Chapter 13- Déjà vu
Ryuuin walked down the street casually. He fished in his pocket for his keys. Cursing as they slipped from his grip, he bent down to pick them up only bonk into someone.
"Itai!" Ryuuin complained, and looked at the offending person. Ryuuin's jaw dropped. He stared at the most gorgeous man he ever saw. His silvery brown hair fell softly around him, and his sleevless denim jecket was open just enough to give a hint at his beautiful chest, his rich, golden eyes shined at Ryuuin.
"I-I'm sorry," Ryuuin stammered, still shocked by how gorgeous and familiar this man was.
"No, it was my fault," His deep voice replied, handing Ryuuin his keys. "I couldn't help but notice how familiar you are, Miss."
"You too?" Ryuuin gasped. The man laughed softly, but his voice nearly brought shivers to Ryuuin.
"I'm sorry, I should introduce myself. Watashi wa Sahitei Kirei desu. Hajimemashite," he smiled gently.
"Ryuuin Yanagi desu. Doozo Yoroshiku," Ryuuin began to look like a tomato from the other man's smile.
"Where are you going?" Sahitei inquired.
"Nowhere in particular. Just where ever the wind takes me," Ryuuin answered smiling brightly at this familiar man.
He's so beautiful… Wait, he? But it must be a woman… Sahitei thought, frowning in confusion.
"Is something wrong, Sahitei?" Ryuuin asked concerned.
"I just had the strangest thought," Sahitei dismissed it as nothing.
"Oh? What?" Ryuuin asked, pressing up against Sahitei with curious puppy dog eyes.
"Just that you were a man…" Sahitei almost whispered. Ryuuin gasped.
"You could tell?" he asked, hurt. Sahitei blinked.
"You are?" Sahitei asked, utterly confused. Ryuuin blushed.
"H-Hai… I am…" he said embarrassed. He turned away, and began to head for his car, giving up hope on the beautiful man.
Suddenly, Sahitei grabbed his arm and tilted his face up and smiled at Ryuuin.
"It doesn't matter to me if you're a man or a woman, Ryuuin. I still would like to have dinner with you tonight," he said in a soft, rich voice.
Ryuuin thought he would die on the spot, and looked at Sahitei with astonishment.
"Honto?" Ryuuin whispered.
"Hai, unless you would rather not…" Sahitei began till the feminine man hugged him.
"I'd love to!" Ryuuin replied, beaming at him. Sahitei smiled at him and hugged back gently.
"I know a wonderful little café, about two blocks from here, next to the National library," Sahitei said.
"Sounds wonderful," Ryuuin said dreamily.
No one has ever come near me again when they found out I'm a man. And now this prince of my dreams appears, and sweeps me off my feet. I've never felt so wonderful in my life. Ryuuin thought. (AN: Or past life too, probably)
The two enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and pleasant conversation. After Sahitei paid the bill, they walked towards the library.
"Would you mind if I stopped in the library for a little bit, I need to find a book really quickly for a college term paper," Ryuuin said.
"Not a problem," Sahitei wrapped an arm around Ryuuin's waist. Ryuuin smiled up at Sahitei as they walked to the library.
Inside, Sahitei walked over to a far corner of the library, to look at a picture on the wall. He blinked suddenly when he saw a flash of red light, and looked up the stairs. He could have sworn he saw a red bird. He followed the trail of red sparkles to a room. Inside the room was a boy, about 17, reading an ancient looking book.
Sahitei entered the room and cleared his throat softly. The teen jumped and stared at the man.
"I'm sorry, but… That book… It looks familiar," Sahitei said softly.
"Hey, do I know you?" Kouji asked, looking at the handsome man.
"I don't think we've met…" Sahitei was interrupted by Ryuuin entering the room.
"Kouji…?" Ryuuin asked, a far-away look in his eyes.
"Nuriko?" The confused teen stared at the beautiful cross dresser.
"Hotohori-sama?" Ryuuin looked at Hotohori. "Do you remember? Konan…"
"Hai… Suzaku-sama… Then that book…" Sahitei whispered in awe.
"Genrou and Houjun, or, Tasuki and Chichiri are already in there, and they need your help…" Kouji said, worried.
"But, we're no longer Seishi? What can we do?" Sahitei asked.
"I-" But Ryuuin was cut off as a blinding red light took the two Seishi from the library.
"Eh, good luck you guys," Kouji shrouged, and continued reading.
