Chapter 14- Explanations

AN: Wow! People actually like my story! That's for all the advice, I'm gonna try to make it better. And something I should have addressed earlier will be addressed in the next chapter. It should explain a bit about the weapons. Basically, they appeared, cause Suzaku gave them all back to whoever owned them, as long as it don't interfere with Miaka. It'll make more sense next chapter, sorry about that. Also, I apologize for how long it's taken to get this chapter out. I had to write a term paper for history, and it took most of my time the last few weeks. Expect several updates this week! Well, I hope you enjoy this chapter! Please R&R!

Ryuuin groaned and forced open his eyes. He forced himself not to drool on Sahitei, who was still unconscious.

He's still as gorgeous as ever. But… I'm shocked he's so sweet to me. It's like… Everything I've ever dreamed of, to just be with him. He's so gentle and caring, and he hasn't really changed… Except that he seems interested in me, Nuriko smirked at the thought.

Suddenly Sahitei's eyes fluttered open and he blinked at Ryuuin for a minute. He smiled at Ryuuin.

"I still owe you an apology," Sahitei placed a hand on Ryuuin's cheek.

"Huh? Apologize for what?" Ryuuin blinked in surprise.

"For hurting you so deeply, in our last life. I was so wrapped up in my own loneliness, I couldn't see your love. And… being the emperor, I had to have a child… I'm just glad I could tell you now. I appreciate all you've done for me. And, how much you've always cared. I know these words can't erase all the pain I've caused, and I do know what I've done. I can't apologize enough, Ryuuin," Sahitei said softly.

"Sahitei… I-" Ryuuin was cut off by someone clearing their throat. The two men screamed at the sight of Taiitsukun.

"Some things never change, ne?" Myst asked, walking out from behind Taiitsukun.

"Yeah, it gets old fast though… And if you say anything to that, I'll put you in orbit," she threatened. Myst chuckled softly.

"Who are you?" Ryuuin asked.

"My name is Myst, and I've brought you here to ask for your help. Two of your friends from your past life are in danger. I sincerely apologize for such bad timing, but it's quite important. Tasuki and Chichiri are going to be killed or worse if we don't rescue them soon," she turned her head away. She still felt guilty for their kidnapping.

Ryuuin got up off of the reincarnated emperor regretfully. Damnit… Just when things were getting good… Oh well, It can wait. I don't want anything to happen to Tasuki to Chichiri now that they have happy lives in the other world…

"What happened? Who took them?" Sahitei asked.

"My sister, Kage. She has the Book of the Universe of the Four Gods in her possession and figured out a spell to re-write the book," Myst explained.

"Why don't the Gods do something about it?" Ryuuin asked.

"They can't. They can no sooner kill her then kill me. We are… the daughters of the gods and the mikos. When the priestesses joined with the gods for that short time, a part of their soul was duplicated and merged with the god. The part of their soul that merged with the god created us. I'm here instead of Pyra because she is still far too young to handle this. She is only 10 years old. I'm the daughter of Byakko and Suzuno. I'm over 100 years old now. However, Kage is Genbu and Takiko's daughter, and the oldest by far. I call her my sister because we are such close friends, and our circumstances make us like family. However… She's always held a great pain from when she was part of Takiko. I'm not sure what she's up to, but it can't be good," Myst explained.

"Wow… So, you're the daughter of a god and a miko… Does that mean you have like incredible god-like powers?" Ryuuin asked.

"Yes, but mine are far less developed then Kage's. Which is why we need your help. Pyra and Mizu are still to young to help control her, so we need your help. Possibly the Seiryuu Seishi as well. But, I don't want to disturb them…" Myst fidgeted uncomfortably, with a faint blush on her cheeks.

Ryuuin grinned evilly and looked closer at Myst, who blushed more and tried to turn away.

"Please tell my it's Amiboshi," Sahitei begged, startling Myst and Ryuuin.

"H-Hai…" Myst stammered.

"Awww! Someone has a crush on Amiboshi!" Ryuuin chanted, laughing softly.

"I-It's-No-Um… yes…" Myst whispered.

"Aww, I'm just teasing. But hey, if you are gonna bring back the Siryuu, start with him. He's at least reasonable," Nuriko said.

"H-Hai…" Myst said and quickly left the room.

"It's odd how her human self loved Tatara so deeply, then falls for another when she's born of another…" Sahitei mused.

"She's a different person. She's not Suzuno, she's Myst. Suzuno is with Tatara. She's probably been alone for a 100 years, and she has a crush on someone, and he dies. And I think she should get him. No one should half to be that lonely," Ryuuin said, his voice suprirsingly gentle.

"You're right. I can understand how she feels. She should bring him back, and tell him how she feels," Sahitei said, and softly touched Ryuuin's hand. Ryuuin held his hand and rested his head on Sahitei's shoulder.

"Hai… Before it's too late," Ryuuin whispered. Turning his head towards Sahitei

"AHEM- I believe Tasuki and Chichiri are in danger. You can be all mushy latter," Taitsukun said, annoyed.

Both men blushed and sweatdropped.

"Hai!" they shouted, in SD and decided to run after Myst to find out what to do next.

"Bakas…" Taiitsukun smiled softly.

Tasuki groaned as he opened his eyes.

"Fuck," he muttered when the light attacked his already aching head.

"Easy, Gen-chan," Houjun said softly.

"What the hell happened?" Tasuki tried to sit up, but fell back onto the bed.

Houjun gently pushed Genrou's bangs back.

"I'm not sure," Houjun said softly.

"I apologize for kidnapping you like that, but it was necessary. I can't allow you to try to stop me," a girl's voice surrounded the two men.

"You're Kage, aren't you?" Houjun asked.

"What the fuck do ya mean? You're crazy! Why the hell would you wanna re-write the book! You're just gonna screw us all over," Genrou screamed at the voice.

"I know it may seem like that, but I'm taking so long because I'm trying to re-write the book so that it won't interfere too greatly. I'm not trying to hurt anyone, though. I confess, it is for my own personal reasons I am doing this," Kage sighed. "You'll be returned to your world after this, but I'll leave your memories if you wish. Please forgive me, I did not want to have to do this."

"Please, just tell us why," Houjun asked.

His only reply was a soft sob and the sound of footsteps running away.

Kage sobbed onto her pillow.

"Why is this taking so long. I don't want to interfere with anyone else's life. I just… All I want is the peace Tokiko was finally granted. I just want to change my own destiny…" the sad girl whispered to the wind.
