"Tasuki!" Houjun heard himself
call out.

"Chichiri! Chichiri!" a redheaded
man shouted, running in between a sword and Chichiri.

"Tasuki!" Chichiri cried his
name as the man fell wounded. Chichiri shot a blast of energy at the soldier,
killing him.

"Houjun… Houjun. Houjun!" the man
shouted.

Houjun woke up from the strange
dream and looked at the monk.

"Wha-I- Sumimasen, sensei," Houjun
said apologetically.

The monk took pity on him and sat
down next to him.

"It's not like you to fall asleep
in meditation Houjun. Have you been sleeping lately?" he asked kindly.

"I-No, I'm always waking up. I keep
having the same dream over and over," Houjun said, greatly disturbed.

"I'm assuming it involves this
'Tasuki' person." The monk said.

"Huh?" Houjun said shocked.

"You were calling out his name,
what happened?" the monk asked.

"I'm not sure, it looked like
ancient China in the middle of a war, and by the look of the armor the warriors
wore. And this man always takes a lethal blow saving me. I don't understand it,
all I know is he's a dear friend," Houjun said.

"Hmm… Interesting. Perhaps you
should meditate on it, ne?" the monk suggested. "Oh, and don't fall asleep
again, or I won't be so kind."

"I understand. I won't," Houjun
promised sincerely.

Genrou yawned and stretched. He
heard Kouji place something at the base of the door.

"What the hell ya up to, Kouji?"
Genrou asked quietly.

"Well, now that you know about my
little secret, nothing's keeping me from watching it," Kouji said, taking the
tape out.

"Oh God…" Genrou said, and rolled
over in bad.

"Oh yeah, forgot you're gay," Kouji
said laughing.

"I told you, I'm not fucking gay!"
Genrou protested.

"Really? Then why do you keep
moaning that guy's name over and over in your sleep, Gen-chan," Kouji asked.
"What's his name, Chichiri?"

"What the… No! It's not like that,
you pervert! I keep having this same dream where I see this guy with blue hair
about to get his by some soldier guy, and I jump in the way. And, in the end, I
always die," Genrou said.

"Shit, that sucks. Why didn't you
tell me bout this, Genrou. We're brothers, you're supposed to tell me all this
shit," Kouji said.

"I know, but… It's insane even to
me, I thought you'd think I lost it completely." Genrou said.

"Ah, don't worry about that one, I
thought you lost it completely a while ago. But still, tell me next time, cause
I keep having a weird dream too," Kouji said.

"Really? Like what?" Genrou asked,
seriously.

"Yeah, you were making out with
this guy and…" Kouji began teasingly until Genrou's pillow shut him up.

"God damn it, Kouji, leave me
alone, I'm not gay!" Genrou said then turned back around and tried to fall
asleep.

Kouji tossed the pillow back at
Genrou and laughed.

"I'm just teasing. G'Night
Gen-chan," Kouji said.

"G'Night Kouji," Genrou said and
closed his eyes.

At least I don't think I
am
… Genrou thought as he drifted to sleep.

The next day, Genrou grabbed his
bookbag and ran out the door, late as usual. He stuffed a bagel in his mouth
and ran full speed towards his school.

Houjun began walking towards the
park; he decided to take some time to think about his strange dream. As he
rounded a corner, someone ran into him.

Genrou dashed through the streets
and ran full force into a man coming around a corner.

"Shit!" Genrou cursed. He shook his
head and got up and offered a hand to the man he knocked down. "I'm sorry, I'm
really late and-"

Both men stared at each other for a
brief moment in shock. They blinked and Houjun took his hand.

"It's ok, I wasn't paying much
attention to where I was going either. No harm done," Houjun said casually.

"Yeah, sorry. Uh, see ya!" Genrou
said as he yet again dashed towards his school.

Houjun watched him leave and shook his head. "Masaka, it
can't be…"
