"Lilly's test show that she has everything that a normal human has, but she lives off the stone. If it is tooken out, it would be like taking out her life force. She needs it to live." Mustang said.
Ed, Al, Lilly, Hawkeye, and some others were gathered in Mustang's office to hear the results of Lilly's test that she had took all week. Lilly looked at Ed and saw all traces of hope disappear. Al looked down and Lilly knew he felt the same as Ed. Mustang put Lilly's file back together and in his dest.
"Well, we will just have to find another way to get our bodies back." Ed said smiling.
"You mean, just like that?" Lilly said snapping her fingers as she said it.
"Sure. It's not like Al and I to give up. Right, Al?"
"Right!" Al said brightening up.
"Well, while we ran the test, we couldn't figure out what Lilly's new power is. After Ed and Lilly described it, we researched on everything in Lilly's memory that was recorded after Ed told me about it. I had wrote it all down thinking it would come on handy. Well, as we looked through them the only thing we could think of to cause this transformation in her is...." Mustang was cut off as Ed cleared his voice. Mustang looked at him and Ed shook his head to tell him not to mention the fact that Ed had to love Lilly in order to make her change. " We just couldn't find anything."
"But I might if I look at the files." Lilly said.
"You mean you don't remember having that dream or memory or whatever it was?" Hawkeye asked.
"I did, but for some reason, as soon as I changed, it was lose again. All I remember is waking up and running to Ed's room. Maybe the new transformation knocked it out of me because it was so powerful just like when I lost it the first time when I experienced my old power for the first time, too. I wish I could remember, because it probably could be very important..." Lilly said putting pointer her finger on her bottom lip.
"Don't worry I'm sure it will come back in time." Ed said smiling.
Lilly smiled back and Mustang dismissed everyone, but called for Ed and Hawkeye to stay. Everyone lefted and Ed and Hawkeye stayed behind.
"Ed have you fallen in love with Lilly?" Mustang asked stright forward. "Because it is the only way the she would be able to change like that."
"I...uh...I'm not actually sure." Ed answered honestly.
"Well, you must be Edward." Hawkeye said. "There is no other explination."
"I know, but it just seems so unreal that I was the one who changed her."
"She trusted you enough to protect her necklace, her life. She wouldn't have given it to you if she didn't want you to be the one to protect her." Hawkeye pointed out.
"I know."
"You can leave now and we will keep your secret with us." Mustang said.
Ed left and Hawkeye turned to Mustang.
"You know that your record said that she has to love him back in order to get her to change. The feeling has to be the same both ways." Hawkeye said walking up to the front of his desk.
"I know. Ed must have forgotten, but I'm sure Al hasn't. Al didn't say anything for a reason. He wants Ed and Lilly to figure it out for themselves. And that is just what we will do."
Mustang smile evily and stared at Hawkeye. She blushed but Mustang noticed. He walked over to her and looked her stright in the eyes. They weren't even a foot apart.
"Sir?" Hawkeye asked.
Before she knew it his lips were on hers. She kissed back and wraped her arms around his neck.

Ed walked outside were Lilly was. She was sitting on the ground and smelling flowers. Al was standing by watching Ed walk up to Lilly. He smiled to himself the walked back inside to leave them alone. Ed sat next to Lilly and drunk in her beauty. She wore all white, as always but a blue ribbon.
"Why are you wearing a blue ribbon?" He asked.
"It reminds me that I'm not a killer anymore, but a protector. Al told me that." She said smiling and handed Ed a flower.
Ed took the flower and put it in his pocket.
"It's very pretty on you."
"Thanks." she said blushing. "I wanted to show you something. I can control my power and use it when I want to. I just discoved that."
Lilly put her hand on the groud and smiled. Ed watched her eyes change and the transmution circle appear again, both in blue. He felt a heat comming from the necklace and clutched it. Ed looked at the ground where Lilly's hand was and watched. A small bud appear from the ground and suddenly it began to grow and bloom. Ed smiled and placed his hand over hers. Lilly stoped and went to normal. Shock hit her face as she looked at his hand touching hers. Lilly looked up at Ed and saw his smile which made her smile in return.
She was about to say something when she got a feeling of danger. She had never sinced it before, but she was sure it was there.
"Ed, something is coming." Lilly whispered.
"How do you know?" He whispered back.
"I'm not sure but I know I'm right."
