. "Yes, as a matter of fact we are. Mustang was about to ask-" Roy slapped Havoc on the back, rather hard, and smiled. "Oh, it was nothing! Since we're all here, why don't we all go down together?"
Havoc stepped behind Riza. "You got a tattoo, I didn't know that." Riza pulled him back in front of her but didn't respond.
Havoc kept on smiling. "Before we go, tell us, where is the REAL Hawkeye?" Roy shook his head. Havoc was pathetic, didn't he know when to quiet.
Riza arched one eyebrow. "Care to find out?" Her voice was slightly cool and when her voice was like that, it made Havoc think she was thinking of shooting him.
The parade grounds were crowded and most of the men there had dates though not all of them. "Well it seems they've outdone themselves this year." Riza mumured as she gazed around at the walls shrouded in lights and tables scattered here and there. Roy and a couple of other guys kept on stealing glances at Riza, as if unable to believe that was really her.
"Don't they know they have to work tomorrow?" Ross motioned toward Roy and Havoc. They were drinking, a little to much.
"Yes..." She sighed. "I have to deal with them tomorrow so..."
"Excuse me." Riza pulled the small shot glass of brandy from both Roy and Havocs hands. It was exactly midnight and some of the people had left. "You both have to work tomorrow and I want you both sober, with no excuses to not work."
Heymans walked over to her and put his arm around her shoulder but kept a good distance away. "Come on...have a little fun..." He quickly removed his arm.
Havoc snickered and took a puff, blowing the smoke through his nostrils. Riza set Havocs empty glass on the table beside them. "She doesn't-" Riza still had the full glass she had taken from Roy, she downed the contents with one tip. She hadn't drank anything tonight, they'd had plenty.
"I didn't know you drank." Heymans poured her another drink. "Me either." Roy said.
"I don't." She handed the glass Heymans had poured and gave it to Roy. "Last one." Was all she said, Roy looked at her like a child being told no about something. It was clear that she meant it, she had to deal with them tomorrow and they were going to be sober enough to work.
"You know what Hawkeye, your lucky I'm nice AND your valentine this year..." Roy smiled innocently. This year they'd all drawn names and had each picked someone. Roy had gotten Riza and that had never happened before. It was Riza Hawkeye, what could he have gotten her? HER?
Before Riza could turn around Roys hands came up over her eyes and Havoc set a medium sized wrapped box into her hands. Only Havoc and Roy knew what was inside.
Fuery and Heymans movec closer, Falman had already left. "Whats in it?" Fuery looked at the box as Roy moved his hands.
Her eyebrows rose as she looked down at the wrapping paper. It had guns on it, she didn't bother asking where he had gotten that. They all grew quiet.
It was probally a mini skirt, like the one from last christmas and the one before that, like he got all the girls each year, but she didn't voice the thought but she did smile. That was how Roy was.
She lifted the top of the box of and reached in, they all leaned closer.
Her fingers touched something lacy and she blinked. She pulled it up slowly but all they got was a glimpse of something black before she jerked her hand downward and back into the box.
"Roy Mustang!" Her voice rose in a shocked, disblelief sound.
Havoc smirked, holding his cig between two fingers. "Whats in it?"
"Roy Mustang!" She said and looked in the box again, she hadn't been imagining it and it was not a mini skirt. She snapped the lid shot.
Roy was trying not to laugh and when she turned to Roy, Havoc, Heymans and Fuery grabbed the box and opened it and started to dig in, wondering what was in it.
She turned back around as Heymans said "Whoa..." Heymans held up a bra and panties set. A sheer black push-up bra, trimmed in red and with that was an equaling shocking pair of panties. A sheer see-through black thong and connected with that was garters and stockings. Havoc pulled out something else too, edible panties that could be worn and spread on...Havoc lifted the bra up. "So, you like what he got you?" It was the right size to, 34C.
Riza jerked the things back and put them back into the box. "There...very nice..." They hadn't expected her to say that.
Roy shrugged innocently. "I'm good at giving gifts BUT that was just a little...joke." He smiled and handed her another gift.
Riza arched an eyebrow again, he thought this was funny? He wouldn't think so tomorrow...
She upwrapped it and she was right. She pulled out a blue mini skirt, supposedly for work. It wouldn't have been the same if he hadn't got her one every year. "Roy..." Her voice held a tint of warning to it. "Thank you. That was very um, thoughtful."
He grinned again. "Sure it was." As he said it he reached behind him and under the table there and brought from under the table cloth a vase filled with red and white roses and set it in front of her. She grew quiet. "Heres the real thing." He said.
Riza smiled and picked up the roses. Red and white. "Thank you, Roy." She mumured.
It was getting late but none of them were going in just yet, everyone else had left. Havoc yawned. "Lets play a game. None of us want to go in just yet...why not?" He looked thoughtful for a moment. "I know...truth or dare."
Everyone looked at him. Riza spoke first. "Excuse me?"
Roy leaned back. "Havoc, were not little children."
"Come on...I dare you." They all sighed, why not?

"You know, if someone were to come in here and see us like this, all of us on the floor, they would think there was something wrong with us. We're playing a childs game, forgods sake." Roy muttered.
Since it was Havocs idea, he made the rules.
Rule One: You can't deny what you were dared to do, if you choose dare. That made it all more tense but so far no one had taken a dare. And if you turned down the dare, you could, then you would have to pay the person who dared you, $400. Havoc had it all set, no one would turn down a dare then.
Riza rested her chin in her hand as Heymans asked her "Truth or Dare?"
"Truth."
Heymans looked up at the ceiling as if he were deep in thought. "It it true that you've thought of wearing Roys first gift to you,at least a little...? And remember, tell the truth or..." He rubbed his fingers together, reminding her of the money at stake.
"True." She mumured.
Havoc clapped Roy on the back. "You did good this year!"
Riza shrugged. "I'm not losing $400 to you, Heymans."
It was Havocs turn again. "This isn't much of a game, its more like a truth game. No one has the guts for a dare." He threw his hands in the air.
"Dare me." Roy pointed his finger at him. "You haven't dared either but I will be the firt to change that line. After all I am the best and BRAVEST of us all."
Havoc snorted. "Alright."
Anyways, out of all of them, Riza was the bravest, in some ways.
A grin lit Havocs face and everyone leaned closer. There was a light in Havocs eyes and Roy almost regretted the dare that he knew was coming. Whatever it was.
"Roy..." He trailed off, letting the tension build and they all knew he had thought of something. SOMETHING daring..."Mustang, I DARE you to kiss Hawkeye and I don't mean just a peck on the lips. A real kiss...one that you know makes women weak in the knees..."
"No ones going to reconize you tonight unless they take a second look." Ross smiled. She'd never seen Riza look so...differnt. "Everyone thinks your so calm and collected all the time...tonight theres no way they can think that."
