You're always gone,

You're always alone,

Do you even remember,

That you still have a home?

Your journey is dangerous,

I knew that from the start.

Yet I always wait for you,

Feelings of love in my heart.

The fire consumed,

The house that you had.

You both burned it down,

The memories too sad.

I was there,

I saw it all,

You spoke bitterly confident,

Your dignity tall.

You can always come back,

Whenever you like.

Although I'll put up a barrier,

And with a wrench, it's you I'll fight.

But I'll always shine the light,

Just so you can see,

And so you can always find your way,

Back home to me.
