Chapter 5: The only way out

 

Instead of comforting Rhenne and Kae, they + Jeremay, Kristine and Mrs. Carlson+ exploded an annoying loud laugh.

 

Melanie rushed towards Ed and Al, her eyes sparkling like Major Armstrong, “ Is this for real? EDWARD AND ALPHONSE ELRIC!!!!!!!!!!! My gosh…. I guess I can die later… now that I've finally met you…” she giggled.

 

Ed, looking so terrified as though he had seen Major Armstrong + Melanie and Armstrong are just similar in attitudes NOT IN APPEARANCE OKAY!!!+ “ What the… who the hell are you?” trying to leapt away from her. He was still holding his swollen cheek.

 

“ I'm one of your avid fans!!!” Melanie squealed. “ Can I have your autograph!!! Please… oh! And by the way can I take a picture with you and Al!! I have wanted to meet you for so long… I thought it was impossible… but… but… I was completely wrong!!!!!” she blabbered. She spoke a lot in a very fast way that neither Ed nor AL understood.

 

Kae irritably shouted at a towering voice, “ Would you stop that Melanie that bean size twerp just mock us you know!!!” she frowned.

 

“ Who are you calling a BEAN SIZE TWERP!!!!” Ed bust out. Al quickly restrained him from fighting back.

 

As always, Al was the one who apologized for Ed, “ I'm so sorry… we didn't mean to insult all of you… I swear! Right brother…”

 

Ed just scowled at him, “You don't owe any apology from those evil brats Al… look what they have done to me!!! They are the one who should ask for our forgiveness!!” he stubbornly insisted.

 

“ Brother! Stop acting like a kid!!”

 

 

Kristine stared at Al, “ It's okay… I guess your brother…wait a second you mean your younger than him! But… but… your much taller and bigger!” she was seriously bewildered.

 

“ WHY! BECAUSE I LOOK LIKE A FREAKING MIDGET!!! A PATHETIC DIMINUTIVE!” Ed growled.

 

Rhenne and Kae laughed in a mockery way, “ You're the one who said that…”

 

Then they were all startled when a man with jet-black hair dressed in blue state military uniform entered the place.

 

Kae and Melanie all most passed out because of great amusement. They were obviously swept by Roy's immense charm.

 

“ Colonel? Why are you here?” Al asked with a puzzled look. “ I thought you're going to do something important?”

 

“ Don't tell me you've been following us around?!” Ed furiously said, his voice went a little higher.

 

Roy smirked as he sat near Mrs. Carlson, “Don't be ridiculous Ed… why would I want to waste my time following you? I was just passing by when I heard you growling because these girls called you a pipsqueak…” he chortled.

 

“ Would you stop that!!!” Ed whined.

 

Mrs. Carlson gave Roy a glass of his favorite wine; “ It has been a long time since you dropped by... Col. Mustang.”

 

Roy just nodded as he sipped a little, “ I never thought that you've got so many lovely waitresses here. Guess I might visit you often from now on.” He grinned.

 

Melanie and Kae turned scarlet; “ Really… it's so nice to meet you sir…” they smiled.

 

“ ROY MUSTANG!!! My wishes have finally coming true!!” Melanie cling around Roy. Then she bowed down to him like he was some kind of a master. “ I'm also a big fan of yours….”

 

Kae pulled Melanie away from Roy, “ Don't listen to her… I'm willing to be your slave for the sake of my love!!” her eyes were glowing with great admiration. It seemed as though they were completely hypnotized by him.

 

Roy stared at Kae, “ Really my dear… why that's just so nice to hear…” he simpered.

 

 

 

Rhenne + looking so ashamed because of Kae and Melanie's behavior+ threw another table towards them.

 

“ Don't tell me that you're planning to wreck this entire place. If that's the case you need to double your effort okay…” Jeremay was already embarrassed to Mrs. Carlson +who was still trying to control herself+.

