Ed had gone out on his own on a mission concerning the Philosopher Stone in town but came back with nothing. Somehow the person with the information had been killed before Ed got there. There were no suspects nor any clues. The man was found stabed to death with five wounds. When Ed got home that afternoon, he found Lilly drawing a rather detailed picture of him. It surprised him that she had learned to draw so good in such a short time. As he stood behind her looking down at the picture that Lilly was doing, he found himself stareing more at Lilly that Lilly's picture. He knew that she wasn't like a normal human, but he felt as if she was. She did normal things and never once had a bad thought in her mind. The only way that they knew she wasn't normal was her way to heal herself so quickly and her big killing spree she had shown a few days ago. Ed couldn't see why someone so sweet and innocent could have so much power.

"It's very pretty, Lilly. How long did it take you to draw it?" Ed asked.

"Not long. Only a few minutes while you were gone. I was finishing it as you came in." She smiled at him then placed the picture aside. "Ed, I know that Al doesn't have a human body, you both told me, but if you knew something about me, would you still be my friend? Would you still like me the way that I am, even if I am not all human?"

"Your talking about the way you were created in you dream?"

"You know it wasn't a dream, Ed. It really happened. That means I am not a real human. I am something created of nothing. I will never be like you, yet I feel I am. You won't tell me what I did the other day, but I know it was something bad, because everyone looks at me differently now. Even you do," she said standing.

"Lilly..."

"I want you to tell me what I did. I have a right to know. If I did something bad, I need to know so I won't do it again."

"Lilly, I don't think you can controll that. Your necklace controls it. You know that."

"Tell me! I have to know!" she yelled.

"Fine."

"Ed, there has been a person spoted on the Headquarters yard. Everyone is being called to go help check it out." Mustang said walking in on Ed and Lilly without knocking.

"Alright, I coming." He turned to Lilly. "Stay here. If anything happens, just scream and I will be there."

Lilly nodded and watched them leave. She went to her window and peered out. Ed and Al were scanning the edge of the woods for anyone. Lilly looked beond them and noticed someone hiding in the bushes. Then she saw more people in the bushes. She tryed to yell to Mustang who was below her window, but she couldn't get the window up. She ran as quick as she could down stairs. She flew out the door and to were Mustang was. As she told him what she saw, Mustang ordered all the men to check it out.

"Lilly, go back in side. We can take it from here," Mustang said.

"No. I want to be her in case you need me."

"Sorry but we have all the men we need, plus I don't want you to get taken if those people turn out to be the men who are after you."

As he said this, a loud yell came from the woods. Out of the blue, about 80 men dressed in the same outfit as before came running out. State Alchemist lined up and got ready for battle again. Lilly watched as the fight begun just as before. Mustang stood in front of her as her protection. She saw the rocks being thrown and metal swords being used. She scanned the area for Al and Ed and when she finally found them she ran towards them.

"Lilly! Come back! You'll get hurt!" Mustang called as she ran.

Lilly ignored him and kept running. She saw Ed call to Al for back up and Al swung at a man knocking him on the ground. Lilly dodged everything she could untill she reached Ed. Ed noticed her and before he could yell at her, he got hit in the face. Lilly screamed and tryed to help him up. Before she could say anything to him, she was picked up by a man and was being dragged away. She kicked a screamed, but this time she couldn't get away. She heard Al yell out Ed's name as Ed came to and noticed Lilly was gone. Ed got to his feet to go after her but had gotten into another fight on his way. Ed yelled out for Lilly, who was now in tears and scared to death. Ed yelled again for her which trigered her to change again. Her eyes necklace and now visable transmutation circle began to glow red. She mad her finger nails grow a few inches and stabbed the man carrying her. Slowy she cut threw each man that came into her veiw. As she sliced threw the men, all the State Alchemist began to fall back while the other men who were after Lilly began to try and take her down. Each try to stop her but lost their lives trying. When the last one was standing he held up a snipper rifle and shot one bullet at her before she cut his head off. She turned to face the State Alchemist and was getting ready to kill them in one blow when her body began to experence pain. She cryed out and stoped moveing. Slowly she fell to her knees and held the wound that the bullet went threw on her left shoulder. She yelled in pain as she pulled out the bullet and her body returned to normal. This time she was fully consious.

"Lilly!" Ed yelled running to her.

She looked down a her body that was covered in other peoples blood. Tears ran down her cheeks as she held her only wound. Ed came to her side a knealed by her. She peered up at him.

"There is so much blood. What did I do? What have I done to deserve to get shot? How come I hurt on the outside as well as the in? Who's blood is on me? Make the pain go away, Ed. It hurts so much..." she whispered to him then passed out.

Ed picked up the bullet and then picked up Lilly. He already knew it was made of lead.

Later that night Ed told Lilly what had happened. This time he told the truth. Lilly shook her head in denial. Ed did his best to help her deal with it, but she cryed the rest of the night. Lilly asked Ed not to leave her alone so he slept with her, although she hardly slept at all that night.

The next morning, a discared a piece of paper was found on the ground where the fight took place. Mustang had found it. He took it to his office and quietly read it. Afterwards he called in Ed, Al, Lilly and someother trusted officers. All of them stood except for Lilly. Mustang asked her to sit.