Ed looked at Lilly with confussion. Lilly got to her feet and Ed followed. Lilly looked towards the woods and scanned them. After a while she found nothing, she walked behind Ed and placed her hands on his shoulders.
"Do you know who it is?" Ed asked reaching up and placing his left hand on hers without turning around.
"No, but they are comming. There is no use in running. They probably have us surrounded."
"Lilly, stay close."
Lilly nodded and Ed tramsformed his arm into a sword, letting Lilly press her body against his back. Just as Lilly said, the men dressed in black came out surounding Ed and Lilly.
"Ed, I'm scared. I can't change into my normal form so I can't protect you if you get hurt."
"Hey! I'm the one that does the protecting!" Lilly looked up at him. A smile came across her face and she laughted a little. "I'm not kidding! I don't need to be protected! You do!"
"Ed here they come!" Lilly screamed as the men charged.
Lilly let go of Ed and took a few steps back. Ed fought the men and had no trouble at it. Lilly smiled to herself at how determined he was. Something's not right. These aren't the people I sinced. Something more dangerous is comming... Lilly looked around. She noticed that all the men were focusing on distracting Ed and not comming after her. She looked towards the forrest and saw what she had sinced.
"Ed! Those Homunculi are back!" Lilly screamed.
"What!?!"
Ed looked over towards Lilly who had a shocked, scared and confussed expression. He looked to where she was pointing and saw Lust, Gluttony and Envy walking towards Lilly.
"Lilly! I'm comming! Ummmffff!"
Ed was tackled and over ran by the men. Lilly backed up alittle but found that Envy had fliped behind her. Ed yelled out to her as he fought his way towards her. All at once, the Homunculi came running at Lilly. Lilly let out a scream and fell to her knees covering her head. She waited for them to grab her but when she looked up she saw a blue dome like shield around her. Lilly stood up and the shield moved as she moved. If she took a step back the shield followed her. Gluttony put her hands on it from the out side and was shocked back almost 30 feet. The other two steped back, not wanting to join him on the ground.
Ed noticed his necklace was glowing and looked up at Lilly. She was in a blue shield and fell to her knees crying out of fear. Ed fought off the last of the men and ran towards the shield.
"Don't! It was blast you back!" Lilly screamed from inside.
"I don't care! I want to get to you!" Ed yelled running.
He didn't stop when he got to the protective shield. He ran right into it and through to the other side. As he passed through, his necklace got brighter. Ed ran up to Lilly and wrapped his arms around her.
"Hey, it's ok. I'm here now." He chanted as he stroked her hair.
"I'm so scared..."
Lust tooked at the shield and yelled out to everyone.
"We'll come back later! Let's go report this!" She yelled.
Ed watched them leave and tryed to calm down Lilly. Finally, but late, Mustang, Al, and the others came running out. They stared at the shield with confussed looks.
"Lilly! Brother!" Al yelled out.
Lilly looked up from Ed's chest and saw everyone standing outside her shield. She looked up at Ed.
"Your safe now. They left." Ed said smiling.
Lilly wiped her eyes as Ed watched her eyes go back to normal. The shield dissappeared along with the circle on Lilly's forhead. Ed helped her to her feet as everyone ran to them.
"You two ok?" Mustang asked. I watched you fight the me from my office. I didn't think you needed help, but then I heard Lilly scream and watched her shield go up and you pass through it. I called to everyone to get out there and catch the Homunculi, but by the time we got out here, they were gone."
"Thanks for leaving me out here alone! Lilly could have got hurt!" Ed yelled pulling Lilly closer.
"You looked like you were handling it and I knew you would yell at me if I came out there when you were fighting them. But when the Homunculi came out, that's when I had to help. I thought you said Al killed them off." Mustang said.
"We thought he did. We saw them fall down the hole, but they must have escaped from it. I don't understand how, that hole had no end." Ed said shaking his head. "They're probably have joined forces with those men. Probably made a deal with them to get the Philosopher Stone if they catch her for them."
Lilly tryed to listen to the conversation, but the shield had used up a lot of her energy. She clutched onto Ed's jacket and felt herself passing out.
"Ed...." She whispered.
Ed picked her out just as she closed her eyes. He looked down at the sleeping girl.
I'm so glad she's ok. I don't know what I would have done if she was hurt or worse.
"It's getting dark. Take her to her room and let her sleep. Then get some sleep yourself." Mustang ordered.
Ed nodded and walked inside.
If it wasn't for that shield, Lilly would have gotten hurt. I have to be more careful.