 

“ I'm sorry Mrs. Carlson… WOULD YOU STOP ACTING LIKE PATHETIC FLIRTS!!! I cant believe that you just said that Kae!! For heaven's sake! He's like your father!!!”

 

Roy + Obviously pissed+ glared at Rhenne, “ I'm still in my twenties sweetie...” he corrected. “So based on what I've heard you girls are the unidentified objects”

 

“ We've got names okay!” Kristine protested. “ And we're humans you know.”

 

Roy smirked. “ Alright… alright…. well you see I just want to know how you just got here…. And that blinding light…”

 

“ Why would we tell you that….”

 

“ Because I know that it was alchemy…” Roy said firmly. “ So tell me who did it?”

 

Rhenne suddenly went serious, “ I… I never thought that this would happen…. I should have not took that darn watch!!” she blamed herself.

 

“ What do you mean?” Al asked worriedly. He noticed how she seriously blamed herself.

 

Kae stared at Rhenne, “ We're not blaming you… so don't fret…” she grinned. “Actually, I kinda like this place now.”

 

“ You see… I saw this watch on our way home…. then suddenly when I opened it…. a blinding light came out…” Rhenne narrated. “ When I opened my eyes… we were already falling from sky….” She took the pocket watch out of her bag.

 

Ed and Al were both shocked, “ Let me see that!” Ed quickly snatched it from Rhenne. He was completely startled when he opened it. “ This is mine! How did you find it….”

 

“ You mean you lost it fullmetal…” Roy frowned. “ You lost your only proof as a state alchemist and you didn't tell me….”

 

Ed just ignored Roy. His attention was on the girls. How they managed to get in their place.

 

“But I thought you lost it when we were----” Al whispered. Ed shut him before he could even finish his question.

 

Jeremay glared at them, “ If you're thinking that we took that from you… you're absolutely wrong!”

 

“ I just saw that on the ground!!! I didn't steal it!!!” Rhenne insisted.

 

Roy crossed his arms, “ Well I guess you accidentally activated alchemy when you opened it… that's quite surprising…. A little girl like you is an alchemist….”

 

Melanie's eyes almost popped out; “ You mean Rhenne could perform alchemy!! That's so cool!!” she simpered.

 

“ There will be a state alchemist exam this coming Saturday … I suggest you take it… you might find your way back home if you will pass it…” Roy explained as he finished his drink.

 

“ Okay! I'll take it! Girls we can finally go home!” Rhenne stared at them with a glowing face. Much to her dismay, they were looking so dreadful like there was no hope.

 

“ Are you alright? What's with the gloomy faces?”

 

Kristine murmured, “ We need to accept the fact that we might never return home. We `re going to be stuck in this place forever.”

 

“ Kristine's right. Come on girls let's go back to our work…” Jeremay gave a deep sigh.

 

Rhenne's eyebrows rose, “ Do you think I'm too stupid to pass that darn exam?” she put her hands on her waist.

 

Kae glared at her, “ Duh, do you really have to ask that?” she said firmly.

 

They all nodded with out any hesitations indicating that Rhenne would surely fail the exam.

 

Ed failed to stifle his laugh. He burst out an annoying laugh that made Rhenne more furious. Al immediately hit Ed to stop.

 

Rhenne glared at Al, “ If you want your tiny brother to live, you better keep a closer look on him.”

 

Al +looking so frightened+ nodded.

 

“ Let me go Al!! I need to teach that brat!!! TINY!! Well we're just the same…. you puny witch!!!”

 

“AAAAAHHHH!!!!!” Rhenne screamed. “ Let me tell you this!” she pointed her friends. “ I'm going to pass that darn exams with full remarks!!!!! I swear!!!” she roared.

 

“ Then we're settled.” Roy stood and walked towards the door. “ I'm leaving them to you fullmetal. Make sure that you explain everything to Rhenne regarding about the exam.” Then he strode away.

 

Ed was shocked, “ WHAT THE!!!” he squealed, “I'M NOT GOING TO BE THEIR NANNY MUSTANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” he firmly protested.