"I found this paper on the ground today. I thought that you all should be informed about what it has on it." Mustang opened the paper and began to read. "The subject is a girl who can destry. If you destroy her you will get a reward. She is alergic to lead and can easly be killed with lead bullets. If you get her alive, the reward will be greater. Her necklace is her power. She is extremly deadly and will show no mercy. If you can destroy the necklace, she will die. That necklace is her life force. I dout you will be able to get that close or evern get to touch her necklace. I will promise a large reward if you follow through. I would prefer her alive, but if you kill her, I want her body." Mustang folded the paper back and put in his desk. "I think we all know what this letter means."

Lilly sat quietly with her head down as she listened.

"Lilly not only can be killed be lead but if her necklace gets destroyed, she will die. That is something new. I know that whoever it was that wrote this hired those men to get Lilly. I don't think it is only her power he wants. If it was then why does he just want her body? He wants her for something and we have to find out!" Mustang yelled as he hit his desk.

"I should have never meet you. If I would have never meet you, no one would have been pulled into this. This is all my fault. I should leave before they come back. I could have killed all of you easly. I think it is best if I leave now before someone else gets hurt or worse." Lilly said not looking up.

"No. Your not going anywhere. We are State Alchemist and it's our job to help others, and we won't turn our back on you. Am I right?" Mustang asked everyone.

Ed and the other came to attension and all said 'yes, sir'. Lilly looked up at Mustang. He was smiling. Slowly she smiled back then got up and ran to him giving him a big hug. Mustang was a little shocked but pated her on the back and smiled bigger. Lilly pulled away and whispered a small thank you as he dismissed everyone. Lilly followed Ed and Al to their room and sat down on the floor while Ed wrote in his book. Al sat beside her and played hand games. Winry walked in and stood behind Ed. When Ed finished writing, he turned to face Winry.

"So, what was the meeting about?" Winry asked.

"I thought you left this morning." Ed said.

"I decided to stay a while long. Are you goin to answer my question?"

"Oh, sorry. It was more information on Lilly. She can be killed if the necklace gets destroyed."

Ed walked over to Lilly and Al and watched them play.

"I thought she could only be killed with lead."

"I did too, but somehow someone found out that she can also die if anything happens to her necklace." he said pulling out the bullet and looking at it then puting it back in his pocket. He sat beside Lilly who looked up at him and smiled. "Lilly, I think that's why you are suppost to give it to someone you trust. If they have you necklace then they can keep it safe."

Winry got a annoyed face at the fact that Ed stoped talking to her to talk to Lilly. She sat down beside Al and pretended it didn't bother him.

"I know. I knew it when I had that dream. I knew the necklace could kill me." Lilly said as she lost her smile.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to get more invovled."

"How did you know?"

"I'm not sure. It was more of a feeling that I got when I had the dream. It's had to explain. I wish I could but I can't explain something I don't understand."

"For now on I want to know anything that you know. You don't have to be scared that I am invovled. I want to be and I want to help. I can't help if you won't let me."

Lilly smiled. "Ok."

"Oh, I almost forgot. I got you something when I was in town yesterday. I saw it and knew you would like it." Ed said going to his closet and opening it. He pulled out a caramel colored teady bear that had a small pocket on the belly that zipped. He handed it to Lilly and her eyes lite up. "Do you like it?"

"I love it!" She yelled then huged him. "It's so beautiful. Thank you."

"Your welcome. I thought you might like it." Ed smiled.

Al was about to say something when Mustang busted in.

"I want to see you two in my office. I just got another tip about the Philosopher Stone."

Both the boys shot up and left without saying anything.

Everyone was standing outside to say good bye to Ed and Al who were off on another mission. Winry and the others said good bye but Lilly stood by and watched. Finally she walked up to Al and said good bye and ever gave him a small hug. She looked at Ed but didn't smile. She walked in front of him.

"Are you sure I can't go?" Lilly asked.

"It will be safer if you are here with so many people to protect you. We will be back before you know it. I promise it will only be a week from now, ok?"

"You better keep that promise." She took a closer step to him. "It's going to be dangerous, isn' it?"

"They all are, but we will be okay."

"I am scared thatt something may happen."

"Don't worry. I promise we will be ok."

"I know that if you keep your first promise you will keep this one but I want you to have something." Lilly took off her necklace and put it on Ed. He looked shocked and speechless. "If you wear that than I know that you will be ok because if something happens to you then something will also happen to me. If you try to protect that necklace to protect me than you will stay away for trouble and will come home safely. I want you to keep it and remember that if you die then so will I. I trust you, Ed, so be careful and protect yourself."

"Lilly, I can't..."

"Shut up and take it. I want you to have it. For now on it belongs to you and no one else. Protect it and you will protect me. Now you better go before you miss your train."

Lilly smiled. Ed nodded and griped the jewel around his neck. If I want to keep her safe then I had better stay alive or the necklace could be destroyed. I want to protect her no matter what. I have to make sure I don't do anything stupid or I could kill us both.

Lilly watched them leave and a small tear fell from her eye.

"Please keep both your promises..." She whispered to herself.
