((Chapter 10))
Roy and Riza both turned to look at Havoc as everyone grew quiet. It seemed he wasn't only trying to get himself shot by Riza, but Roy as well, but that wasn't what he was thinking. Roy wouldn't do it, he was to scared and because of that, Havoc would be $400 richer.
But then again, one never knew what Roy was thinking or what he was going to do.
Before Riza could even open her mouth to say anything she found herself bent over Roys arm, this sudden feeling of dizziness and the the feel of Roys lips against hers.
Havoc muttered something under his breath. Looked like he wasn't getting any money from Roy.
Five minutes later, five mind blowing minutes later Roy pulled back with a triumphant grin and Riza opened her eyes slowly.
"Whoooooooa." Heymans and Havoc said it at the same time.
"Now, I do believe you own ME $400...since I did it AND she liked it." Roy smirked, Havoc should know not to cross him.
"But the question is, Mustang, did she like it? You owe me one Hawkeye so...truth for you. Is it true you liked it?" Havoc and Heymans leaned in closer, enjoying this. Fuery sighed, they were all in for it tomorrow at work.
Riza shrugged. "I suppose." She mumured in that cool voice of hers, at least she WAS telling the truth, she could have lied but then she would be $400 shorter and they would have known she had lied.
Roy smirked. "You can pay me friday when you get your paycheck."
It was now 1:00 and they still didn't go in.
Havoc rubbed his chin. "Before we all decide to go in, I know something we can do...as you all are aware, there have been rumors about Warehouse B, or rather, Warehouse 13..."
"No, Havoc, absolutely not." Roy actually snorted.
"Not again..." Fuery wailed quietly, he didn't want to go through it again.
Heymans said nothing. He didn't want to do it again either but...
"We never actually went through with it last time, what we found was something else..." He coughed, yea, something else alright, dog bones.
Riza folded her arms. "You want to go out to Warehouse B-"
"Warehouse 13." Havoc corrected her.
"-WAREHOUSE B and see if all those rumors are true? Didn't you learn your lesson the last time?"
"We're not doing it." Roy said.
"I cannot believe we are doing this. Again." Roy muttered.
Under Havocs urgings, they all left the building quietly. Now the light from HQ was a mere glow. The only light they had was a small lantern, just like the last time.
"Your dog is chained up, isn't he?" Heymans shuddered.
"No, he is not chained up. I do not chain up dogs, Heymans, and no, he is not out here." Riza shook her head, how could they be doing this?
Roy liftd the lantern as the shadows deepened. The light casting strange reflections of there shadows on the walls.
"Why am I in front again?" Roy looked behind them, Heymans, Havoc and Fuery were all crowded behind him, Riza was beside him with a look on her face that said, "this is rediculas."
"Once again, because your a higher rank than us, we don't wont to affend you by walking in front of you..." Havoc quoted the same words he'd said last time.
The walked silently and each time they approached a building Roy lifted the lantern. were at Warehouse 6. Between Warehouse A and Warehouse B there were 12 small warehouses in between, so that meant they had 6 more to go.
Fuery shivered. "Why are we doing this again?" It was like last time, his fear spread through the others slowly but surely but so far, not to Riza, seemingly.
"I bet it really is haunted. We shouldn't be doing this. I bet they tried to warn us last time and we didn't listen..." Heymans whispered.
"This is rediculas." Riza sighed. How could they have talked her into this and at the rate they were going, they weren't going to get there anytime soon.
She didn't even say a word, just snatched the lantern from Roys hand and started forward.
Roy stopped and froze, Havoc bumped into him.
"Hey." Havoc muttered.
Heymans bumped into Havoc and Fuery stayed close to Heymans. They all froze, watching as the shadows crept closer because of the light that was leaving, along with Hawkeye...
"Wait!" They all almost tripped over each other in there hurry to catch up with her. It would seem Fuerys fear had spread to everyone else.
"We're not going to get anywhere at this rate." Riza lifted the lantern. "Warehouse 8."
She felt Roy close behind her and reached behind her and grabbed his arm.
"Hey!." He muttered.
Her lips curved. "Your a higher rank than me, you can at least have SOME honor and "bravery" and stay up here with me and since I'm the only one with some sense here we're doing this my way."
"Thats right, Sir." Havoc nodded eagerly.
That wounded Roys pride, he did have honor. He took the lantern and once again moved to the front of the line.
"What was that?" Heymans jerked to a stop. He heard it again, as did everyone else. A strange howling...
"That isn't Black Hayate." Fuery whispered. The wind blew by them and clouds covered the moon and they heard another small sound.
Riza took the lantern from Roy and lifted it. "Warehouse B."
"Warehouse 13...oh no..." Fuery wailed. "Their warning us, we have to go!"
"Hes right, we didn't hear anything till we reached Warehouse 13." Havoc looked around slowly.
Riza shook her head and lifted the lantern higher. "Its the wind. Listen." And sure enough it was but that hadn't stopped them from being scared and it still didn't.
"We're here, lets have a look." Roy and Havoc pulled and pushed a small crate under a window. Havoc, Fuery, Roy and Heymans all crowded around on the small box and looked through the small window, wiping dust away from it. Riza stood behind them, tapping her foot. They didn't see anything.
"See? Didn't I tell you this was rediculas. There is no such thing as ghost." Riza lowered the lantern as they stepped down from the crate.
The only warning they had, saw, was a small glimpse of black fur that ran out from a small whole near the groundin the building. Heymans jumped up. Riza made a sound in the back of throat as it ran under dress and she felt it brush against her legs. She jerked back into Roy, knocking him back, which caused him to trip over Havoc, in turn which caused Heymans to fall onto Fuery.
Roy and Riza fell, Riza half atop Roy and Havoc was on Roys feet. Heymans and Fuery beside them.
Riza looked up and her gun was in her hand without so much as a thought when she had fallen. The nuzzle of the gun was directly between the small amber eyes staring back at her...
"A cat?" She whispered. "A CAT?"
Everyone looked up at her voice, Roy tilted his head back, keeping his head down, considering the gun was directly over his head.
"A cat?" Fuery sat up and Havoc got off Roys feet. Riza got off Roy and groaned. "They'd just made fools of themselves over a cat. A damn little cat.
Fuery picked the cat up. "You scared us, little guy."
It was then they all noticed there was baerly any light. During the fall the light from the lantern had gone out. Everyone groaned.
"Where did you get that?" Heymans looked at the gun in Rizas hand.
Riza arched an eyebrow. "I always have a gun on me, most of the time."
Roy winced. God, he was lucky she hadn't shot him tonight, and Havoc.
"Its dark." Fuery whispered, they were all somewhat calm now.
Roy drew a transmutation circle in the dirt and snapped his fingers, the which in the lantern sprang to life with a small flame, spreading a little light.
Riza took the lantern. "Were going back before anyone comes and catchs us out here. We've already made big enough fools of ourselves." They followed her without a word back to HQ.
