Fullmetal Alchemist Fan Fiction ❯ Lonely ❯ Al returns ( Chapter 15 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

This is my second FMA fic. There are a few warnings: Winry bashing, Al OOC, Ed OOC, and this will be an Ed/Roy pairing. This fic switches POV back and forth between Ed and Roy. Some chapters with have both POVs, some only one. I don't own FMA but this original story is mine.

There is also a color key.

Black: Author's notes and other people speaking.
Black with * means random noises.
Blue: Roy (Both thoughts and speaking in and out of POV mode)
Red: Ed (Both thoughts and speaking in and out of POV mode)
Now without further ado, here's the story. Enjoy!

Lonely

We all put on our opera glasses and watched the show. Half way through, I looked over towards my Fullmetal Angel. I was hoping that we weren't going to have another Al and Rockbell cow fiasco. He was looking at the play at first then; I noticed that his eyes slip towards the house seats so I looked down.

Damn. It was Al but, he was alone. I looked everywhere for his *shudder* bride. Surprisingly, she was nowhere in sight.

*Sniff*

I look over at Edward and notice that he's crying.

“What's wrong, Angel?” I asked him as he cuddled into me.

“I've ruined Al's life for the second time,” he whispered, “The first time being putting him in the suit of armor.”

“You didn't ruin anything,” I said, “The `first' was an accident and he probably felt like being by himself tonight.”

“I hope so,” he whispered, “I really hope so.”

We watched the rest of the play, my angel feeling guilty for his brother when he doesn't have to. Me, I'm holding him, praying that his sorrow will leave him.

“I love you,” I whisper as I kiss his hair.

“I love you, too,” he says as we cuddle.

I watch the play and when it ended, we left the box and were almost out of the theater when I heard someone yelling my name.

“Edward!” yelled the voice, “Please wait!”

I turn around and see Al running over to us!
“What do you want?” asked Roy as he held me closer to him.

“Brother,” said Al, “I have great news, I broke up with Winry!”

“You…” Then I realized what he said, “Al, I'm so sorry!” I sobbed, “I just ruin everything!”

“Shh,” said Roy, “Look what you did, Al!” Roy was holding me while I cried into his shirt.

“Brother,” said Al as he touched my shoulder, “You didn't ruin anything. You helped me find a better life than what I had.”

“Huh?” I asked, looking at my younger brother.

“Maybe we should discuss this on the way home,” suggested Hawkeye, “Are you still living in the same apartment, Alphonse?”

“Yes,” said Al, “Winry went back to Ressembool so she won't be there.”

TBC! WINRY'S GONE! Is it temporary or for good? Wait and see!
